they can't afford it.
Bullshit. Maybe they can divorce the woman they married and bring in the new lady, but they don't do that either.

If they were polygamous in nature, why do they sneak If it's natural?

I am not. I am just telling you the sad truth the world is finding hard to accept
Is polygamy illegal everywhere ?

Even in nigeria, isnt it legal ?

Why arent majority of nigerian men married to multiple women ?

Why do they sneak, if seeing more than one woman is natural?

You are modern, probably educated/civilzed black woman, a modern Nigerian lady, so I don't expect you to understand lol
Oh why not?

You are just making excuses.

Because man made laws and policies limiting man in man's effort to tame man's lust and natural desire for polygamy in an attempt to control global population.

Haven made the law and policies and attached consequences to it, you don't expect man to still go about breaking the same law he made for a purpose....of course if he does that, he faces the consequences as stipulated by the law of the particular land or nation. Reason Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world still paid hugely, lost a huge portion of his wealth when his old wife caught him cheating with a new lady....despite the fact that he is a billionaire with influence, he still paid the price of allowing his man's polygamous nature to control his life.

Also, Russian President Vladmir Putin had to also settle his wife handsomely to ensure she keeps up with the life Putin introduced her to as his wife after their divorce.....this issue of man's polygamous nature is not just common to Nigerian men alone, it is a global menace.

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was also caught cheating with not just one or two or three girls, but with so many supermodels in secrecy with his childhood friend who happens to be a business mogul, and this led to Berlusconi's impeachment.

What about Israeli Ex Presidenthuh He couldn't endure the urge, he had to force himself on a Presidential villa staff, and this also led to his removal as Israeli's President years back.

I can go on and on....its just the nature of man, nobody can do anything about it.

If you want your husband to remain faithful to you, don't go wasting your time trying to look hot or sex or whatever like many people would advice, because those things don't stop a man from cheating....in fact, if you like be the hottest woman on earth, your husband will still get tired and bored of your naked body and will want to witness a sight of another lady's body, who may not even be as pretty as you the wife....sadly.

All you need to do is keep praying for him to have fear of God in him and for God to grant him the grace....those are the only sure ways, any other thing doesn't work!
What laws are you talking about?? Isnt polygamy perfectly legal in Nigeria??

But yet these men shout that they are polygamous while being married to one women ?

If majority of Nigerian men are polygamous, why don't we see that in society?

Why do they sneak behind their wives back, if what they're doing is perfectly natural?

Oh by the way, you can still get married to more than 1 woman in the west...all you need to do is approach the mosques and they would gladly marry 3 people.

All you're doing is making excuses for cheating.

Grace of God? I'm pretty sure the aggressive woman in that video prays daily like most nigerians. Where was the grace of God?

Women should understand that it is in the nature of men to desire other women other than their wife, nothing can stop it, and as husband and wife age, the man will lose total interest sexually in the aging wife and will want to explore younger ladies with appealing body, especially if the man is financially well to do, it is inevitable and as a lady, if you cannot deal with it, stay single forever.

It is not peculiar to Nigerian men alone, it is a global practice or why do you think the wife of the richest man in the world Jeff Bezos divorced himhuh It's as a result of cheating by Jeff, so don't say Nigerian men are scum, all men are naturally polygamous, only the fear of God and total commitment to God's teachings can make a man faithful to his wife till death.

So ladies if you can't handle the issue of your husband cheating, kindly divorce him and stop embarrassing yourself and your fellow ladies in the name of fighting for your husband abi marriage
If that was the case, why do these men date these women in secret? Why must they sneak?

Why dont nigerian men marry more than I woman from the start?

She will be 32 in September, yes I just couldn't wait for her to get married and leave the house because she has been an obstacle for me. I have caused her pain but I think the pain that I have caused her is not the same as the one she caused me for almost 6 years now. All the insults, humiliations, disgrace , mocking , when my baby was younger if the baby cried at night , she will kick me out of then room to sleep there just because she is going to work in the morning and she want no noises , if am doing chores and my baby is crying she will not attend to the baby and left her to cry her eyes out , if my baby run out of nappies she will insult the hell out of me did I ask you to go and open your legs , go and use one your cloth as a nappy , do you know how much she hurt and kill me alive with her words all those years and if a outsider is mocking you it hurt so bad but imagine your own blood sister insulting you and mocking me, my heart bleeds so bad. I regret what I did that's why I'm trying to fix her up and God knows that I am evil
You are not evil, you are just hurting.

A lot of people blaming her.

Not mentioning the pain her sister must have caused her and her boy friend.

Some times we humiliate people feeling we are correcting them.

She should taste from her own sauce, why arrest your sister and her husband and keep them for three days. Is that not wickedness.

Anyway the both of you served well
Tell me about it. The young girl was pushed to the wall. She's already getting it hot from
judgemental Nigerian society for being an unwed teen mother and the sister is adding to her humiliation.

The sister is the type that kicks someone when they're down.

That doesn't mean what he did was Ok.

He slept with a 15 yr old, he was 24. Why couldn't he approach a girl near his age?? Teen girls are more naive and easier to manipulate that's why.

The fact that you said he's 29 and doesn't have a career set up is troubling.

Let these sentimental fools get on with their nonsense yapping. A vulnerable teenage girl gets pregnant, she feels terrible, insecure and shameful about her situation already, then her family adds salt to injury. That her sister must be very vengeful and childish. That child was given birth to 5 years ago. Isn't that enough time to forgive and move forward? Does seeing the child not bring happiness? Na wa o.

The energy she expended in making life miserable for her kid sister, should have been channelled into saving her own relationship. Those years she spent hating and cussing at her sister's lover should have been used to build a solid foundation of trust in her own relationship, but no she squandered it all on vengeance. How her fiance succumbed easily to those lies says a lot about their relationship.

Even funnier is how she cusses, abuses and rages but a man leaves her, she gets depressed so much so that she stopped going to work. I scoff. That's not how to be a strong woman. Not by cussing, not by raging. It's by something else.

But they're sisters now? You get? Ok let me ask you this, is there any provocation that can lead you to call the police on your sibling? Come to think of it. Didn't the elder sister think about their parents? Now I'm not saying op was right, just saying as much as we're calling out the op, her sister too should be blamed.

And trust me, if op's bf had absconded when he got her pregnant, it's this same sinister elder sister that would remind op everyday that "you see, you gave birth to a bastard". She would have reminded op everyday that her child is a bastard without a moment's hesitation.

The thing about most of us is that, we've not yet fully grasped the concept of unconditional love. Unconditional love looks beyond past mistakes, forgives, and helps the other person grow. It guides them for as long as they need guidance and support. This is what I expect of the sister. If you must reprimand, do it once and move past it, not rip the other person of what's left of their self-confidence.
Thank you. I'm sure the OP already feels like shit for being a teen mum in a country like Nigeria. The sister kept twisting the knife, she didn't need that. What she needs is guidance

OP was pushed to the wall. Hurt people hurt others.

So because she got impregnated at a younger age now her life is completely useless? If the said bf had money, you all wouldn't be talking like this. Is the guy the first man to drink, smoke or impregnate outside of marriage? The fact that he's penniless doesn't mean he's entirely useless. What about the part where he acknowledges the child? Doesn't that count for something?

OkunrinMeta:
I have noticed that most of us men don't care about personal grooming. If your hair is l stubborn, most men would simply cut it low instead of looking for a way to make it soft and style it in a way that looks better.

I am not one of those men. I love my hair. So I do the following:

1. Relaxer: This only softens it. I comb my hair while the relaxer is in it. It trains the hair to allow me comb in that direction. Please note that my hair is so tough that you wouldn't even know after I applied relaxer, once it's dried. The main effect is that is much easier to comb for the next 1 week or 2. I use ebony relaxer, it's cheap and it helps darken my Grey hair.

2. Conditioner: I recommend leave in conditioner. Be very generous with it. But buy one that you like the smell. So that'll encourage you to use it. Apply generously to your hair then use a big enough comb.

3.Comb at midday: if your hair is as stubborn as mine. Combing once a day may not cut it. Put a comb in your car, laptop bag or pocket so you can quickly use it during the day. You simply entre a rest room and comb your hair, it's allowed.

For those of you that would say I am less of a man for doing all that. Don't worry, I agree with you. Yall are the real men. I am the man that likes my hair and how I look.
grin

Why don't you cut your hair instead of applying unhealthy relaxer? undecided
