@MrTour: Thanks for your response. I am not in Lagos. I actually have the contacts of their people in my location. In Stanbic, you have about 10 mins to accept or reject secondary market offers for Tbills. So I thought that having a head office contact could give me more leverage in this new TB "regime". Not a big deal though |

Farefare: Good day all, I am new here and I must say thank you for all the knowledge being shared on this platform to assist one another. I have read the first few pages to get a hang of all these. I have registered for my IELTS, next: credential evaluation with WES. Please, is there a lawyer in the house that has evaluated his or her credentials, if yes did you send both LLB & BL certificates for evaluation?
Regards There is a lawyer on this forum who has been sharing her experiences. You may be better off with IQAS. Please read her posts for more information. See below; https://www.nairaland.com/iphie25/posts |

ilymoa: Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I have been reading through the forum for an answer but couldn't find one. Please anyone doing evaluation through IQAS, how did you make payment since we have a monthly $100 limit on our Nigeria cards.
Thanks This was recently addressed; you probably missed it. Use a dollar MasterCard or get someone abroad to make payment on your behalf using a credit card. |

Looks like there were no ITAs yesterday. Learned that there were snowstorms in Canada yesterday forcing many to stay indoors. Offices too were reportedly closed.
Any further information on this? |

dannio: Checking the job titles under NOC 1114 l saw these two:
interbanking arrangements officer foreign interbanking arrangements officer
l think these two should cover for FT being that you handle handle inter-bank,intra-bank and foreign currency transactions
My take Thanks for the insight, expecially at the bolded. I also noticed that 1114 requires a bachelor degree while NOC 1212 is just fine with a lower qualification. NOC 1114 looks like it Looping: winter |

Empire14: For fund transfer it's noc 1114 transaction arrangement officer local and foreign transaction. That's what we used as fund transfer for our application and we got PPR last week thursday Would you mind sharing why you chose this instead of NOC 1212? I checked the main duties under NOC 1114 and I did not see the main duties of a Fund Transfer Officer under it. Would your choice have been different if you were the unit head of Fund Transfer Unit in your branch? Please share your thoughts. cc: dannio |

olamitayo: Hi house, please has anyone gotten an ican evaluation done By IQAS. How long did it take for ICaN to send the transcript? Is it a stalling process or I just go ahead and evaluate my bsc. Please a quick response is needed as I want to pay for the evaluation and need to know if to include ican or not. *modified To the best of my knowledge, IQAS doesn't evaluate ICAN positively i.e. as a professional qualification like ACCA. You can evaluate your highest educational qualification. |

Pinkygrace: They are truly overwhelmed, my husband acknowledgement email came in February 13 after sending all documents since January 16 or so and we just got his ECA report on Sunday Imagine! From my experience, follow-up may be necessary. They didn't acknowledge my transcript until I contacted them last week. It stayed with them for about 7/8 days until I got documentary confirmation from my school. Upon faxing them with evidence of delivery, they replied within 24 hours and acknowledged my completed application. |

studyexec: Good morning guys, please how long does it take IQAS to acknowledge your ECA application after submitting the documents?
I faxed the necessary docs to them on Friday and have not heard anything since then. IQAS is currently overwhelmed with a large volume of applications. Understandably, a lot of applicants are switching to them due to their faster processing. For instance, they have a backlog as they are yet to open surface mails that came in from last week Wednesday. Give them till the end of this week, you should be able to get an acknowledgement from them by then. |

dupyshoo: Hi All, I just want to let everyone know that l won't be regular on the thread anymore due to changes in my schedule. This might also affect the rate at which I attend to PMs. The good thing is that there are so many people on the thread that are knowledgeable about the process and will be able to answer any questions that may be asked.
I have learnt a lot, made some good friends through this thread and have enjoyed answering questions. I wish everyone on this journey quick PPR and smooth relocation to Canada. We shall miss you dupyshoo. I personally appreciate your selfless and kind spirit. Please try to come around from time to time. May God bless all your endeavours superabundantly. Amen! |

God bless you for this wonderful piece of information.
Please I would like to ask if someone with a degree from a section 2 school has additional qualifications such as ICAN, (I.e B.sc Accounting from OOU + ICAN) will it in anyway contribute to successful outcome? My wife got a positive assessment from CA with the profile that you indicated above i.e. BSc (OOU) + ICAN. @Virtual3xpert: Thanks for sharing. |

Beem4cupid: My dear, you got that letter from Gtbank probably cos you are no longer in their employment. Most banks' Hr hardly give this letter in the required format. I will implore other bankers in the house to get their reference letter from their supervisors if hr will not give instead of impersonating the letter as if it was from Hr. Then add other supporting documents to prove that you are an employee. I totally agree with the bolded. However, do you think that CIC could send an introduction letter written by one's supervisor to head office for confirmation? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 7:24pm On Mar 12, 2017*. Modified: 7:53pm On Mar 12, 2017 |
peppers: So the thing is Gtbank gives only a letter of introduction as If you are going to the Embassy. They state that you are an assistant banking officer that joined the bank in maybe August 2013. They do not state your job description or your job title which was the problem. So do you think using the introduction letter along with an LOE will suffice? And in the LOE one could state that the bank does not give a letter of introduction or reference as expected from CIC. Also is it okay to please ask the Gtbank person you know what letter they used.
Thank you I don't know the letter that the GTBank staff used. I am not close to him; only became aware after he left. However, most banks, if not all, do not issue letters for immigration purposes to staff that are still in their employment. Please note my suggestions below; 1. On a "neutral" level, make a request of your job description from HR. You could give the impression that you want to update your CV. OR 2. Built a rapport with with a HR personnel and obtain it on an informal level. OR 3. Search your office mail for internal/external vacancies that had earlier your current job role. A job description should be included. In addition to any of the above, support your LOE with payslips, letters of employment/confirmation/promotion, appraisals, letter of introduction to the embassy and any relevant document that you can use in supporting your claim. If your supervisor is cooperative, you could ask him to do a personal reference for you while you get it notarized so that it can carry "weight". Above all, pray for God's favour. Kindly note that the above are what I would do if I were in your situation and not necessarily an expert opinion. cc: dupyshoo |
