I think those differentials you talked about are in percentages, not absolute values. A neutrophils count of 54% and lymphocytes of 41% are all still within normal values.

Thanks for the fixes, I interpreted with the absolute values. I would have supposed the Request form had percentage symbol (%) written next to each values as I usually know. This faulty slightness wouldn't have been done.

Ok sir. Thank you. So it has nothing to do with HIV cos that's my greatest fear right now. Plus sometimes I have this raised skin (sometimes a lil bit swollen) like on my hand but it disappears in minutes. Like yesterday night too I had this feeling of interns itch on my hand. I scratched it and that part hot a little bit raised. All these in addition to my body being hot.

I don't think it is HIV-AIDS, but I am more suspicious of allergy and/or autoimmunity. At least your blood cells profile has confirmed it. It will continue until a proper diagnosis is done to know the antigen or even the antibodies responsible for it. For the now stay on management till you are cash enough for a proper diagnosis to it.

Just in case to fasten your work up, you may require an endovaginal or transvaginal ultrasound done for full confirmation. At this stage an abdominal ultrasound may not be helpful though.

About 9 months ago I had all the typical ARS symptoms in the book after an exposure . I mean all of it. Which most of it stopped after about some months. But write now from the last test I did my WBC was 4.9( this has been dropping rapidly since my exposure) and from whats on the result it should be from 4.8- 10.
As it stands I do have multiple sores inside my mouth and on my gum most times. Rashes on my whole body from time to time.
I have done vdrl, hepetitis a-C, hiv even did a PCR(undetected), and a host of other test.
Like I said I had the typical ars symptoms and it still scares me as I still have oral thrush(doctor diagnosed this and gave me drugs for it yet no improvement) I do have these rashes every now and then too. I still have my nodes in neck swollen( saw this when I was having the ars symptoms) and from the test I did. It shows my nodes range is higher than normal.
What could be the cause and are there diseases which imitates HIV or could it be HIV but yet test isn’t picking it yet.

An increase level of Monocytes, Eosinophils and Basophils represent either a Chronic inflammatory infection, an autoimmune disease or problem with allergy. It is rarely tumour in most cases. This is the very reason for your easy preposition to suffer anaemia. My main differential here likely going to be allergy or autoimmune disease(not fully blown).

A persisting fever is an indication of a stable or unstable continuous inflammatory activities either by an explained or unexplained causes or agents.
Let's start from the former as I wrote formerly. Bring me result after the sputum screening and throat swabbing.

How many weeks was in between when you had the kiss done and the time symptoms started showing?

I am really concerned about the differentials and what they mean.
Malaria- No parasite seen
Vdrl- non reactive

Everything is alright except for the normally low haemoglobin which could either get lower if this condition presses harder.
Also, I would preferred you wrote values for Monocytes, Eosinophils and Basophils as written on the request form than giving them as a guess.

Hello Doc. Good afternoon. Please I've been running temperature for months now. I don't feel feverish or sick tho. Its just that my body is always hot. Checked my temperature via axillary and its always within 37-37.5 degree Celsius. Since December till now. It happened last month and I took malaria drugs coupled with antibiotics and it went away but I still run temperature. Coupled with mild head aches, joint and muscle aches. And a sense of urgency to stool (loose, not watery with normal stool)- mild diarrhea. Plus I have mild cough and I occasionally bring out sputum (I think that's what its called-saliva mixed with phlegm). And I also have white spots down my throat too. I did malaria/typhoid test and malaria showed no parasite seen and typhoid showed D 1/20 insignificant. I started noticing all these when i kissed a particular girl when I had harmattan sore on my lip. I cant say for sure if she had blood on her lip but I didnt taste blood. What's really the cause? I did a blood test and I'll drop the results.

Have you done swabbing of your the throat?
What about culturing of the sputum?

Pls have been having health issue for a long time now. my symptoms are i usually have catarrh with block nose that i find it difficult to breath through my nasal. at times some whitish and yellow color comes out. this is accompany by pressure feeling at right side in my stomach, i do notice this rash at my both thigh that itch me , i feel pressure in my forehead. at times i fill like something is moving in my stomach and i feel pains in my wrist. The test i did say malaria and moderate growth of staph . others are always negative like typhoid,HIV,hepatitis B and C.I treated the staph and malaria but the malaria usually comes back immediately after treatment. i have use all sort of drugs ,even injection, take drips but i just feel better and get worst again after treatment. I dont know what could be wrong with me. pls assist doctor

Let me have names of the drugs or medication you have undergone so far on this present complaint ?

Also, is this your first time experiencing this?

I am doing fine, and I hope you are not that worried as I supposed?
At 6weeks the yolk sac should be visible on ultrasound. This means a lot to the continuity of the pregnancy. A lack in detection only meant:
1) the pregnancy age concluded on previously might not have been 6weeks but even far less than the predicted.
2) an early loss of the pregnancy.
In the both, it will be normal to not experience pregnancy symptoms. But if the first was maintained there are enough hope to experience pregnancy symptoms as its ages.
Having the first assumption to be right, it would be sensible enough to have you come for scanning 1-2weeks after the previous one to cover weeks for the expected . And if the result remains the same, a further two weeks may be requested and analysis on your hCG concentration or even progesterone just to know what's up.
Stay calm, avoid thinking too much about this, keep a positive spirit, and eat well to keep you and the baby in utero healthy.

Okay doctors I need a little knowledge update here usually I don't take Yogurt because it is fermented.So I do avoid it despite my carvIng for it because i noticed anytime I consume yogurt malaria is the next thing .Yesterday I had this rocket malaria that hit me, so I took the necessary preventive drug and was feeling better.I even took some swallows so the drugs would work quickly.Now this night I noticed the malaria had crawled back.So I did a memory googling and remember the soup I consumed was a little bit fermented.I just want to know is there a relationship between consuming fermented food and drop in resistance to malaria.Thank you.

This question will be well answered by Consultant doctors on Clinical Microbiology or Immunology. However, on my part I simply can't trace any pathophysiology between ingesting fermented food and malaria fever. It may just be coincidental or a matter of individual predispositions.

I wish to get solution to my health issue... Had unprotected sex last year, but discovered some whitish substance after each ejaculation.

Thought it was normal, I stopped having sex since October, but discovered was losing weight. Ran an STD test and discovered had staphylococcus. Amoxicillin is okay for me, mine concern is the ACT with Lumefantrine in combination which is suitably recommended for second trimester hence. But what if your symptoms were too much just to over look? Or, the prescription was done in the place of a needed one?

Get to hear from him to assure you of this medication, to know the present risk in using the drug in your first trimester and the chances of having any complications on using it.

I don't really know the names of some of drugs used in the past because it's counted inside hospital drug envelope.

I've used 3 different pain relieve drugs based on doctors recommendation between the month of September, October, November, I didn't use the forth one beyond a day(tramadol + anorol used on 13th of this month) when it nearly killed me the first day of treatment but I had blurred vision, feeling like throwing up, a kind of seized breath which lasted for about 3minutes that night. I took 2 drip at the hospital and about 3 antibiotic passed to my body system via IV but I don't know the name of these medication.

The medication given to me at the hospital where they said i had malaria consist of 7 drugs but I know of bco, carmosunate but the rest 5 I don't know their names. I started the medication on 14th but stopped on 16th when the injection makes me weak & doctor is not ready to listen to my pleas on how the injection makes me becomes weaker. Before I start taking the injection, my body is strong than this but ever since I started taking the injection I become weak although it has improved than then but I don't have up to 70% energy out of 100% I used to have.

Presently I use stemetil given to me by doctor to be taken 1 tablet per day, aside that I don't use anything even blood tonic I don't take it because doctor never recommend it

1. I don't feel drowsy but I do feel like to just be at state of rest. Simple task and I will feel tired and need to rest.

2. No dry mouth

3. No weight gain so far

4. No increase in urine frequency

5. No blurriness

Let me quickly add that this January, I had a feeling like something seized/hook in my left chest and lasted for 3 days although it reduced each day. I lodge same complaint to doctor but he said it's nothing.

Good day sir, I have been having these symptoms for a while now. it was neck pain coupled with right ear side, I consulted a doctor and was prescribed ibuprofen and two other drugs. The symptoms persist after done with the drugs and I revisited the hospital and was prescribed Neurogelsic and orphensic tablet and the symptoms am having now is like a light pain at the back of thyroid gland (gogongo) It doesn't affect when I lie down and no difficulty swallowing or any other thing. Pls urgent reply.

How are you doing? Is there any improvement?
However, those symptoms are merely attach to the muscle relaxant in combination to the pain reliever you used. It will certainly stop if my assumption is right.

You may let me know the two drugs you had before now to the ibuprofen.

I feed him in bits and burp him but before the belch comes out the milk comes out. I've tried sitting him upright in a position for long also but it doesn't seem to work. Please what else do I do? How is your baby doing?
Assuming this is coming in time, you may:

1) Carefully keep a relax spirit about this issue. This will give you room to study the feeding habit you are imposing on the baby and the kind of change you will need to address to shift this issue shift to annul. A relax spirit will ward off the immediacy to act quickly and experiment hurtful negotiations that are not necessary to try.

2) Know that some reflux are normal in most infants and may reduce with time.Normal burping procedures and normal feeding process should be in the doing and not changed. You may need to:
a) avoid shaking the baby's head and body after every feeding.
b) avoid feeding the baby too frequently.
c) avoid feeding the baby just too immediately after a reflux. Learn to allow some minutes or an hour before before refeeding.
d) feed baby with little quantity of water after some reflexes. This shouldn't be all the time, but giving him little quantity after a reflux could help in replacing thirst and body dryness. Watch out for urination. Then give feeding a trial.
e) stop feeding baby for a long time if possible.
f) study how comfortable your baby is to know when to give feeding. This will predict to suggest whether a long feeding or short feeding is necessary:
i) after any medication
ii) a temperature change
iii) a sudden fall
iv) after a sleep.

3) Does any change comes with this reflux? For example, do you observe that he hardly passes faeces? Hardly sleeps? Passes scanty urine? Passes watery faeces? Hardly cries or cry too often? changes in movement in the eyes and eyeballs? Color of urine and faeces and the impression on the waste pads? Change in breathing?

4) Seek the help of a Pediatrician if possible to know what is the most available help you can get in the present practice to such presenting case.

5) Kindly let other experience mothers be known of your present dilenma, they may have one good input to shift in that will either reduce or stop the degree of the refluxing or even change your mental state on how you see this challenge.

2days ago during my visit to doctor, he only asked me to continu taking stemetil he gave me 10days as 5mg per day. the problem was that my body is not 100% agile like it used to be before the whole thing started. I cant go to work now because I feel tired and lack energy to work. If I try to wash my cloth, the moment am done with just 1 shirt I will be tired and feel like to rest. Doctor asked me to come back after a month despite that stemetil he gave me will last till 4days time. is there any test I can do to detect why I still have feeling of tiredness? doctor said I had malaria 2weeks ago but I stopped treatment after 2days when it makes me weaker then I took 2 IV exactly 2weeks ago. please what can I do to restore my health to perfect state within shortest time? before I took the injection & drugs, I wasnt this tired. please I need your suggestion.

NOTE: I have done RBS, FBS, FBC/CBC, Hepatitis B/C, HIV & result shows that am not positive
