Wasn't Maj Gen Oluleye ex-Military Gov of Lagos State? Which state is he actually from,Oluleye that is. |
Check out this Magnum Opus from Kit: Mc Omo: |
Mc Omo:@Rikky Exactly what I told him.Kit is indeed a prophet, the opposite of anything he predicts happens! He lampooned Juior Agogo, and the boy scored. When they were holding Vogts responsible, little did they know that the source of our misfortune was Kit who was jinxing any team he supports. |
Unrelated. . . . .I know,I know.But symptomatic of Kit.Just before Nigeria played Ghana. Mc Omo: |
Mc Omo:MC Omo speaks with Adebayor? The way he praises Ade,you will think he was born as a Siamese-conjoined twin to Ade.However, instead of having, like joined heads or stomachs.Kit was probably born with his tongue glued or joined to Ade's butt!! ![]() Too much ass kissing of Ade by Dr Kit. ![]() |
You just have to love this.El Classico from El Omo Mc Omo:In case you were wondering,no,he wasn't speaking of Rooney or Tevez. He was speaking of the Special One-Cristiano Ronaldo! And did he not say we can quote him anytime anyday? ![]() |
This is unrelated to United. . . .but its symptomatic of MC Omo's ailment. ![]() Mc Omo: @ toba 1909 That was a HNIC classic. Still waiting for him to acclaim me a prophet. ![]() |
rikkyjen:I can remember that particular night,he seemed to be possessed by a retarded ghost high on chronic. What about this from the irrepressible Prof Kit,just a couple of days ago. Mc Omo: |
This is what Loyika told a Chelsea fan 2 months ago: 4)NateevsThis one sounded like it was typed after 2 bottles of Star: It was 5 now its 3, soon it will be 0 |
MC Omo was on another level of silliness. He had no peers in producing horse hockey. |
I posted this earlier on the Gaynners thread:10 of the best deranged rants from Loyika who suddenly became "busy" as the "Treble" beckoned. ![]() Quote from: loyika on March 20, 2008, 05:12 PM |

@Imani With regards to the 4th point:We have seen the greatest increase in foreign aid under this administration since the time of JFK. What else do we want? We are allowed duty free imports into the US under AGOA which the current administration expanded. The US is responsible for at least 50% of humanitarian aid to Africa. There are literally millions of Africans today whose lives have been saved by the US. The key problem with our(Africans) perception of the outside world is that it depends entirely on non-Africans.Everything we know about the outside world depends on the foreign media. Hence,if the foreign media seeks to examine the US solely through the prism of its Middle-East policies and totally ignore its policies in Africa,Africans, who have never had a friendlier US administration, imbibe all the petty hate towards the Bush administration which hate is based on regions that have nothing to do with us-the Middle-East.I don't think people in the Middle-East are sitting on their backside handwringing over US policy in Liberia for instance. Because the foreign media shapes our perception, such perceptions are incompatible with our reality as Africans. For instance, most Africans love the Clinton Administration despite its remarkably worse policies towards Africa by comparison with the Bush era.Clinton slashed our aid budget and never pushed for debt cancellation(African nations were spending $11 in debt repayment for every $1 received in foreign aid in the 90s). If you ask Africans what Clinton did better for Africa compared to Bush, they can't tell you.Our perception is shaped, not by our reality as Africans, but by the leftist-dominated media organizations which serve as our window to the outside world. |
Which foreign policy are you talking of?Is it the same one under which the US has tripled the aid budget for Africa and helped bring about debt cancellation? Is it the same one that allows African countries to export many products into America duty free? Maybe you prefer foreign policy under which Africa is laden with debt. |

Not so fast. . . . .Arsenal are still very much in the title race! Its only a 9 points gap, anything can still happen. Does anyone remember when Arsenal fans were confident they would lift the EPL? All the permutations about our games against them and West Ham and how they would be in a position to take advantage. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for them.Naah. . . . .they should sit back and admire the real big teams go for the trophies this season. PS:Arsenal are only 5 points ahead of Liverpool. They should try and hold on to to that 3rd place. ![]() |
Has anyone read this UK article:Can you trust First Bank of Nigeria? Nigerian bank may not be the first to spring to mind when looking for a safe and profitable home for your money, but UK savers should be advised to take note. |
doyin13:I don't think most people would agree that "symbolism, macabre entertainment and retribution" should be determining factors as to whether a human being's life should be terminated. We might as well reinstate the Roman Empire's gladiator events. The only worthy pertinent factor from the aforementioned is "retribution" but one has to wonder whether a termination of life is a harder punishment to bear for a criminal than the prospect of spending a lifetime behind bars. One important point is also lost;the criminal justice system is not a 100% efficient.Innocent people, especially in a place like Nigeria, are regularly at the receiving end of undeserved punishment.Capital punishment applies an irreversible punishment in a system notorious for its glaring errors. |
sugabelly:You don't get it,we can't be like Saudi Arabia because the circumstances are entirely different. Its like comparing a family of 4 making 11m Naira per annum to a family of 15 making 2m Naira. Besides,I don't get this idea that Saudi Arabia is a model we want to copy. This country has a lower living standard than the average developed nation and is almost wholly dependent on the price of oil.A decade ago,per capita income was around $6k and unemployment topped 30%. We have to broaden our source of revenue and any suggestion that the solution to our problem lies in remaining drunk on oil, exposed to the vicissitudes of oil prices,is simply obtuse. In broadening our revenue base, its important that we have an efficient tax system with emphasis on low tax rates and an expansion of our tax payer's base. |
A measure is only as good as its usefulness.A punishment that fails to deter or prevent crime is clearly not working. The US has the highest murder rate in the Western world despite retaining the death penalty.Nigeria's armed robbery rate hasn't reduced one jot since we introduced capital punishment for armed robbers. Surely, the execution of innocents should move us to see that this draconian punishment is beyond the pale for any civilized people. |
Export restrictions exist because farmers in those Asian countries find it more profitable to export. Those countries, especially Communist Vietnam, retain some measure of price control over the domestic market. By restricting exports, they curtail supply to the world market in much the same way as OPEC does with oil.Another frustrating thing is that the main policy tool through which export restriction is carried out is via export tariffs. This simply adds to cost. I think its time for the world to seriously examine the impact of GM crops. For too long, they have allowed the environmentalists to scare us away from exploiting the potential benefits of these crops.Studies have shown that many GM crops are even safer than "organic" crops. |
doyin13:The market has been 'rigged'. The agricultural sector is probably the most regulated, after the defence industry. For instance,in reaction to rice shortages, the likes of Vietnam and Philippines placed export restrictions. That makes things worse as it curtails supply leading to even more inflation. I'm worried because Africa is uniquely vulnerable to food price inflation.Being poor,a greater proportion of household's budgets goes towards buying food.Any such inflation will simply feed into the whole economy. The best measures will working towards the liberalisation of the agricultural sector whether its scrapping the CAP or the various trade barriers that currently exist. |
If output was growing at a significant pace, wouldn't that slow down food price inflation in Nigeria? Instead, the feedback has been that inflation in Nigeria, like other parts of Africa, has been galloping at a high pace. It also depends on which particular agricultural products underlie these Govt figures. If its simply export oriented products like cocoa,cashew,cotton,e.t.c,then the average Nigerian won't feel the effects when they go shopping for their food. Its either output growth hasn't been that significant or much of the growth is export oriented. It could also be a combination of the two. |
Escalating prices has been the trend for close to a decade. The key growth factors has been rising demand in India and China. |
By all indications, its going to get worse.Could hit 20,000 by this time next year. |
Nigerian statistics are not to be trusted. However, export figures have been strong, showing growing output.Of course,it will take more than 7% annual growth in output to solve our domestic needs. |
Escalating food prices are mainly a result of economic development in China and India. You can add the negative effects of climate change and the bio-ethanol industry. The situation will get even more dire in the coming years.I started a thread earlier about ithttps://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=125330.msg2126319#msg2126319.I wonder what plans Nigeria has to deal with this issue. |
I saw Guillem Balague on SkySports claiming that Barca are happy they got Utd instead of Liverpool and Chelski. The reason:we play attacking football and they will have more spaces to exploit. They think we are more vulnerable in our defence. This is proof those Catalan idiots are illiterates.Even Steve Wonder,by looking at the league, will realize that we have the strongest defence in the Prem. Did they not see the game against Roma in Rome? |
@Imani Shouldn't you be supporting Leyton Orient or Dagenham & Redbridge? ![]() Been supporting the Mancs since '94.Heard you started supporting Arsenal because of Kanu, now that he is gone, you should follow Doyin to Pompey,at least they are going to win a trophy. ![]() |
2012-Arsenal wins the Sharon Paints Trophy. 2013-Arsenal wins Nkalagu Cements Trophy |
mukina2:Its because your club didn't make it past the Q/F. Jealousy dey kill some people. ![]() |
@Loyika Been sitting back like you said, but can't see anything to admire. Only thing to admire is what I have been admiring for over a decade now-Man Utd's samba football. Do you have anything to say for yourself, any requiem for your trophy hopes. ![]() |
