AllMavericks: Yeah, you are right, I attended Darlington's seminar in November 2011, with a wholefull 22k as training fee, i came all the way from Kwara for the training. Happy to realise that you can relate to some of the points i raised in my comment, it's has really been a long journey of learning in the internet marketing world. Kudos to the ojengbasi team, they had serves as an eye opener to lots of Nigerian "netprenure" at the early days of few internet marking info in the land. However, I have to really commend you for the great work you are doing in this thread, to ensure nothing but the truth about how the online business environment runs, without misleading others with unrealistic expectations. Keep up the good work, your rewards to this will be great. I will definately DM you later, for some inter-personal discussions. Thanks in advance ! Na una dey make all these guys rich lol. I have never attended any internet marketing seminar. Everything I know about internet business is self taught... From building websites, ecom, email marketing, sales letter writing, importation. Social media marketing, list building etc.. |

AllMavericks: yeah, your mentioning of success digit brought lots of memories to me about how vast I read success digest. Up till success digit extra. I was able to get my first website done for me in 2010 via one success digest adverts back then it was a joomla site. I paid 10k to the advertiser, what forfeit the whole thing was that the person failed to provide the web contents as promised in his advert. And about the domain knowledge in Nigeria back then, it was only one person that was really into it, & do advertise training in elephant house Ikeja. His name was Darlington omhe. I hope Mr 2sexy could possibly know him as well. I attended his domain training then, but what forfeit the whole domain process then was that his own domain biz was mostly focused on domain parking NOT all this current flipping being discussed here at the moment. And the leader of domain parking then called "parked dot com" was off the business scene, that was what forfeited the whole stuff for me back then. All other parking companies such as sedo, parkingcrew, voodoo etc are not profitable. However, by coming across this domain thread on the first day of this year, and seeing that the focus is on flipping NOT parking then I begin to follow the discussion. I am hopping to triumph this time around with the many great info on this thread, & still hoping to take direct training from Mr iyke as well. With this little I have said here, all newbie internet marketers need to know that's it's NOT an easy route, but the end will certainly be rewarding. Thanks to you Mr 2sexy, for the success digest memories, it's a motivation for me NOT to give up!! Darlington? I know him na... He started during 2010 and he used to advertise on Complete Sports as well USING first Bank boss picture lol but I first stumbled on domain article around 2008. If you go to IsaacTolus thread and read first 20 pages, you will see where I challenged him when he almost hijacked the thread so that he can sell information. In there he claimed to have declined $75,000 for Nametion.com. I knew he was lying and laughed. That domain dropped few years ago lol |

philip0906: The problem with your submission is that it is the same government, who gave them permits/permissions to buy lands & build houses there. No one builds houses or erects structures in Nigeria, without getting approval from authorities.
So what you have is basically a case of government eating their cake and having it...Policy summersaults as a result of incompetence & no clear and followed through roadmap I disagree. They may have been misled to buy the land without due diligence... There hundreds of such case of purchased lands with committed acquisition on it. A friend told me how he mistakenly bought one of such lands in Lagos and his 30m disappeared.. |

IdeasPro: Hmmmmm! LOL! When an old man sees a good kola nut, he will know and definitely smile at it!
We are on the same level really. I started in 2007, when I bought an ebook online for $47 called "How I Sell My Domains" by Edwin John and a physical book by Robert G. Allen called "Multiple Streams of Internet Income." I attended Success Digest seminars on several occasions and became a friend to some of their staff then.
With well paid job then, I had small fortune to invest in whatever I deem okay. And good enough, I am a utility player when it comes to business. Some people mistake me for an Igbo man but I am not. As a voracious reader, I do a lot of research and that was how I ventured into every legitimate online business opportunities and they all worked including domain name investing.
Unfortunately, the devil struck me with sickness. I would have died if not for God and money was there to run errands for me. That certainly slowed me down. But the game continues. Technologies are just unfolding. There is no better time than now to start an online business.
When I see young guys here saying they don't have a laptop or PC and they want to earn money online, I shudder. Invest in your business education. Sell your Plasma TV and other things that can give you money to buy a good laptop. Let your friends mock you but within you, you know success lies in the womb of time.
Learn and work online with focus for 6 months and see if you cannot replace all those conveniences back.
I am writing a book slowly that shows you what it takes to make sacrifice and get results. The soil says, "give me your SEED and not your NEED and I will MULTIPLY you." Talking about sacrifices, that is one thing I do. I have learned to keep money aside in case opportunities shows up (This is how many guys blew up). It could get so bad that I deny myself a lot of things just make sure I achieve my goals. Sorry about the sickness... i have a similar problem as well but I have learned to look past it as part of life. It broke me from 2016-2017 and I had to stay indoors when it relapses. I have been pumping meds and if not for some management, I would probably have spent more 1M by now cos I discovered the first doctor was toying with me. I do hope to get some trado herb that could help me soon according to a friend. It is life... but I know this year will be the best of years... |

IdeasPro: SEO is a long story because it has two parts i.e. on-page SEO and off-page SEO. But writing SEO articles using the suggested keywords at the foot of the Google search page is okay. But these keywords are called long tail keyword phrases and bring in targeted but little traffic. You target such keywords by writing volume of SEO articles for variety of keywords.
There are several ways to uncover profitable keyword phrases like using forums, online communities, etc. You know the essence of SEO is to make your article be on page one of major search engines like Google and Bing especially in position 1-3. I know most of the terminologies and yes, I know it is long tail keywords as you mentioned. I just want to know if using them and also tagging is a good seo practice. |

Humbly, YES. how effective are suggested google keyword searches for seo if you use them to write your articles and tag the same keyword on your website For instance, I have niche in Nigeria and I see suggested keyword at the bottom of Google page when you do searches. I took these searches and decided to write articles around them and before I hit publish, I use same keyword as tag... I am wondering if this will aid my ranking for the said keyword.. or how do you write seo articles on your website to make sure they rank for a keyword? |

And given the direct access to energy in the state, it's a mouth watering scenario.
If they play their game right, it would become the top draw for industries and consequently people in Nigeria. Rivers State can compete with Lagos for real. When Ibaka seaport is completed, damn!.... Where is Blue3k, how far with the Ibaka seaport bro? |

are you saying that blog can also buy it? because most of the results are from blogs not companies. I said WearablePro was a BIN. I didn't do outbound. Wearable is actually tech nich and big tech company are investing in it. |

Adflex1: Good News, Seems like they are incurring demurage and can’t bear the waiting time anymore. Other Bigger Firms should join and utilize free ports that they can berth to ease operation and Quick turn around time.
Maritime industry shouldn’t be Politically twisted for regional or personal gain. I have been wondering this as well. Last time, I learned about a country abandoning Nigeria because of the nuisance that goes on in Nigerian port for exported commodities. I read about foodstuff being damaged because they could not leave the Port on time. It is sad. |

onwubiko: congratulations and more sales , please i want to ask you some questions.. how do get end users for Non-Geo domain? most especially keywords or dictionary words..... Words like:-- Wearablepro brayandcompany truechia gradi GainYourEdge siemispro e.t.c bro, na just research... i research before buying such names. if it is geo, i can register it without doing research because i know there is a buyer out there, no matter what. but for the type you ask, i have to do research FIRST before I buy anyone... GainYourEdge is the weirdest off all cos I didn't see any info on google lol but there is a way my mind works that has often helped and that is, I think up all possibilities of where my prospects might be, I do not discard ideas or trial, no matter how silly they seem, permutate and combinate all possibilities. This same attitude helped me uncover a company in Lagos that some men had been secretly doing business with. They didn't have an office lol and when we finally got in, the men asked us how did we get in? They were forced to ask for our age because that kind of business is only done by MEN.. as in MEN who control the sector. They said in quote "una get mind", The sector is lucrative but unknown to a lot of folks. It was during that time IykePromotions asked why I have been silent and this was 2018. So yeah, we have to developed deep research skills WearablePro was a BIN. |

[b] Cargo freight from Europe to Lagos ports is higher than from Europe to the Eastern ports, but despite that, Lagos became the official port under the policy of cargo destination since Obasanjo government. The pressure on Lagos ports also led to the explosion and failure of support infrastructure. The limit of unfair policy regime and unfair market control is what we are experiencing now.”
