@ayxmania

studyexec has mentioned another important factor that should persuade you to move fast.

Imagine the impact that applicants with 30 + 15 marks would have on the pool from June 6!

Thank you. With MA, my crs is 478, with BA, it is 441.
I'm 24 and single, 5 years working experience.
Looks like a very good candidate for ITA. I suggest you evaluate your BA immediately, prepare well to write IELTS and dive into the pool.

If there are no major constraints like proof of fund, etc, you may not need to wait for the MA. No one can predict what the cutoff score would be once the PNPs start hitting the pool.

My bosses, I took IELTS on 25th March and my result is :Listening: 7.5; Reading: 6.5; Writing: 7.5; Speaking: 6.5; Overall: 7.0. I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and I am 40.Can I scale thru with it on EE?
Use the following link as recommended by optionese. You can determine your likely score. It may also open your eyes to other possibilities.

You may also consider retaking IELTS.

@Lochinny: Your ECA will only show year of completion as Bimpsy99 rightly stated. I don't think you have to worry too much.

If it will give you peace of mind, you may follow optionese suggestion but it is the year that matters.

@joyuzo Thank you, wish you the best in the test smiley

I will have a total of 420 points when my ECA comes out but waiting for my spouse to get his ECA and IELTS which should jump me up to over 445. The challenge is that his passport has expired and although, he's applied for a new passport, we heard there's no passport material and no one knows when they'll get a new batch. Until the passport comes, he can't apply to write IELTS.

Would you advice that we enter the pool and update when he gets his ECA and IELTS or should I wait until we get everything and enter the pool with a more substantial point?

Thanks for your prompt responses so far.
I suggest that you "dive" into the pool immediately your ECA arrives. You can update your EE profile anytime your spouse gets ECA and IELTS results.

When is your ECA likely to be out? Nobody can tell what the cutoff of the next draw would be. What if the next one or the one after it is 420, just saying. IRCC has been unpredictable lately.

Send me a PM on the UNILAG contact issue if it has not been sorted.

@optionese: Congrats on your ECA. Update sharply! cheesy

Finally, ITA arrived for my wife! cheesy

Just when we were gradually accepting the reality of waiting for the next draw, God showed us His favour. For a journey that started with our first IELTS in December 2014, we give Him all the glory.

Thanks to this wonderful e-family for the encouragement, kind words and support. May God grant all your wholesome hearts' desires in Jesus' name, Amen!

MINISTERIAL INSTRUCTIONS RESPECTING INVITATIONS TO APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE UNDER THE EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM (APRIL 5, 2017)

Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on April 5, 2017, and ending on April 6, 2017, is 3,753.

Required rank

(2) Foreign nationals who, on April 5, 2017, at 12:09:10 UTC, have been assigned a total of 431 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014, and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.
Please can anyone explain the bolded? I am trying to understand the "cutoff" better. Does it mean that any score updated after that time is ineligible? Thanks

Thanks. I congratulate myself and other people expecting ITA today in advance. The score is favorable thanks to God. Waiting for my email. Someone once said your profile will be frozen after the draw till the email comes, mine isn't o..but I am hopeful
@bolded Do you mean that one will not be able to view personal information that contains the CRS score?

This is super-amazing!

I think IRCC is determined to be unpredictable.

Congratulations to all recipients. Might have missed today's ITA by a few hours no thanks to wifey's ECA which just landed.

I pray the score for the next draw remains low.

E-family, any idea if there would be a draw today or this week?

What is IRCC's cutoff time on each day of the draw i.e. specific time from which your profile must be active to be eligible for ITA?

@optionese You made me laugh @ "i want to cry on your head"

You can't really predict IQAS. I had to call them today in respect of my wife's application. It has clocked about 12 working days with them already. All they said was that she should get it "in a couple of days" angry

They reminded me to check their website for their processing times which has increased to 15 working days. That was no news to me undecided

I really wished it was hers that came out earlier being the principal applicant so that we can be in line for this week's draw but my own ECA application got completed first.

See my timeline below;

February 16: Payment and submission of application.

February 22: Acknowledgement of application.

March 7: Acknowledgement of academic documents. They informed me at that point that my file has been placed for processing.

March 20: Notification of ECA. Got a scanned copy of the IQAS certificate.

Processing time was about 9 working days/13 calendar days.

We just have to be patient and wait. You are not alone!
