Balqx.

That shouldn't bother you much, the fact that you have use Oxygen inj and Misoprostol pessary and oral has already laid the foundation for an abortion. The pregnancy may hardly survive, the bleeding may not be sudden but in some women it can just happen given some hours or even days away. It is missed in some sense already. Take a visit to the clinic and have a full conceptus removal for your health sake.

Goodluck!

Hi Doctors in the group. Pls I need a little medical advice.
I'm supposedly pregnant but scan result shows missed abortion. I last saw my menstruation 4th May.
I'm so confused. I'm feeling pregnant. Morning sickness, nausea, sore breast, extremely vomiting and loss of appetite.
I'm not spotting and no miscarriage signs what's over.

I don't even know what to say, but I'm so scared.
They said I should evacuate immediately but I don't think I'm strong enough for D&C.
My threshold for pains is 110%.
I don't even know what I want, I'm just so scared.

Is there no other ways to expel naturally without D&C.
Done!

Good evening, doctor. Pls I need your help. My husband and I use condom as contraceptive because we are not ready for another baby yet due to some circumstances. It broke last time we had sex and I took postinor2 within 24hrs. My period refused to show up this month, I did test and came out positive. I confined on my neighbour (a nurse), she gave me oxy injection and asked me to insert one 200mcg misoprostol in my vaginal at night. When i went to pee the following day, I saw just drop of blood with tissues and nothing more. She then asked me to take the remaining three 200mcg misoprostol sublingual which I did but still saw little blood and nothing more. The pregnant is 5weeks. I'm planning to go to hospital on Monday, but I'm getting scared...
Scared?! Of what?

Yes, I have always conceived without clomid. The doc’s major concern is to help regulate my circle. And yes major concern is carrying the next pregnancy to term.
Your cycle will regulate itself that shouldn't be any problem provided that there is not obvious or insidious complication from your last miss. He may need to review this decision again not to bring up problems that weren't there before.

Clomid could actually predisposed the user to intermittent vaginal spotting. This is rare except for cases of wrong usage or long term use. I wouldn't advice on using it if you have a normal smooth ovulation cycle or if you have being carrying pregnancy without its use for the previous ones. In this, it is advisable to seek a doctor's opinion on how to use it to avoid acute and long-term use effects.

I would prefer to know why he would want to have me on Clomid if were you, have you at anytime discuss with him the difficulty in carrying pregnancy after missing one?
Does taking Clomid have a way of preventing further pregnancy loss?

While you remain seeking to hear from him, in mine opinion I rather would have you not rushed to take the Clomid and if you haven't really been having problem making pregnancy then there is really no fast rush in going for it. The interest at heart now should be on how to manage your next pregnancy to term since you don't problem making one.

I have a puncture under both of my feet. They've been there for a very long time close to or more than 10 years. The covering is shaped like a cone which I can pull out after a while, but it forms again later on. It hurts when I walk especially in cold weather.

I haven't really seen a doctor about it. What do you suggest?
I suggest you see a doctor to examine it and tell you what's up with it forming again and again after your numerous pullings.

Thanks for your response sir/ma.

I have done my ECG and it came out normal, the cardiologist however named a term "partial right bundle branch block" which he called normal and can be found in healthy individuals.

I did my kidney function test and it was normal too, they discovered an ectopic right kidney of normal properties. They also said it is not uncommon in healthy individuals.

I did my urinalysis and it was fine too.

Please sir/ma, are there others necessary tests I still need to do? And I sincerely don't mind calling you if you will permit. And please is a long term use of atenonol safe for me?
You may need to discuss with your doctor on changing your antijypertensive cause long term use of Atenolol has a chance to causing anxiety. This is rare and the anxiety could only surface on rare opportunities. Meanwhile, what were those tests you did for the kidney?

Doctors in the house, I have been experiencing pain in the ear for a while, went to the hospital on Thursday, the doctor asked me a few questions and checked my ear, they discovered it was octomycosis, they gave me one anti fungel eardrop and told me to come back on Monday for ear washing, while I used the eardrop the pain stopped, yesterday I went back to the hospital for the ear washing, I was told me to come back in 6 weeks time. But the problem now is that I started experiencing small pain in the ear yesterday evening...and this morning I started experiencing occasional pain in the other ear, what could be the problem now, is this normal? I still use the eardrop though
Hope, you have seen a doctor concerning this for proper ear examination?

How are you feeling now?

Boss,

Was beaten by heavy rain about three weeks ago and ever since, I have had this fever. I went to FMC and was given Malaria treatment(Lonart) and this is after taking a Malaria drug before now.

Early this week after these treatments, I went for test again and Malaria one plus was diagnosed. I took Maladreich and three injections but the cold and fever continued. Had to be admitted and given several drips and drugs.

Was discharged just yesterday yet am not fully feeling OK. Had a very mild fever now though still taking Gvither tabs.

I am scareddddd
Malaria parasite one plus is not a serious problem, being an African and a Nigerian you are almost by all chances to possess that one plus whether sick or not. So that is not the problem.

You have just been discharge from the clinic, why not give the body time to recuperate. Weeks after a normal medication for Malaria fever, some of us still feels sick especially that low drive to do anything is killing. How much you will take to finally come to yourself is a matter of time and how long you have been ill or if the malaria is secondary to another condition or a complication arising from it. But you just have to beat it and focus on yourself and hope you are well. Go down to work and involve in the normal daily activities. Pooooom! When you are no longer noticing yourself, you just find that you are back to the normal you balling the street.

You will be fine. For the mild fever, just take Paracetamol and eat more of fruits and try much as you can to do little things around you. However, if there is no improvement withing 2-3weeks or it is getting worse before the these weeks, kindly see a doctor.

Good afternoon Drs

@Dr 2Ballz
A brief history before my question.
I had a miscarriage July last year. Did a d and c August 9th. period resumed September and I took in Nov. 34weeks Later (4th of July this year) I had early
contractions and had a stillbirth with cord tied round her neck multiple times which made her chock to death. the delivery was vagina. at 30 weeks I had braxton hicks and was given salbutamol and paracetamol to control it.

before my discharge at the hospital the doctor said my next pregnancy I will have to do cervical cervical cerclage.

my questions
1. is cervical cerclage necessary
2. was told to take clomid ones my period starts but the reviews I got online about the drug scares me. what's your take on clomid.
I really do want to try again what would you advice
Let me attend your questions directly as possible as I can:

1st Que.
is cervical cerclage necessary?

I think this should goes straight to and at the doctor that managed your pregnancy during your prenatal period. Why?
He has been the giving both a physical and pelvic examination and stand to be the one to consider fixing stitches over your cervix. Perhaps, he still feels the morbid prematured birth contraction could have come about by a poor uterine cervical support. This is could be "necessary " or even "not necessary ". Necessity for it will prove itself again and the fact that you have an history to this may tend to push him to examine your cervix in your later pregnancy, a scoring will be done and if probably you have a the cervix has the tendency to let go prematurely, then a fixing is most likely appropriate. However, the cerclage may not be necessary if scoring applies otherwise and your cervical support is adaptive or if there is no other complication that may warrant going for it. Prevention of frequent abortion especially linking to poor cervical support can be avoided if you stay some months at least 6months after an a miscarriage or abortion. This will improve the structure of the uterine cervix to structural functions as well provided there no infection and inborn structural problems before now.

2 2nd Question.

This is also a question left for him to answer. Why did he ask your using of Clomid? There should be a reason for this.
Before I give you my take on Clomid, I would love to know what scares you about Clomid.

Compliance,

Atenolol is a selective Beta-blocker drug that helps in controlling a high blood pressure. Other major features to which Atenolol is prescribable to someone having Arrythmiasis (either associating with or not high blood pressure). With the likes of Bisoprolol, Mesoprolol and others, it may fit in to avoid heart modeling due to an extensive poorly managed heart failure condition. Long term use significantly is less troublesome.

Now! Have you done ECGs of your heart?

Apart from knowing your HBP, what other thing have you done to confirm or rule out any perceive causes?

it wasn't even after eating cos I could remember before the pains I didn't eat anything with bone. And the pain did change position, the first day I noticed it, it was at the right side of my throat and the following day I felt it at the left side, right now the pain I feel while coughing is very severe,
Lizzy! Lizzy!!

Try and explain better next time. All this time I have thought it was a bone stuck about your throat after a meal.
This is a throat pain lasting about 4days now, right?
Don't over work yourself about this, throat pain and common cold are preponderance among pregnant women (especially at the 1st-2nd trimester) and susceptible ones especially during this rainy season.

I can assure you, it will self-limit on it own provided all things being equal. However, a long stayed throat pained can predisposed you to several health complications such as sinusitis, or even pneumonia or some form of heart problems. If I were you I would on my own try to do the following to avoid these problems :

1) spit out all the sputum form this instead of swallowing. You can't spit them all out, that's like wanting to get your mouth dried. I meant, don't swallow in those excess saliva you will have to experience during this throat paining condition.

2) Both in the early morning and going down to dusk, take your tooth brush and a warm water. Roll over your soft palate with your tongue, you will observe some fleshly inflammatory substance over it. Toothbrush over those area, you may want to vomit cause you will be sweeping over your vomiting trigger zone. This area is deep and you may want to this severally and rinse with the warm water.

3) Avoid talking too loud.

4) Eat warm food and before going to bed, take warm tea.

5) Use Metronidazole for 3-4days. Morning and evening time.

You will be fine.

Should symptoms last above 1wk, kindly seek help from your physical doctor.

Thanks Doc. She's not asthmatic sir(according to her) but if it's rhinovirus what can she do? I've not known her for up to a year, I'm sure it's not a recent problem too but she hasn't managed it well so far from my observation
Actually, It is not a matter of not managing it well or not. The virus is in the hair and the mares and could provoke symptoms for susceptible persons. The virus exhibit a mild virulence and not one that poses threat to anyone. Spread is easy and usually by breath droplet. You need to educate her on coughing on her sleeves or cubital angle as to get yourself free from her drift.

She may need to do this to fasten relief from this Common cold:

1) Exposure to a steamy environment. Prepare a boiled water in a water bath. You have to wrap over her clothes and bed blanket while she sits around the water bath containing the boiled water. This is making closure on her such that she is expose to high temperature vapors that will decongest nose and reduces the viral activity. This should not last more than 30-45mins. Morning and evening is enough for this.

2) Before going to bed she should take some warm Coffee tea. Or, she should take as a meal a peppersoup of Chicken made or a dried fish.

3) She should make use of some simple antibiotics as to prevent complications leading to sinusitis and otitis media.

4) Avoid coming in contact with crowding.

5) Since she has used decongestant for the while, i would advise she dropped down slowly to avoid rebound from stopping it.

6) Use of pain reliever is advisable to reduce the fever if it is not proving better.

7) Keep the home dust-free as much as you can.

I assure you she will be fine sooner than you expect. Do things 1-2 times, she will improve soon.

Doc my gal usually experience stuffy nose at night, especially one nostril blocked, her eyes gets watery, she itches whenever anything like dirt touch her skin. This congestions occur mostly at nights and in the mornings, I asked her and she said sometimes dust also causes the same reactions, also she can't stay anywhere there's Cat because she still experiences the same thing. What I noticed is that the problem seems more this raining season and she likes sleeping under fan. How can she manage herself properly to avoid such reactions? I have been buying inhaler for her to use for her blocked nostrils and it works but once cold enters her body everything starts again.
I guess this is not the first time she is experiencing this.

She is having Rhinovirus common cold disturbance.
