You just reminded me of a child I had to carry in church today. A boy of about 6 months old. He happens to be the fifth child of his parents and looks obviously malnourished.

The dad said the family planning method failed and that the child was determined to come. The other four kids also look malnourished. The man offered me the child to carry and I almost declined.
