QueenRebecca: You really nailed it bro, I would do the same bro. After read the whole thread last year, I managed to attend one seminar on domain name business like that offline, I was pissed with some of the mediocre info delivered by the expert there. I threw some of the questions I stumbled on this thread to the facilitator, the guru went off the balance. The thread contains priceless info only if the new comers know. Your determination will pay off... |

webizone: The reason why I said you rather do web development and marketing rather than domain flipping: Would you rather have a Facebook.com to sell or a bunch of unknown domains? Do you know that you can sell (if at all) a thousand domains and you couldn't earn a million dollars, but if Mark sells Facebook today, he wouldn't get less than 10 billion dollars?
Why do you think that is? I will tell you. He created value. Quite alright some domain flippers may say that they can create value by 'convincing' a prospective buyer, usually a business, to see the value in their domain names. Good luck with that. I am sure that Mark wouldn't even have to convince any Tom, Dick and Harry about the value of his own.
Besides, you get to create a business out of thin air if you can code, and your domain runs on autopilot, making money for you. Infact, the affiliate marketing aspect means that you get access to businesses of many companies around the world at any time or place. Imagine, you just woke up, and haven't brushed your teeth talk more of going out. You decided to log into your account and sitting right there is the money you made last night.
How sweet is that? Yes, the money will just land in your account like magic without any work... quite impressive isn't it? |

Regards I do not use this handle so often. Amazon KDP is great. You can make money from anything. What matter most is the fundamentals or basics, determination and understanding. Once you understand that, you will be able to command results at will. I am only on break because I handle about 3 start ups offline. One of them took me 1 year off nairaland. Despite the bros above claiming domains does not pay again, some persons have been doing as much as $2000 per month but it is HARD WORK... and competition is higher than ever before, however people are still making money from it |

ngadaAwo: now I understand why some impotent dingbats are scared of SE supporting Amotekun
reason is that they want it to fail so that fulani herdsmen will continue thriving because buhari whom they support is Fulani
omoluabis please be mindful of those that supports you but their mind is against you
be mindful of those that support you but can't support similar security outfits in their middle belt region because they target fulani herdsmen which they supports against their people. yes they're on nairaland forming fake love for SW but sitting on the fence on critical issues like this because murderous fulani herdsmen might be affected and they support them because buhari their God is fulani.
One of them is one shameless impotent Benue man gallivanting around nairaland pretending to love omoluabis but in his heart he hates them. i have never seen the same impotent bastard dingbat support this Amotekun of a thing rather all you'll see him doing is to criticize the igbos that supports the move
Well real omoluabis knew that igbos where never their problem, yes we may troll each other but never shed each other's blood but such can't be said for others. Let me call his name for you OMENKA OMENKA OMENKA... Na thunder go strike you. |

Each Regional ethnic groups drumming support of Amotekun are doing so because the establishment is in line with their stand on True Federalism.
The South-South and the North Central are also in support showing that this is not Yoruba Vs Igbos affairs.
Enugu State constituted Forest Guards and Benue State had Anti-Open grazing Marshall.
The main thing here is that the Federalism in Nigeria is been tested and challenged. Both of you have a point if you look at things critically... |

richkal: This is what I really mean when I said lots of money is being left on the table by most people, some months ago.
I was think that after sell the name to the end user, I would pitch local SEO to the buyer on the domain name, to REALLY help them to get more organic traffic to their website. And this leads to WIN - WIN for both parties. Yes of course... |
Business › Re: What To Do To Make Money Online? by 2sexycom(m): 4:20pm On Jan 14, 2020 |
IdeasPro: Yes, I totally agree with you on this. A lot of domain flippers on this thread are leaving money on the table. Domain flipping is for peanuts. Domain name investing is where the money is. Imagine a domain name you can easily sell for $2,000 and above, you are begging someone to buy it from you for $200? Creating and delivering value is what it takes to maximize profits in business, be it online or offline.
My 2 kobo! If any of these guys can learn SEO properly and how to rank sites, it will help them in flipping sites to end users instead of just domain. What I mean is that, for most of these geo domain names, how about you try to rang them for their local SEO and sell them to end users in those niches? |

QueenRebecca: In my own opinion, There are set of people in this business who need Grace/Luck to make sales in this business, these are people who are yet to make sales and those who have lesser (<200) amount of Domain names in their portfolio (including me) . The reason is because that have GREATER ODDS (i am not talking about Betting Odds here) against them due to some many factors they dont have control over.
A person like 2sexycom (who have over 38,000* Domain names ) OJ Samson ( who have over 2,000 goe names), RohitGoyah ( who have over 8000 goe names), Faderer ( has over 25,000 domain Names) etc don't need to depend on Grace/Luck to make sales on consistent basis. The reason is because they understand the rudiment of this business.
Those people I mentioned above, and people like them, understand that majority of your domain names with not sell, no matter how fancy the domain name may looks or sound. They know from experience that the CHANCES OF MAKING A SALE is 5% against all odds (in fact, I am very generous here, most time it takes less). This means for every 100 domain names they registered, they have it at the back of their minds that about 5 or less domain names will actually sell. So in order to increase their chance, they simply register more domain names.
That is the why some veterans on here advice newbies who are yet to make sales to registered more domain names in order to make sales, this can be counterintuitive, however it is true. But registering lots of domain names can hurt an average Naija hustler's pocket, due to exchange rate. No Newbie have the financial mussles to register up to 100 domain Names for trial before making a sale. ( That is why I doff hat for the guy who has registered 72 domain names before making first sales.)
Therefore, in order to enjoy the lucrative and maximum ROI domain name business has to offer, some people can't help but to hope on their faith to make that consistence sales against the greater odds, though they might have registered some domain names in the first place.
Lastly, we all have different timing in this business, some will start making sales within few days or months to this business. While it will takes some years for some people, it all about time. I think those who will have great affinity fod this GRACE concept are those who have spent some years in this business and yet to make sale. All in all, let's all keep to the strategies that work for them.
P.s: this simple thesis I stated up there are result of the contents I read on Namepros and my marketing experience.
P.s.s: remember those thing I mentioned are my opinion, critism are welcome. Well, yeah. But I do not own such amount of domain ooo... I have reduced my domain activities so much to give room for another learning trajectory and that is why I have not been reporting domain sales. The lack of sale by most people on here is probably due to lack of concentration to master the basic rudiments, partly due to heavy responsibilities. But I would suggest those set, I would say go and copy what others are selling and look out for similar domains on drop during your search at Expired Domains. It will help you, especially in the geo domain territory. someone sold MiamiRoofing.com? Search for AtlantaRoofing.com next time. You get the drift. This is why going through past sales are very important. However, it seems like finding these kind of geo domains is becoming extremely rare due to HUGE competition among participants in the search bin. It is just as if they are backordered so fast before they drop and this has even led me to respect those guys on here who still find geo domains to register. Una dey try. once a while, when i search, I barely see anything worthy to register on the drop and so, I often just give up the search. Also, I noticed that the drop list reducing. Previously, freshly dropped domains at expired domains could stretch up 3 pages but recently, it barely fill up the first page... Competition, Competition, Competition... This is where I decided to be creative in my search... sometimes I just decide to do wildcatting (if you know what I mean) to pull some sales when I feel like due to the competition. |

AYORICH: I must say God's grace exist ... let me use my self as a case study . I Neva believe in doing 10% as I use to say .. but on a faithful day after service n extensive hearing of dropping tithes .. I say let me test it ... Get a envelop n write tithe with no sales for a long time .. BOOM that week sale happen ... Since then every month is on a smooth ride ... so we should pray for God grace to select the right name ....every man to his beliefs , do what works for you Skill+grace Yes but when you want to do it, don't make it seem like you didn't do anything aside prayinh or pay tithe. You are downplaying the principle of hard work if you do. If you didn't have those names in the first place and u go pay that tithe, nothing for you. So when we wanna talk, let it go hand in hand. Even the Bible tells you God will bless the work of your hand and faith without work is dead. There is a way you go about this religiosity that must not be found in lazy minds because if it does, you end up destroying their life even more. There is something that happened to me at the end of 2019 that still shocks me till now... I will keep that end till the time comes but one thing is obvious, If I had not made move, the prayer I did 2 days prior to that happening would have been useless. For it to really manifest, I had to MAKE MOVE! THAT IS THE POINT. China is even bombing churches but they have the fastest rate of millionaires in the world, ahead of US. At the end of the day, it boils down to universal basic principles set by God, whether you believe in God or not, whether you are Christian or not, follow the rules and it will work for you. I heard someone said even if you have the best domains in the world, if God says it won't sell, it won't sell and I tell that brother that is a big fat lie. Having the best domains in the world clearly shows you already followed the rules of nature that I opines above. Rule is the rule. GOD Blesses you when you follow his set rules, whether you believe he exist or not, the rules are the rules. Some people like to restrict the rules of given to just Christianity lol... But like I said, the rule is universal. That is why when you give so much value, it comes back in multiple folds and this is evident in the wealth of world billionaires and millionaires who are the richest on Forbes. They gave something, and the reward is the money in their bank accounts. |

mobiss: But they sometimes use "luck." there is luck, there is grace but none of this will ever happen without action from your end, which the is hallmark of hardwork... I believe the Universe has rules set by God and only those who obey it will eat from the fruit, it doesn't matter if you are a Christian or not. I guess that is why China is ahead of Nigeria despite being largely an atheist nation... Because they Obey the rules of nature. |

beckplanet: Bro the God factor is Very important factor in Domaining let that sink.
There were times i did so much work and didn't get the desired result because somehow i was relying on my knowledge and strength and kinda disconnected from God. But it was surprising to Me that immediately i came back believing and reposed confidence in God sales happened even so unexpected sales. Some might not believe this but it's true.
God factor is Key it is called God's Grace.
And mind you when people make a sale and mention God's grace, you the reader might not understand the context through which they're speaking from.
Some might believe in other things tho, But i rely on God to help me because it is not always about strength, work, and how much you know.
Peace Its only among Nigerians I see this religious lacing to domain sales and it has been shipped to namepros as well. In all my years of using namepros, I didn't see anyone do that until we Nigerians started it there. Says a lot about how we view things. Rick Schwartz and other top dogs in the industry don't do that, it does not mean they may not believe in God or that we know God more than them. For what it is worth, success will locate you when good foundation is laid. |

KingEzo: Hello Nairalander,
please I need your advice. I am 31 years and my fiancee is 29 years and we have been dating for the past four years.
She discovered that she's pregnant on new year's eve. We discussed the issue throughout the new year and we agreed to keep the pregnancy that she's going to write her nursing Council exam later. I told her that she should give me some time so that I can go and discuss with my parents and organize introduction then do the engagement in a little way but she said her mom won't be happy with her that she needs to do big wedding because she's the first child of her mom.
She later told me that she's going to inform her parents before taking any step. To my surprise she called me this evening that she is going to terminate the pregnancy because her family has been raining insults on her since she got home.
She said her grandma is even coming to the city with her so that she can terminate the baby. But I told her that I didn't support it that I can't terminate pregnancy, I told her that she can write the council exam after delivery but she insisted.
Sir-Ma should I support this their action? Your girl has someone else that has been arranged for her. You are dating an Igbo, aren't you? |
