Idealistically, you've spoken well but realistically, it remains to be seen if men are ever going to shave off that intrinsical nature of men to demote women at the slightest opportunity. But all the same, if a girl has got something really important and worthwhile to say to me, as against making some bland discussions fraught with clichés and myopic reasonings, I'll always be listening with keen interest and rapt attention - to her. |
You killed it! You did! I've been wondering so myself, why the eff is it so hard for so many peeps to be openminded-and free? At the end of the day, Methinks it's just nothing that same fear of the unknown! |
Hmm...you want a writer or you want to NED a writer? Abeg check your title again...ha ha ha! ![]() |
Oh my God! I'm getting so tired of these clichés... |
Succinctly put. Nice and salient points. Weldone OP for reminding us. In addition to what the OP highlighted, I think any undergraduate who is also seriously thinking about his or her future should see this:Questions for Undergraduates. |
Hmm...that's why I like Tonto. The thing fit am wella. The girl can easily morph. In other news, why is the Nairaland heading reading as Nairaland For m? Or is it only on my system? |

DeeChukwu:Eeyaa...oga Dee. I never knew you were serious when you told me you are going to buy it. Thanks for the support. I truly appreciate. For what to do next, just follow this link: https://www.nairaland.com/1871293/ify-romantic-thriller/10#26991821 Download the FBReader app and install it on your system. Then download the book file from Smashwords. Then use the FBReader to open the book file and start reading it. Once again, thanx for your support. I'm so grateful. |
DeeChukwu:That's good. It means your card was accepted. UBA will send you an email or SMS debit alert and the alert will contain the PayPal code that looks like this: PP*XXXXCODE where XXXX are four numbers. You will then log into your PayPal account and use these four numbers to confirm your card. Log into your PayPal account. Click on CONFIRM CARD. Then enter those four numbers where you are asked to enter your PayPal code. Click CONFIRM CARD. That's all. You are now verified and you can now shop online anywhere PayPal is accepted. But... According to Mr. Jide of ogbongeblog in this article: http://www.ogbongeblog.com/2014/07/fund-paypal-in-nigeria-with-access-bank.html, you can still try to make a payment without confirming your card because according to him, he was able to make a payment with PayPal using his Access Bank Visa Card without verifying the card on PayPal so you can try and copy him after all there's no harm in trial, you know...?. ![]() Thanks. |
saintandsinnerz:This article is actually written by a man. I can see the fingerprints everywhere!!! |
Dammit! Just look at her bright, warm, enchanting, welcoming but deceiving smile...smh |
Chibueze291994:Seriously? Do you believe that? I laugh when I hear Catholics say this. I'm like really, what's the difference between honoring and worshipping? C'mon guys... Before anyone starts to indoctrinate me, I'm also a Catholic and I know the catechism inside out but one thing I know I'm not just buying any church dogma or doctrine that doesn't sit well with me. If the truth must be told, the way Virgin Mary is elevated in the church, you will get the idea that she's not just the mother of God; she's more like God the Mother! |
Sirnuel:Exactly! Yes of course! You can use your ATM card to set it up sharp sharp. Click https://www.paypal.com/ng/ to start immediately. Click on SIGN UP or SIGN UP FOR FREE. Then under INDIVIDUAL, click on OPEN AN ACCOUNT. Then start entering your details. For your address, enter the address you used in opening your bank account. For your postal code, you can leave it blank, assuming you don't know it. But you can also do a Google search for your postal code, assuming you are interested in knowing it. Most likely you will find your answer in Wikipedia. For example let’s say I’m currently residing in Sambisa forest, this is what I’ll type in Google: postal code for Sambisa. ![]() When you are through, click on AGREE AND CREATE ACCOUNT. A new page will come for you to enter your credit/debit card details but you will enter it later. Just click on GO TO MY ACCOUNT located at the bottom of the page. A new page will load. Go to the far right of the page and click on CONFIRM EMAIL ADDRESS. This will take you to your email inbox where you will be required to log into your email. When you log into your email, you will see a mail from PayPal. Open it. Inside the mail you will see a link that says LINK YOUR CARD. Click on the link. This will then take you back to PayPal where you are required to log in again. Once you successfully log in to PayPal, your email is confirmed. Next step is to verify your MasterCard or Visa ATM card. Click on LINK AND CONFIRM MY DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD or click on GET VERIFIED link. A new page will load for you to enter your card details. Enter the 16-digit number found in front of your ATM card. For the Security code, turn the back of your card and enter the 3-digit number. For the Expiration Date, enter the expiry date also found in front of your card. You will enter the month and the year. Then click CONTINUE. If your card is accepted, PayPal will charge your card $1.95 which they will still refund after 24 hrs. If your card is not accepted you will see it in the message that will be displayed for you. Assuming your card is accepted, your bank will send you a Debit Alert or email informing about this $1.95 charge on your card. Inside this message you will also see something that looks like PP*XXXXCODE where XXXX represents four numbers that will serve as your PayPal code. You will use these numbers to confirm i.e. verify your card. Note that depending on your bank, this Debit Alert might take some days before it gets to you. When I used my UBA Africard, it came instantly. According to Mr. Jide of ogbongeblog who used Access Bank Visa ATM card, the Debit Alert also came instantly. The essence of confirming your Card is to remove the limit that is placed on any new PayPal account to prevent money laundering. I think this limit is usually about $250 which means you cannot spend more than $250 from your card until you complete the verification process for your card. Now when you are ready to confirm your card and you now have your verification code, then you will log in into your PayPal account and click on CONFIRM CARD. Enter those four numbers where you are required to enter you PayPal code. Then click on CONFIRM CARD. You will then see a congratulatory message informing you that you are now verified!!! That means you can now start shopping on any online shop that accepts PayPal like Smashwords for example. ![]() This whole thing will not take you more than five minutes and you are done!!! |
I'm with you on this. It feels so good to read Nigerian-themed stories. The instant connection is almost guaranteed to be there! |
IHEKESON:Ha ha haaaaaa....Aunty Linda don die!!!!! Chai!!!! |
Fatalveli:Smiling at the bolded. You are talking of stress even though you haven't even tried it. Chai! What is difficult in following the following three steps? 1. Get a PayPal account and verify it. Follow these simple and easy steps explained here: http://oscarmini.com/2014/06/verified-nigerian-paypal-account.html. 2. Go to FBReader, then download and install the FBReader that is suitable for your reading device. I downloaded the ones for Windows & Android because I read eBooks on my laptop and Android phone. 3a. Go to Smashwords, click BUY—then click CHECKOUT—then choose CHECKOUT WITH PayPal—then click PROCEED TO CHECKOUT. The system will now automatically transfer you to your PayPal account to complete the payment. After a successful payment, the system will now automatically transfer you back again to Smashwords and show a link which you can now click on to download the book file (EPUB format recommended). 3b. Now use FBReader to open the book file you downloaded from Smashwords and start reading. As simple as ABC. |
bollify:Hi bollify. That's not a problem. Debit Card, Credit Card, all join, okay? Just enter those 16 digits number. When it comes to CSC, turn the back of your card and enter the 3 digit number you find there. Your Address should match the address you used in opening the bank account and obtaining the card from your bank. If you are confused about your postal code, don't forget you can always do a google search for the postal code of your location. The expiration date can also be found on the front of the card. If you look at my UBA Africard I posted, it will be expiring on 07/15 i.e. July 2015. This link is a concise and straightforward method of opening a PayPal account in Nigeria: http://oscarmini.com/2014/06/verified-nigerian-paypal-account.html. Thank you so much for your effort. |

fabiaknow:Ha ha ha…oh my God! Oh, oga fabiaknow, so because I mentioned hard copy you think that one will not involve PayPal huh? Ha ha ha… Chineke mee! Chai! e be like say Nigerians are still so far behind o! Hey! For your information, the hard copy is only a second option. And it is not even all that viable at all. Which means I might not even do it at all! The hard copy is just strictly for those who will like to keep a copy of the book beside them. But in our world today where so many people are now carrying their tablets, iPads, Kindle, laptops, etc around, the hard copy is just dying or fading away so fast! Right now, I have up to 40 eBooks on my TECNO Android phone and I can start reading each one at any time I choose! Compare that with carrying 40 hard copies about! So you see, that’s why I say hard copy is not a viable option. Not to mention that eBooks are cheaper, they don’t get old, or tear off. You can also and always change the font size, font style, background color, and so many other things… Welcome to the new digitised world of e-reading! In fact, with FBReader installed on your android, you can even check the meaning of difficult words you encounter as you read with your Android dictionary there and then by just clicking on such words! That’s the beauty of eBooks! I will not bore you with the processes involved in this business of producing a hard copy but let me just paint a brief picture of the involvement for you. When you order a hard copy directly from Amazon.com where it is printed in the USA, you will still wait for some period of time, sometimes up to a month or two or even more, before the book will finally reach your doorstep in Nigeria. All thanks to our powerful superfast NIPOST, okay? Yeah! Or you can use DHL to fasten the whole process but then you will be ready to pay for the extra (exhorbitant, of course!) expenses involved for the smooth and quick delivery. Compare all that with you simply logging into the internet and with just a few clicks of your button, you have downloaded the eBook format and you are already reading the material… Oh la la… Today I’m the one who is selling my novel online. Tomorrow it might be you! So think business, okay? Think of the fastest and best ways to get your products or services into the hands of your customers without exposing or putting them through a lot of hassles, long delays and painful waiting period or making them to spend so much money, okay? Fine. Having a PayPal account is not even all about buying novels or textbooks online. You can pay for your online tuition fee. You can buy genuine antivirus software. You can easily pay for your website domain names. You can easily send money to your friends abroad to help you buy certain high quality things once they are using PayPal, etc. And of course, not forgetting that you can also use it to receive money too! Think of so many other things you can easily start buying online without needing to exchange your naira into dollars and losing some money in the process to the bureau de change guys or even losing some money to your bank when you do international wire transfer! So you see, upgrading into PayPal is not a bad choice at all! PayPal makes online shopping so simple. And it is very secure. And it is the best online payment processor in the world today! Oh yes. That’s why we are so happy that they have finally started accepting Nigerians! If we must move this country forward, then we will start thinking forward and embracing rather than shying away from technology. Internet is not all about using Facebook or Instagram or YouTube or sending emails or downloading movies. It can also be used for business. I mean serious LEGITIMATE business! We should not like or be so comfortable with the idea of still being or lagging so so so fuc.k.ing behind… Because it’s not encouraging at all. That’s just the truth about the whole thing. I know that PayPal is in partnership with First Bank but that does not mean that you cannot try to link your PayPal account with any other banks’ ATM card. I used UBA Africard. Some other people have used GTBank’s ATM Naira MasterCard. Some others have used Payoneer MasterCard. The guy in the tutorial I previously gave mentioned Access Bank ATM Visa card. So don’t just limit yourself, okay? I’m not doing any marketing for UBA but the UBA Africard is really superb! It is easily accepted by many online shops. I used it to link (i.e. verify) my PayPal account and it was done one-time! https://i59.tinypic.com/ann0bp.jpg I think with just N750 you can just walk into any UBA Branch and get your own instantly but it will not be personalized i.e. it will not bear your name. You can get a personalized one with your name on it but it will take like two weeks or so. Customer care will give you the instructions on how to use the card. You can get more information about this card here: www.nairaland.com/793026/experiences-uba-naira-visa-africard. Now with my personalized UBA Africard linked to my PayPal account, anytime I want to buy something online with PayPal, I will first of all walk into a UBA Branch closest to me and pay the amount in Naira into my UBA Africard account so that PayPal can now access the fund. Simple. But all the same, I’ve heard what you said. And since I don’t want to call you an enemy of progress, I will do what you said. I will be uploading shortly….THE SIMPLE STEPS OF OPENING a PayPal ACCOUNT TODAY! Ha ha haaaaa…. ![]() |
MEILYN:Me too |
Hmm...buh wait o lemme jus ask o, seriously, why is it harder for women to learn driving? ![]() |
Olanipekuntomi:Now, this is a very tough one. Olanipekuntomi has a small nokia phone and Olanipekuntomi has no system but Olanipekuntomi really wants to know what happened to Ify and Vince… ![]() Chai! Please dear God, give us a solution on this one. Okay…okay…okay…yes, yes, I’ll tell him…yes, I’ll let him know… Alright. Dear Ola, are you still there? Are you listening? Good. Okay listen. It mustn’t be your own system or phone, okay? You can always read it on a friend’s system—that is, if you so wish! But on the other hand, Ola, you can wait for the book to come out in print (hard copy) before you can get it. But the problem is that by then, I’m so sure, the price will not be $2.99 again! Oh yes. The eBook format is the reason why books can be priced so low today because there are absolutely no costs in printing and distributing them hence it is so beneficial for both authors and readers! That’s one reason why eBook is the in-thing now! Besides, it’s cheap. It’s light. It doesn’t occupy space. That’s why most people prefer it! Don’t be surprised to find out that a book that is lowly priced at $2.99 in the eBook format might cost as much as $15 to $20 or more in the print version! Now tell me, will Ola (who has a small Nokia phone and no system ) still be able to spend as much as N4000 just to buy a single novel?Chai! So Oga Ola think about it, and do the needful! Ha ha ha…Nigerians, chai! Next excuse, please... |
jayyungg:Correct man!!! |
