This question has been dealth with hundred of years before christ himself was born. It is one of those catch 22 situation christians and other religious fanatics find themselves around the world. The difference with Nigerians is that we choose to skate around the issue instead of being sincere that this touches on the fundamentals of faith. How do you believe in a diety that is gazing at you while innocent children are dying of hunger, cancer, raped, enslaved etc? How many of you will allow your child to suffer amputation, blindness, deaf and dumb, criple, polio etc, just to test his/her faith? Why is Africa and the black person the face of poverty all of over the world? Your God wants to test our faith you believe? consider this Epicurean question “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?” Epicurus – Greek philosopher, BC 341-270 I am agnostic. We believe that if there is God, we don't know and will never know because there is no way of proving it. All reliogions are man made to dominate others. |
emmalexabl: ..92% of nigerians opposed it.,that shows we still get conscience. My instict is always to accept whatever majority of Nigerians oppose and reject whatever they accept. You don't need a rocket scientist to prove to you that Nigeria doesn't move with the rest of the civilized world. I am sure the rest of the civilized world laughed at our delegation for their infantile arguement for declaring war on gays while the whole country is in darkness because of lack of electricity which Ghana have been enjoying non stop for the past 12 years. It is through issues like these that one begins to realise the level of rot in our educational system and the damage it has wrought. This country called Nigeria is inhabited by the lowest form of human life, you see it by the level of greed and corruption accross the nation. I bet you, it is only in Nigeria and few medeaval countries like Agfanistan, Pakistan, Yemen etc, that 92% of the population will be against homosexual reletionship. |
That's just how our gene is programmed. Man isn't made to stay with one woman, it is against our nature. Monogamy is a restriction on men's sexual drive which determines our persona. Look at our cousins in the animal kingdom, 99.9% of other animals share their brood and don't burden themselves with one partner. Monogamy is one of those sef-denial instead of self-affirmation introduced by white men and christianity. Man is simply polygamous in nature. |
We're are now in real trouble. With this award, she's gonna go out of control....God save us from her grammar. |
nairaman66: The only good news to come out of Nigeria in years!! Anyways, congratulations!!CNN has no credibility to award anything worth more than the paper it's writen on. |
They should be purnished harshly for beaking the law. |
They should be purnished severely for breaking the law. te author=Acidosis]Well, government should give the church a worthy compensation. ...and I hope the anti-Nigerian church will not rejoice over the demolition of Meanwhile, the largest pentecostal congregation in the world is in KOREA (Full Gospel Church, Seoul, South Korea). Directly opposite the Senate Assembly of South Korea. Thats a good enlighment to the intellectually lazy individuals who always blame their backwardness and negligence on the fact that Churches are everywhere in Nigeria. What a lousy analysis for low-lifers who aren't ready to work out any positive [/quote] |
What's your imigration status? Why can't you learn the language? Ola one: Tell them, abeg |
A lot of inacuracies on this post. Avarage summer tempreture in Netherlands is much more than ten degrees. Netherlands has no French or German population. It looks like you're mixing up Belguim with Netherlands which has three official languages; netherlands, french and german because of the ethnic make up of the population. Did you drew this list by yourself or are you're qouting some studies? I wouldn't put U.S.A anywhere near top ten. The level of poverty in that country is a lot compared to some highly indebted countries of europe. For those that would like to study abroad, if your parents is not the money-bag, your best bet for affordable education is continental europe. I studied at both Groningan University and K.U. Leuven in Holland and Belgium respectively without one naira support from home. I paid my way with student job which was everywhere in the early 2000s. I have helped a lot of people get admision in those countries, am also a citizen, though I live in england at the moment. |
I was a vegetarian for over two years, mostly because my girlfriend then was a vegetarian. You have to understand there are two types, THE VEGENS, which is mostly ideological and don't eat anything from animal including milk, butter, cheese and egg or use any product with animal imput. There're the modrates who consume egg, milk and even fish. I think it's difficult and expensive for anybody in Nigeria, because of the high cost of the meat substitues. |
I'm 100% behind you. Those criminal churches you listed there are part of the evils holding the country back. Candour: That is the reality of today's churches. They deny that suffering is a part of life so why should they be associated with death, the ultimate leveller? |
I think we Nigerians are in some way responsible for this madness. Why can't we organize and bring some form of justice to this evil Oyedipo and his criminal empire. I know it's impossible to bring him to justice in this country, but justice could be brought to him! |
This guy is among some Yorubas in this government doing the right thing for fatherland. I highly commend him and fellow Nigerians should do the same. His fight against fertilizer scam in Nigeria is unprecedented and he seem to be making a huge impact, thereby making the stuff available to people that really need them;..our struggling farmers. |
Another gorgeous SE/SS woman doing the right thing at the aviation ministry. Same goes for Arunma Otteh of security and exchange commission. Our gals are simply the best. |
A reputable research done by TVL Global Financial has shown that nigerian pastors have a combined futurne of 1.5 trillion naira. The first ten richest pastors own 80% of this forturne and they're all Yorubas. 90% of this futurne comes from tithe paid mostly by Igbos who for inexplicable reasons continue to fall for the antics of incorrigible lieing pastors from a certain part of Nigeria. The research also showed that Yorubas don't attend churches where the pastor or GO is somebody outside their ethnic group. South Easterners and South.S. should wake up and smell the koffi. These two ethnic groups are on downward spiral because scarce resource are being sent to criminal pastors for the development of their regions. Can you imagine how many banks 1.5 trillion can establish, how many private universities it can build, how many shoping malls it can built, how many orphans it can help, how many widows it can feed. They use your money to buy up Nigeria for their gang while you continue playing mumu. Most major industries are in the hand of these group and their ethnic group and the source of the funding is your tithe. You have to wake up or your departed ancestors will never allow you to progress. |
If you beleive this story then you're simply not exposed. There is no money in agriculture to warrant such amount of money, unless its for charity. |
These're giant generators being hyped as IPP. Lagos state boasts of having economy larger than Ghana but can't supply steady eclectricity to any residence. What happened to the Lagos mono rail? Fashola is busy chasing okada and waging war of attriction against the poor all over Lagos. He should go to east and south south to see what is called IPP, not those his Mekano generators. Lagos state needs thousands of mega watts, not this measrable ten or twenty MWs. |
What a stupid question! Do pastors follow their own teaching? |
peterphd: Nice article but number seven spoilt it. Why can't we Africans do something good and take credit for it? Must we give it all to a "god"?Nigeria is a land of religious extreemist, especially the pentecostal followers. People make first class in proper universities all over the world without attributing it to any supernatural force. But this is Nigeria, where things other countries take for granted are called breakthrough, spiritual favours etc. Religion and pastors have really messed this country up. I think few hours of quality study everyday is a good starth, though there's no silver bullet for everybody. |
Ich liebe dich: Yes i canik liebe dich nicht! enshuligon |
Most of their criminal camps are along Lagos Ibadan motoway; now use your brain haibe: I don't know, who are the jet set thieving pastors? |
Don't you know where 99% of our jet set theiving pastors in Nigeria come from. haibe: Is pastor moses rahamon popoola from south east nigeria? |
"After listening to the powerful sermon delivered by the General Overseer- Pastor Moses Rahaman Popoola" unquote. Why are 90% of these self appointed General Overseers from a certain part of southern Nigeria? You can as well argue that most of our motor parts dealers are from a certain state in south east. How is it possible that christian god is always biased in choosing GOs from that region of Nigeria? Are they known for their honesty, bravery, hardwork reliablity etc, which are virtues in every religion? These new thieving pentecostal churches and their pastors should be restricted along with other muslim extreemist group because they're simply up to no good. They're damaging what is left of sanity in this country with their mass deception and corruption of the people and environment. |
what's going on here? I was trying to quote and support SINMPLESAYI for his brilliant post and my quotes keep going for the shoe shinners. |

Who wouldn't cry after your own mother tries to snuff life out of you. |
Nope, I kick them in the teeth |
The more you try to answer this question the more you expose the hoax called christianity and islam. |
