vower:That's where you're wrong. SP Tool will flash anything thrown at it provided it's in the correct format. Not to scare you though ![]() Use that last link and don't forget to share your testimonies, least I forget the first boot can take upwards of 5 to 10 minutes plus to complete |
vower:I hope you flashed the right rom for your device? With the similarities in the names is quite easy to get things mixed up. Checkup this link, it's for locked bootloader. Hope yours is? It should get it fixed http://en.miui.com/thread-193681-1-1.html |
vower:What exactly do you mean by "not coming on"? Does the screen turn on but it's stuck on boot screen or nothing happens despite pressing power key for 10-15 seconds? If it's not coming on then it's obviously not flashed successfully What device model do you have? |
vower:Did you read through the rom thread before flashing? Plz go thru all the instructions to the letter |
nick4lifeng:I am with Zenith, Obio Akpor UBE. Believe the commissioner at your own peril. These people just dey lie anyhow as if it's part of their job description ![]() |
vower:Sorry about that. Plz next time follow the instructions on the thread to the letter & use only download links already provided unless stated otherwise. SP Tool has several versions & for some weird reason only a limited few can be used to flash your Xiaomi device without issues, if you read comments on those threads you'll see that other people had same problem until they discovered the exact version that works with that particular rom perfectly. It's not peculiar to this rom, others too have their preferred version of SP Tools. I hope you've got it fixed by now anyway? Cheers |
It is quite disheartening & indeed inhumane to deliberately withhold someone's wages especially when you consider the rising inflation. Fellow colleagues my heart goes to you... @Chibuking81 Martin Luther King said he who stands for nothing will fall for anything, as a full grown man if tomorrow your child reports to you that he is bullied, will you advice the kid to keep quiet & accept it? Let's try as much as we can to let the public know what some of our colleagues are passing through. It is this lukewarm & timid attitude that has resulted to our senior colleagues being owed years of promotion arrears, promotion several times but only on paper & still being paid old salary, poor welfare, high handedness etc etc Look around you and enquire, it's mostly the people on the field that has these issues stated above & not other ministries ![]() I've been quiet in this forum these past few weeks but I've come to realise that's their aim; to cause confusion amongst us thus they deliberately paid some & left some out. Please let's speak up! |
40manlappy:Xiaomi is called the Apple of China for a reason. Mi account was created not just to sync your contacts & messages, it's security features is embedded into the hardware therefore flashing a new rom still won't break it. Xiaomi is definitely up there with the big boys |
lofty900:Howdy. Plz am in PH too, where did you find the vibe p1 turbo & how much was stated? |
Manuella4ace:How much was it & was it got in a shop or online? Thanx |
vosquare:That's great. With continued usage it's gonna get more stable & hopefully squeeze more battery juice for you too |
GrandMufti: I no carry am for head o, just don't seem to get why people keep saying that.Happy Sunday |
GrandMufti:What exactly makes the SOC mediocre? Am sure you dunno why American kids online keep saying snapdragon is more superior to Mediatek even when they've not used the two just coz it's a Taiwanese company. FYI Americans the world over promote their products no matter how inferior they're to that of other countries's products because of patriotism. It's purely an American agenda in it's bid for world domination What device are you using let's see how un"mediocre" it performs against mine? |
vosquare:No rooting or bootloader unlocking required to start the procedure. Do read thru the instructions in the links properly in order to avoid mistakes. As a matter of fact I can't remember the last time I rooted my phone, with miui I don't really see the need to especially since you'll lose root whenever you update. |
Harus:There's nothing to prove man, he obviously has a buggy rom installed. That's why I chose to stick with an official rom that gets steady updates & bug fixes via OTA. With the rate at which these miui geeks are all churning out their own roms one can easily get confused PS: I observe that the weekly updates perform differently too. So when I see one that's very stable with good battery backup I don't rush to update. |
vosquare:Yeah I use the MTK version of the note 3. Sorry for the late response. Here's the official China Dev rom am currently using=> http://bigota.d.miui.com/6.9.29/miui_HMNote3_6.9.29_1dbf35c044_5.0.zip Here is the latest version=> http://bigota.d.miui.com/6.10.27/miui_HMNote3_6.10.27_ec55d1a232_5.0.zip Follow this link to flash it via updater app(this only works if you're already on an official rom)=> http://en.miui.com/a-232.html This rom comes with zero bloatware or unnecessary tweaks thus no pressure on your battery & background activity from my observation. Alternatively you can flash via SP Tool Hope you've a PC? Don't forget to copy your entire media files unto your system because SP Flash tool will wipe your phone clean. Since you're having a buggy performance personally I'll prefer this method though it is more rigorous=> http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=294318&highlight=Flash%2BChina%2BDev%2Brom Least I forget if you used SP Tool flashing method then you'll have to install gapps for Google services & play store yourself. Install those via this link then update them to the latest version when done=> http://xiaomitips.com/download/google-installer-app/ After running all these I hope you get a better optimized device like mine. Cheers |
Gptech:I actually use a 32gig version of the note 3. Do you clear cache after updating? I just realised that helps the phone in maintaining its stability. |
Gptech: scotweezy:I smile whenever I see comments such as these. I bet most of you guys having supposed "reservations" are yet to handle the said MTK phones made by Xiaomi. What I do know is Xiaomi devices are well optimized irrespective of SOC. Well my note 3 MTK that's running Chinese Dev rom has hardly got heating, fingerprint, lagging or battery drain issues for the past couple of months, and yes it can handle anything thrown at it ![]() |
KuliMart:If one disables all that's listed up there at once then what's the joy in using a smartphone? ![]() Anybody that's got heating/battery drain issues obviously has a faulty rom flashed. I advice you stick to only official rom releases that's not burdened with too much tinkering. Go to the appropriate section of your device in the miui forum, read other user reviews before flashing. |
What's the guarantee that the line won't be used for fraudulent activities? |
IamGodson:Wow. What if you turned out to be an Iraqi or Haitian? ![]() |
Happy Birthday to my father & mentor, I will forever be proud to be associated with you Sir. |
Segunagagu:The color white makes the device stand out, just like having a metal frame & back. Anyways, happy sale |
ORDUDAVID:Young man, my pocket is far better transformed than you can ever imagine. Forget your stories, how many contributions or information have you made pertaining to the purpose of this forum? You expect people to share sensitive contacts info just like that. Hope you're not trying to take advantage of the situation some folks are experiencing? |
ORDUDAVID:Is that the new format for kidnapping and yahoo yahoo? |
OP stop making jest of yourself by misleading the public ![]() 4G LTE compatibility is a hardware feature and not something you get by installing an app or buying a phone case. If it's not there, then it's not there |
power900:Do you remember some 3 to 4 years ago when ordinarily putting on Wi-Fi & 3G signals on your smartphone will zap all your battery in a matter of minutes? But now it's a whole different story. I doubt you do since you're so skeptical. It's the continued usage of these tech features that has made the OEMs to continually optimise them thus making them better, so my brother plz don't be stagnant. |
martineverest:Since we got only this country what do you expect us to do? Plz let's try to appreciate what we got... |
power900:That's what someone that's not using a 4G LTE compatible phone will say, or do you expect people to under-utilize their smartphones? |
With so much news of 4G LTE flying all over the place, please let those that have tried any of the networks drop info on the network & Xiaomi device model. At least let's be certain the network that favours our mobile brand the most ![]() |
NgcoboP: Yes o, I had to start skipping this thread when some folks almost changed it to a snapdragon vs MTK affair, as if we MTK users borrowed money from them to get our gadgets |
