Hello Doctors in the house. I'm on a daily dose of Amlodipine 10mg in the mornings for High BP. I also just started anti-malaria treatment today (Coartem).

I haven't been sleeping well lately and I intend to take Lexotan to aid sleep tonight.

Is it safe to take Lexotan with Coartem while using Amlodipine? I'll appreciate a response. Thank you.
Very safe though I am of the thought that the Benzodiazepines (Lexotan) may upgrade metabolic activity affecting the other drugs. This may affect Coartem blood level and the short term use to which you insist on using it may not be dully established. I would advice you make use of it hours before both the Calcium channel (Amlodipine) and Coartem just to have a stone at hand to kill two birds.

This question is vague. You did not tell what lead to your being prescribed a Clomid meds. Effective for what?
Is it effective for abortion? Effective for diarrhea? Or, effective for headache? (Smiles)

Please doc, what's the most common symptom of herpes?
Cause I've got 2 unbroken sores between my left fingers with the tips clear, like it's water inside the.
I have some itchy spots that look like mosquito bites on my wrist, under arms and shoulders, one on my waist, 2 spots below my groin and some itchy feeling around my ankles like its mosquito bites.
I have felt a little feverish for several days, the harmattan on the 2nd hit me harder than most.

I last had sex on the 15th of dec, with protection. I shaved my pubic region the morning of that day also.

Please i need ur opinion...
Since when has this been?

I feel it might cause low sperm count or also cause illness in the guy.educate me if am wrong
A man's seminal quality and quantity is totally independent of a woman's menstruation. Sex during her period has no reaching arm to a man's semen character control room. Thus, the idea of low sperm is purely a myth.
Blood study done on menstruating women showed an increased in levels of white blood cells during periods covering from her ovulation and bleeding. This actually, is due not to infection per se but because of the inflammatory activities that is involve in both phases of her cycle. This wake up of white blood cells raises her immunity in one sense, and that it would be quite impossible to pass an infection provided all things being equal and balanced.

Have an appointment with a physical doctor if this serious from your side. A physical examination should be done to know what could be responsible before anything else.

Sometimes last yr i missed my period for 3 months and i was having vaginal itching and smelly discharge the Dr asked me to go for pelvic scan and it was detected that i have pid it was treated and my period resumed until last month when i didn't see it, now i don't have any itching neither do i have any smelly vagina discharge, so i don't think it's pid this time.
You can still be right but cases of asymptomatic PID that ended in causing blockage of the fallopian tube(s) are numerous. You just can't be sure until a confirmatory culturing has been done.

Good morning Dr in the house pls i need your help,i had my period in November but i didn't see it in December i'm not pregnant because i didn't have sexual intercourse and i also have vigina dryness what could be wrong with me,i need your help urgently because i'm working towards conceiving a baby won't this affect it?
A drying vaginal does not directly stand as a barrier to conceiving in anyway. Some vaginal dryness are normal and psychogenic and would only become worse with stress and fear. Most dryness are relative to several factors to which affects the normal cellular architecture of the vagina in the long run. This could be irritation from soaps, some medications, perfumes and even some lubricants.
Much extensively, other factors to have interest in may be alterations in your ovarian hormone concentration, aging and vaginal infections. The causes therefore are numerous.
If trying sex has become painful on numerous times, you may have to seek a doctor's help on it. This may welcome investigation for STI/PID/UTI. Your doctor may see the need to help with any useful lubricant while you wait for the vaginal dryness to improve provided the dryness is not infection related. If this is obviously not working out, then getting to know your ovarian hormone concentration may be important especially if the dryness is coming up with other symptoms and signs.
However, if you are patient enough most dryness selflimit on their own.

2) Cushing's disease
3) Secondary hypertension
4) Conn's syndrome
5) Pregnancy related hormonal changes
6) Obesity

Sent sir
Alright, it looks more like Tinea versicolor( refer often as eczema though is not). Try a Clotrimazole cream on your skin for at most 4weeks. You may decide to use in addition Zinc pyrithione soap for rapidity, or even alone.
You have to be patient with it, it does not go that faster from the skin as you may expect. Report to me after those times have been covered and yet no change.
You may likely stop any form of medication that is in one way affecting your immunity, you may have to allow the body have fresh air, remove dust from your clothes and take bath seriously.

Thank you Doctor, I will like to know the side effects of the two treatments. The doctor mentioned weight loss and hair loss probably.
Yes! Those are the obvious effect of Chemotherapy among the others. This may cause the doctor to permit her shaving all hair on her scalp.
See Chemotherapy (on cancer treating patient) as an wholistic approach to fighting foreign cells that have gone malignant and invasive. The idea of malignancy makes every medical doctor to think there is some degree of metastasis(spreading). So, the best way to handle it is to attack the body in whole rather than just the place of clinical presentation.
This means Chemotherapy attacks both the normal body cells and the foreign one. If it's just as I explained then the following may seem to be effects on Chemotherapy treatment:
1) Loss of hair
2) loss of weight
3)loss of appetite
4) tendency to suffer infection
5) anemia
6) amnesia
7) lethargy
8.) can worsen some conditions if not known as at that time.

How old is she?

Yes sir, am a little bothered why I haven't taken in after myomectomy. Its 5month now. I hope am clearer sir, thank you for your response.
Alright. Sometimes it happens and usually with no special cause to it. I would advise you bear a little longer to see what comes in the new year. While doing so, you may just have to undergo scanning of your pelvis to know if anything could be really wrong.
But, how long have you been longing to have pregnancy being married?

What can be done to stop pus after the peritonitis surgery? cry
You may likely be seeing pus for abscess. The doctor may have to drain the abscess as it may prevent antibiotics circulation over that tissue (region), after which an antibiotics in any suitable administration applied.

Doctors in the house... Please, unprecisely like 4weeks back, I noticed this yellowish discoloration on my skin... Its on the upper region of my back and of recent, migrated to the chest...

Please, how can I combat it...

Note: I doubt if its cream reaction cause its being ages since I applied cream on my back or chest and I only cream my face, hands and feet when I bath at night...

Also, this is,my first time of experiencing such massive change in skin colour

Also, I consume egg(fried) and beans massively
Okay. I can see them but not too obvious for me to nod in agreement to what I am in suspicious about?
Alright. Now, do:
1) you experience itching before you observe this, do you itch present?
2) you observe a ring-like impression on the spot of pigmentation? ( Please kindly roll your finger over it)
3) you expose yourself to any substance you haven't been expose to before apart from dust that comes with the harmattan?

Kindly, post another pics, a bold one let it be bright enough so I can the pigmentation clearly.

Aren't you expecting normal cycles after the fibroid removal?
Or, are you indirectly trying to seek why you haven't had pregnancy after the myomectomy?
Explain properly, your first post does not carry too much for for anyone (me in person) to understand you.
