Great great write ups bro. Wa o, u have come along way and my assumptions are not in doubt. Deep inside me i know u are a product of success digest, i never knew u passed thru akinalabi Tutoring as i was a though affiliate marketing and clickbank account opening those days. Even i joined namepros same time but was not interested in domain business until recently. Lost lots of concentration due to many factors beyond my control and lots of work loads. Even way back 2005 i joined nairaland first time, and cant do without success digest packages.
You are truly a hero and a veteran.. Twale... Thanks for sharing.... Patience and concentration with prayers is the key.... At last it will pay off.
Yes o baba. Thanks. Many people who benefit from one internet marketing structure or the other have no idea that foundation was set by owner of Success Digest lol... That man a product of what we all enjoy today in terms of making money online.

QueenRebecca:
Thanks for sharing 2sexycom, these sales are huge in my perspective, God this is an eye opener. Oppurtunity to learn for me. Those two domain names caught my eyes. I have few question to ask sir, thus

What is the mistakes that surround the two domain names?? Is it the pricing or what??
Yes, the price. WearablePro for instance was mistakenly sold because I had forgotten I had it set at BIN. so while I WAS asking question about it on namepros, someone went to sedo and hit the BIN. He sold it for $3xxx later. The names were worth figures. I had a couple of such mistakes after that.. When I look back. But I have been trying to make up for those mistakes with my present projects and God has been good.

Another question I would like to ask you is that, do you use the common google map approach to reach out to the end users??
Google Map? This is new to me with respect to domaining. How do you mean please?

Probably, you are talking about cloudVERTISE/king here, right?
No it is not Cloudvertise . cloudvertise was a newbie gaffe grin

Have you use 2CheckOut (2co) to receive payment before?? If Yes, does work in the same way as Flutterwave??
2 checkout only processes credit card on merchant's sites. Flutterwave has multiple services... For receiving international payment, they serve as support in Nigeria while transferwise, xoom etc serve as support in the countries where the money is coming from. You do not need an account with either of them to make use of this. Just send your buyer your name, phone number, address, postal code and tell him//her to select naira as the currency you would be paid in. There would be complications if they select dollars because selective options in dollar and naira interface are different. For instance, if your buyer select dollar, they will ask them for Social Security Number and you know these guys are fear a lot to release such information, at least that is what the last lady told me lol

Flutterwave also offer virtual credit card. Now that I think about it, I will advice those who buy $1 domains risky registrars like Network solution to ONLY use virtual credit card when buying those kind of names. That is what I used for my network solution $1 purchases and Flutterwave made that happen.

Please, don't be annoy if my questions sound moronic. Thanks in advance.
no, nothing annoying... I switch account on nairaland and that is why you didn't get a reply on time. So if anyone quote me and does not get a reply, it means I have morphed into a different handle grin grin grin I have a lot of them here and sometimes view this thread with my alternate handle... but I would prefer to maintain 2sexy on here cos the other one na fight i dey use dem for grin grin grin

@2sexycom what year did u start your domain journey and how many months of no sale before u start making sales that year if you can remember.
I developed interest when I was still in secondary school after reading Success Digest and stumbled on article that talked about it and quoted the legendary Bill Gates' quote... Who knows that quote? grin

But like QueenRebecca reported earlier, there were no real domainer at that time in Nigeria, just resharshed information from watery information marketers.

Akin Alabi had a forum where I used to visit and that was where I met OJ Samson. He was selling lots of domains back then but later transitioned into website flipping.

If you check my Namepros handle, you will see 2009, which was same year I registered my first domain name MusicPLC.com through Henry Omenogor (Success Digest readers should know him) because I didn't have credit card and he and others offered Do4Me service.

The day I created that account at namepros was the last day I ever visited there until Gene Pimentel (in 2013) of Warrior Forum talked about Namepros and how he learned and also sold domain names.

So, I went back to Namepros that same day Gene mentioned it. On getting there, I looked at the interface and discovered I had been there before, more like Dejavu feelings. I was arguing within myself that day. So I put in my username for international forum use and my password... viola, It let me in. smiley

I know you asked just year, but I had to take you through the journey... as it is my trait to chase some things for years.. I have interest in export and I started researching 2 years ago but I have not done anything yet... That is me. I know I will still venture into it.

All it takes is for me to see the BIG Picture and I will chase it for as long as I live and I always, ALWAYS achieve it, no matter what anyone thinks. Even now, I am chasing 3 things offline, which is one of the reasons I have been less active here and my friend called me last night to tell me my idea (one of the 3 things) has been approved by his boss after 3 hours meeting. Hopefully before the year runs out, we will cash that one HOT.

By His Grace, 2020 is going be our best year.

@2sexycom I just created an account now with Flutterwave. Can I use them effectively to collect payment from domain buyers?

Can you share your experience using Flutterwave pls?

Congrats on your sales. That's massive.
You do not need an account with either flutterwave or transferwise to receive money from US and other countries.

Don't you think receiving money in your domiciliary account is better? You can withdraw, sell in black market and lodge it back in bank? Please, I want to hear from you on this i.e. why you stopped dom. account and start receiving money straight to your Naira account.
the exchange rate is not much difference between the two. I prefer the method I use because it is automated. May be I am just too lazy to go withraw and still take it to aboki for conversion lol.. but i have done the math and the difference is not much... so it is admissible.

I was going to ask whether you have experienced in SEO, on page and offpage SEO I mean.

As usual, aside FFK and some few, hardly will you see a typical politician from the WEST hitting straight forward .

Just look at how he ended up saying nothing, busy beating around without condemning and supporting what should be condemned and supported.

To the gullible ones thinking Tinubu cares for them, do well to have it in mind that he'll choose the North over you lots just to get presidential ticket.
I stopped reading when I saw how he is handling the issue. This man, like Akintola of Muric, has a 2023 agenda but he will fail.

this is the problem with geo domains. If you can develop the domain name into a website and rank it, you can command more money on it.

which marketplace was mostly used?
do you use payoneer or wire transfer?
Some I do without using any marketplace and it that case, I use wire transfers. But the last few sales has been via Transferwise , Xoom and Western Union with all incoming funds going straight to my GTB Naira account. This is made possible because Flutterwave has partnership with these companies and thanks to technology, though I previously used my domiciliary account.

No matter how you look at it, you will need support of higher powers to get anything you want in Nigeria by playing politics.

Business › Re: My Domain Flipping Experience... Revealed by 2sexycom(op): 12:01pm On Jan 21, 2020
webizone:
Don't misunderstand me, guy. Both require work. Both for my own, when you have stopped working, it's still working, generating money for you. In this game, you are only working for improvement. But for domain flipping, you are still working at setup all the time.
lol.. your ideology about domain is weak bro. You can make money from any sector, including selling garri. What matter if your perception...

There are people who do not even engage in domain outbound and still do as much as 10-20k USD per month in sales and domain is capital intensive to get to that level where you control as much as 1000-5000 domains.

And there is nothing like passive income. It does not exist! work work work work till you die.. if there was, billionaires in US dollars would have stopped working but they know this. You can only reduce the amount of work you do through leverages because sustaining wealth is harder than making money, but you do not stop working.

Yes, developing domains into websites enhances its value but thinking you will stop working after setting up the website is just a pipe dream. The owner of NaijaLoaded for instance does crazy numbers but he works hard every year to command those figures, EVEN yesterday, he mentioned he pays as much as 1.5M monthly to staff, he pays 2M monthly for server and some other miscellaneous.

Anyway, to each his own. I just wanted to correct the notion that domain does not pay again because that is what drew me, even when you can see the other domain thread getting sales. There are guys who doe even $2k per month in that thread. Are you aware that a lot of domains go unreported? I also have not even shared my domain sales for over 2 years now. Teaching and doing all these information marketing stuff is not really my thing, which is why this thread hasn't gotten much action.

I prefer being out there making the money than doing tutorials plus I have 3 businesses or start up right now that I am overseeing. One in education, one in power and the other in ecom.. The one in power took me over a year off domaining because of the challenges. You think you are an entrepreneur? Build one from scratch, you think you are brave, test your might offline. I love challenges and the past few years has made me respect all those Nigerians who built their businesses offline without depending on internet but by pure unadulterated grit and zeal.. plus i do not want to sacrifice my eyes from light rays from PC (this one of the reason I started adjusting)

The affiliate marketing you are talking about comes with its own bottleneck. Google can change algorithm and your site will stop ranking. My friend whose business model is dependent on flipping affiliate sites can share his woes and sorrows with you. Driving paid traffic to affiliate offers is capital intensive. Some affiliate offers do not allow incentives or paid traffic and so on. You probably thought I do not know these things, didn't you?

Have a nice bro.
