Family › Re: Is It Right To Name A Child In This Circumstance??? by 2mch(m): 6:36pm On Jul 25, 2012
The ancestor does not have to be dead for the child to bear the name. Bearing a parents name is very common in Nigeria. We call them Junior. It is a way of honoring the person when they are still alive. It means that the parents hold that person in high esteem

Try and get a hobby. Like running, going to the gym, competing in competitions. Trust me, friendship is overrated. A lot of people will come to you when you have something only. But when you have nothing, you will never find them. Very few friends in this dog eat dog world. Keep your mind busy and occupied. There are a lot of things to do and in that process you may meet acquaintances that share your interests.cheers.

If he has a case in the US he should answer to it and resign. Or pay restitution to the aggrieved. He also needs to answer to the allegations, otherwise he lose credibility which was shaky in the first place.
Christianity Etc › Re: Tunde Bakare Summoned Over Sermon by 2mch(m): 8:32pm On Jul 23, 2012
They want to create a matyr not so? This is the work of men of God. To criticize a wholeful failure of a government like this. Not begging for money. Only a blind man will see that 2015 will not come to pass the rate at which we are going. He will also be released promptly and will go back to preaching promptly. Touch a hair on his head, and then PDP will set their demise in motion. Emancipation started from churches afterall.
Politics › Re: Ndigbo Wont Vote For ACN In Lagos by 2mch(m): 8:22pm On Jul 23, 2012
Now wey soup wan sweet. These people dey shout. Dem no dey shout like this for their state o. See how the Orji's with their Awolowo insults were quick to buy or deceive them. Yoruba's dont operate like that. We hold our selves and people accountable. If Lagos was a shite hole na dem go laugh. Una think sey we go dey look? Well the polls will speak for themselves. This threat was made, but PDP got some 10% votes. So we can say Igbo's are like 7% of the population in Lagos. grin grin grin cheesy

NRI PRIEST: Who da fhuck is this ? Which town in Anambra are you from because imma get to the bottom of this. This is a big fat lie! You are not Igbo and certainly not an Anambrarian! There is nothing and I repeat there is no practice like this in Igboland. This is nothing but a slander against the Igbo by a non Igbo who is posing like one.I advice everybody to disregard this rubbish!
LMAO!!! So Igbo's marry the dead. hmmm! tongue

RealBitch: Im from Anambra state, and There's this trend amongst igbos, forcing a Man to marry a dead woman. My mum says its the tradition, particularly if the woman has children for him outside wedlock. Does this tradition make sensehuh I've seen two men goes through it and yet another distant relative is about undergoing same process. He's already looking traumatized and though i dont like him,I feel this is unfair. Is it right to make a man carry out marital rites on a dead woman?
I have heard of this ritual before. And also marrying wives for lonely women lipsrsealed

Politics › Re: Soyinka Backs Patience Jonathan's Appointment As Bayelsa Perm Sec by 2mch(m): 7:22pm On Jul 18, 2012
I Think what he is trying to say is that, afterall the First lady's office is not constitutional. So any presidents wife can have a job and work even while the husband is president. What Soyinka failed to expantiate on is the fact that she got the job after her husband became president. It looks more like a political favour than a job given on merit.Which in and of itself, is highly wrong and puts the president in a very bad light. Even if we were going to argue on merit, madam is not qualified to even be a jelosimi staff.

There should be a death penalty for anyone that imports and aides the import of fake goods into the country. After the first 20 have been killed others will abandon the biz.

Dude, i didnt read your post. I know you have nothing to say so you feel the need to pick on every point. Only people with too much time do that. smiley. I made my point and answered your question fully, if you cant understand, then sorry it is above you. come back when you are older.
Family › Re: My Wife Spent 450k On Baby Shoes by 2mch(m): 10:07pm On Jul 16, 2012
MRbrownJAY: yeah, many rich people are carefull and know how to manage their wealth, while others just blow it on stuff that everyone (included their financial advisors) know they cant afford.

we can clearly understand that what the OP is complaining about has absolutely nothing to do with their financial status, but more about his broke self complaining about his rich wife spending some of her own money in what she deems fit.

what else can you see in your crystal ball?!

let's rephrase that, it is HER money, and she can spend it like she wants to, so long as they are not suffering. the only thing that should be discussed is what they SHARE, the rest is down to each individual.

so are you saying that she shouldnt have bought the clothes because they may run out of fashion?! lol, you are making less and less sense.

we can clearly understand that SHE can afford it, HE cant. lol!
Obviously a young guy looking for attention. lmao. You dont have a point and cant read a whole post whitout responding to each sentence? You dont make any sense either dude. none. You have too much time on your hands. na wa o

ronkebp: If the poster is complaining from not having that money and seeing that the wife is spending too much, he has every right to complain.

- If the poster is just complaining out of being stingy since he was complaining that the wife uses too much meat in the soup, well....that is her cross oooo, she should have known the type of man she married....and i will say it again, the man has the right to question why the woman used 450k to buy only shoes, clothes is not part of it ooo, she might have used another 600k to buy clothes who knows.....

unless she is trying to open up a store. wink wink
My point exactly. Gbam! Common sense is not common. If the guy is complaining, obviously as a couple they cannot afford extravagant things like that. The money can be there, but that doesnt mean such things are a priority or can be afforded. This logic is only for the matured mind

MRbrownJAY: ^^^^ pls do tell us what is "best" to do with N2Milla, sir.
If as a family they could comfortably afford it, the guy will not be here complaining. I am sure he paid for all her medical expenses so what is left is for her to blow away money that has more use to them in Nigeria than on clothes. Yes, it is her money. But as a couple it is THEIR money. Such large expenses should be discussed extensively. It is also obvious the woman blew it on frivolous designer things. Designer things have seasons and you are out of fashion when seasons change. So what is she going to do? Go back and spend another N2m? On a new born? When something is ridiculous, it has no other name. If they could afford it, he will not be here complaining.
Family › Re: My Wife Spent 450k On Baby Shoes by 2mch(m): 7:34pm On Jul 16, 2012
Are people not seeing that she spent up to N2m in total? Men, goodluck. I hope she bought for all your kids and those yet to come. Newborns can't even wear the shoes for any purpose other than decoration. This will be until they are able to walk before any shoe is needed. Goodluck sha. grin

I don't think you were jazzed because you were still having occasional fights and heated arguments. From what I have heard about remote control, you are a total mugu. Only yes and no kind of person. She must have been scammed by the babalawo. Guy you were simply more in love with her than she was with you. Since you have a job and it looks like you have exhausted all options already, just move out and get another place of your own.If its your house just change the keys and ask the gateman not to open for her ever again as soon as she steps out. I totally believe this your story is made up and a trap for the cabals. grin
Family › Re: My Wife Spent 450k On Baby Shoes by 2mch(m): 5:36pm On Jul 16, 2012
You should know who you married. An extravagant person will never change till they run you down. Always running a race with the Jones's, who have more money than both of you can earn in a life time. Better let her sell them and buy rubber shoes for the boy. They grown out of these things fast, spending that much on baby clothes is a big waste.
Culture › Re: Which Nigerian Tribe Owns Ogbono Soup, Okro Soup, Egusi Soup , Vegetable , White by 2mch(m): 5:24pm On Jul 16, 2012
Egusi is Yoruba. It is called Egunsi, Egusi, Elegusi. Ogbono = Apon in Yoruba. Okro= Ila (Okra/Okro is the English name). We also have bitterleaf which grows all over the SW its called Effirin. We own these things. Your soups are Ofe nsala and two others most people have never seen or heard of except on NL. The most popular Igbo food is the goat head peppersoup. Igbo's in Lagos copied and redid our food. No one can cook Egusi or Apon like Yoruba's. That receipe is tha bomb. If a Yoruba woman cooks for you, walahi, you go forget your name. That is why all the buka sellers only sell mostly Yoruba food. Our food is so delicious and highly sought after. grin. Until you have tried Efo elemi meje, you have not survived or lived. tongue

NigeriaKwenu: Very sad indeed.

Afam4eva(i will be unbanned someday)
ROTFLMAO. lipsrsealed

OP,
Take heart. Life is not black and white. Because of your experiences i understand why you think this way. For your sake, it is best you go down on your knees and leave this burden in God's hands. Just leave it and move on. The day you are able to forgive yourself and your father is the day your life will change. When i say forgive, i dont mean forget. Your father sees joy in making you what you have become, and that joy continues when you help him prove that he is right. From dealings with people, dont treat everyone like they have hurt you. Treat people like you will want to be treated and dont carry that baggage from one person to the other. I know these scars take a while so take time to heal. Also with people insulting and attacking you, i think you may be projecting your hurt in ways that you did not know. You may be aggressive and rude.Always ready to attack and fight. The moment you accept that you are ugly is the moment you become ugly inside and out. We project what we feel on the inside. Focus on school and work hard to be everything your father said you could not be. Look at him and decide for yourself what you want in a future spouse. Work hard and face your studies for now. Leave guys alone. You are young, you have at least 10years to find the right person. That shouldnt be your main focus in life right now. No one is ugly or useless. cool
