Ok Boss. Was only informing the house. However the entire dish with the 5 LNBF Cost 8K at strong office. I personally don't think its expensive sha. Considering the fact that this dish is not even round like our regular 90cm.its is specially shaped to accommodate all the sattelites conveniently. Whn U calculate cost of regular dish, 5 lmbf and wahala of construction............I don't see construction as cheaper.

Regards
where did you buy it? this strong office is located where precisely?

quality is not great TBH, but it should serve its purpose.

In all it cost me about 3,800 naira which i think is ok, especially because my attempts at fabricating one was costing me close to 8k!!

Anyone with a picture of Multi-LNB setup using a holder should please post it. i used to see a labelled one sometime ago on NL.......

this is potentially 5 LNBs
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by 4llerbuntu(m): 4:41pm On Nov 21, 2014
So i decided to bite the bullet and order a multi-Lnb holder from Ali Express.

i ordered this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Multi-Feed-LNB-Holder-hold-up-to-5-ku-band-LNBs-FTA-5-LNB-Holder-Free/459948557.html

cost $18.

(it appears there are even better ones. but i didnt see them until later. maybe they were not stocked before)

I chose free shipping because i didn't wanna risk ma money grin grin grin

Ordered on November 7, 2014

today 21 November, i got a text from the post office to come pick it up. (They charged me 500 naira, i still don't understand why sha. i collected receipt though grin grin grin)

No packaging and manual tho. i had to use my number 6 to couple it

PhonesRe: Top 5 Reason Why Tecno Is Still The Worst Android Phone Ever by 4llerbuntu(m): 1:21pm On Nov 20, 2014
if you think tecno is bad, you most likely have never tried Infinix.

The WORST OEM ON THE PLANET.

you are complaining about update when even the OS version on the phone is not available.

apparently they get the thing flashed on the NAND in China where they order the rubbish in bulk then badge it in their name.

The only phones that don't have the stock OS available anywhere is Infinix, even their direct reps in Nigeria could not provide it.

And FYI all these chinko sellers appear to have a exclusivity deal with Carlcare that ensures they will offer zero support for any of their devices and you must go to carlcare for the smallest thing.

and when God wan come catch you carlcare no go fit repair am for you. Money enter bush be that.
PhonesRe: Infinix zero discussion thread! by 4llerbuntu(m): 10:00am On Nov 19, 2014
Continue making noise about Infinix. the day is coming when you eye will clear and you will understand that there is ZERO support for that device.

Disposable phones with no second hand value. if today that phone bootloops due to any cause that is the end of it. No ROM, not even stock rom anywhere. no parts or spares anywhere.

if na so people like nokia and samsung dey do nii dem for no progress

Julius262:
I need Infinix Zero stock ROM.
And please after flashing it, will my phone still show rooted?
if you have to ask this question, you should not be thinking of flashing anything.

Julius262:
Give me the download link. Thanks in advance
Ur options are:
1. Ask infinix themselves for the ROM dem dey twitter and facebook

2. Ask someone else who has the phone and is a "guru" to make a firmware dump for you

3. Carry ya phone to carlcare jejely.

4. go buy another phone, noting that Infinix is the worst phone maker ever when it comes to after sales support. not one infinix device rom can be found anywhere on the internet

*sigh* Look, men and women have certain standards.
But of course every one has standards............

the only problem is that your high heels and degrees and titles at your fanciful glorified servitude job are not the standards required for Marriage. Unless of course you think the ability to count money and wear skirt suits are what qualifies you to be a wife.

Kimmo:
The kind of man who would willingly choose a cleaner, thinks of himself as being happy with her choice of work/person. There are certain jobs people choose because of a lack of choice. The average university graduate in Nigeria would go for teaching rather than cleaning, for instance.
Hmnn, so to your mind a person (human being) is firstly their job title or description, or profession etc before they are actually persons?

When you see a human being the first thing you think is 'cleaner', 'security', 'banker' before "human being', 'woman', 'man', 'child of God' e.t.c

Honestly i never knew the job title is the criteria to choosing a person to date, or sleep with...........

i suspect a lot of men do not too.

Kimmo:
There's no way to equate a cleaner with a banker, unless the person cleans Jonathan's room in Aso rock or runs a professional cleaning outfit.
so a cleaner at Aso rock is a better 'cleaner' than the one at my 1 room apartment? or rather is a better human being/ more 'standardized'

Meanwhile I just D/Led the Root file manager only to find out that the files u asked me to check contains nothing (0.00MB). .. Any,way, thanks for your time.
its not possible that those folders are empty.

you prolly did not enable R/W on the system partition.

Help some1!!

i have 8GB in my phone, i have movies, musics, ebooks, apps e.t.c on my phone. The problem is ,from my logical calculations I've used less than 6GB yet i have less than 500MB storage space remaining. I'd clean my cache ( and deleted thumbnails) several times. is there anything else i can delete which wont affect the smooth running of the phone?
This question is asked EVERY FOOOKIN page on this thread. USE THE SEARCH NA...

to fix the storage problem.

be rooted.

have a root file manager

Navigate to root /data/log_other_mode

delete everything inside it

Navigate to /data/dalvik cache, delete everything

Navigate to/data/lost+found, delete everything inside

Navigate to /system/lost+found. delete everything in it

Navigate to /system/app. delete Mtk Logger app and the .dex file.

reboot device. you should be good now......

fastboot for Windows

ADB and Fastboot without the SDK

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790

After installing ADB and Fastboot you add a path in environmental variables.

For Windows:

left click the Windows (start) button > right click on computer > choose properties > go to advanced system settings > advanced tab > environmental variables > in the first box (user variables for _____) click new > name it

adb

input the value where it was installed e.g C:\android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools

(yours may differ from this so double check it!)

in the second box (system variables) find a variable named path

if one doesn't exist make one > double click on it > at the very end of the variable value add the same line as before but with a ; in front of it. like this:

;C:\android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools

click ok and you are done!

Well this allows you to open a command line from anywhere on your computer without changing directories to use fastboot which i suspect is the problem you have
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by 4llerbuntu(m):
You have not even started ADB. which magic u wan come use access the device?

go read your tutorial well and be sure u installed ADB correctly

and do remember to enable android debugging on the device

and for fastboot the standard query to check that u are on track is "fastboot devices"

@4llerbe you, kde? I'm surprised, always thought you didn't think much of it. As per the pinguy I tried it once too, wasn't impressed. I think for the near future not really into trying unknown distros anymore. Maybe I've gotten lazy.
i still don't grin grin

I only installed something else because my 14.04 install crashed. and remember the KDE i'm using is not vanilla. the Pinguy guy already installed and tweaked so many things so its not bad....... i doubt if it was vanilla kubuntu i'd still be using it.

yeah, i'm lazy too these days. no time to mess around too much.

ultimately its not so bad sha, now that i don't poke round my installs much. i just know i'm never downloading Pinguy OS ever again. too much crap and customizations. duplication of app, updating is a major data waste each time.....

BTW i'm thinking of migrating one old PC at work to a distro. PC came with XP and its a pain to allow XP on the network.... always attacked.
problem is i can't think of an appropriate distro.
Guy that uses the PC uses only* firefox and MS word. total noob, even in windows.

challenge is, something that does not deviate too far from windows look (and will not end up with me holding his hand all the time) AND will not be heavy on the download.

FFS even Xubuntu .iso is 915MB shocked shocked shocked thought of mint xfce, its 1.2gb

whatever happened to light distros?

weird enough I've been running KDE.

I had a crash on my PC and decided to use the opportunity to try a new gnome distro (Pinguy OS). it was unusable for me, I tried it for one painful day.

so I decided to install KDE desktop before wiping the drive and I've been using it since..... maybe because the distro I tried already had lots of stuff pre-installed and configured.

will do a dist-upgrade on Monday.

this release was REALLY low key sha. I even forgot about it........

that said where is this Ubuntu Touch phone nahuh I'm sick and tired of waiting. I will be very disappointed if they miss this year. they promised 3rd quarter and this is 4th. I've actually held out on buying a phone for months because of it.
