Is Donzman not the greatest Economist from Nigeria since Pius Okigbo? grin

I should have known better.Last night,I was watching a discussion on Fox News(Hannity and Colmes) involving Newt Gingrich, the subject of the discussion was a healthcare plan proposed by Gingrich which he was promoting for his Presidential Campaign. How foolish was he to suggest that the Govt should be involved

According to Donzman,he should be berating the private sector for not providing the healthcare coverage for the 40 million uninsured Americans. Those stupid Americans who keep seeking Govt solution to this problem.

Here in the UK,the stupid Brits have been blaming the Blair Govt for problems in the NHS when as the genius Donzman notes, the real issue is why is the private sector not stepping in.

Wenger says he will sign 2 "world class" players this summer if things work out.Knowing Wenger, there is an 80% chance the signings will be duds

Most of Wenger's expensive signings over the past 11 years have been duds-Reyes,Jeffers,Van Bronchkorst ,Wiltord.

Only Henry has been a good signing.

Spending huge sums of money on transfers is an incredible gamble for a manager.Where a player is signed for a pittance,if he flops the manager escapes with little blame. If you sign 15 cheap players, you only have to get it right with 3 or 4 of them to become a hero. For every Fabregas, there was a Vernazza,Luzhny,Diawara,Inamoto,Cygan e.t.c.

When you make a hugely expensive signing, your margin for error is greatly reduced.People seem to think that those who do well with frugal signings will automatically do well with loads of money. That is utter nonsense.

Roman Abramovich has split from his wife and they are negotiating a hefty settlement which could have a massive impact on Roman's financial fortunes

Navvaro is the reserve keeper while Marchena is the starting centre half pairing with Ayala. They will miss Marchena a lot,it is a big blow

I was barely able to go through the ordeal of listening but he seemed to be saying that kids possess the mental capacity to choose whether to sleep with an adult or not.If they chose to do that then noone should be punished

He said he himself had not done it but that those who freely choose it,should not be penalised. He also wanted an end to the criminalisation of child porn since it was "harmless" .

What I didn't get was where he draws the line.At what age do they want the age of consent to be.

I know of NAMBLA grin. A representative was on the BBC Radio arguing the case for the legalisation of peadophilia. He had been convicted earlier for downloading child porn.

The kind of responses he was getting from callers to the phone-in programme,I nearly felt sorry for him grin

The support for peadophillia is often manifest in campaigns to lower the age of consent. The trend in the West has been towards lowering the age

I hope I won't be around when incest and peadophilia go mainstream
FamilyRe: To Make Incest Legal Or Not by 4Play(m): 2:36am On Mar 14, 2007
I read an article in the Times of London on this story, the author made the point that incestuos relationships were getting more popular in England due to the breakdown of many relationships. Her reasoning was that people  felt safer having a relationship with someone they know very well than entering a relationship with what often are "strangers"

Incest is probably going to be another political battleground in the future in the same way that homosexuality has become today

I agree that the process of deregulation is inherently painstaking and complex, taking time to complete

I do however feel that the process in Nigeria is half hearted and insincere and that the private sector is rightfully hedging its bet.How do you explain the never ending deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector. The Govt is not fully committed to the cause due to due to various constraints, particularly political.

If the Govt was genuinely committed to deregulation, like they were with the GSM market, the private sector would have been eagerly investing already. There won't have been any need for the Govt to fund anymore power plants.

All he should have said is that he does not see the point of the thread. He should not have claimed that no Arsenal fan is comparing the greatness of the 2 clubs.

Whether someone is an Arsenal fan does not depend on whether you reckon with him or not.Is Muki not an Arsenal fan?but she has said similar things before

The hallmark of  first rate imbecilles is that they make claims which go contrary to overwhelming  evidence

He said
loyika:
No arsenal supporter is saying we are greater than Man United, Mention one on this thread that said so huh
yet right there, just a click away, was the evidence to the contrary. This thread was started by a Gooner!

The other day he was arguing that Carrick was not a holding midfielder while producing links which showed he was.

At first I was joking when I was making fun of his intelligence, but I now seriously see that he is not the smartest guy in the world. How can you make a claim that is easily and obviously rebuttable?

@kitaun

I use the word "cretin" because that simply encapsulates what he is.This is not Primary School where you fling the most impressive sounding insults to to show your grasp of the English language.I don't need to impress cretins. grin
@ everyone in this thread - loyika, you too.

I'm not saying Liverpool is not as great as ManU but the topic says who is greater not greatest. We're comparing ManU to Arsenal so why i am seeing Liverpool everywhere?
Comprehension of English is the main problem of brainless Gooners grin

I told Loyika that apart from Utd,Arse have scored more goals per game than anyother club in the League. He furiously denied it while telling me they have scored 50 goals in 27 games while Chelsea have scored 50 goals in 28 games.

Obviously that shows Arse have scored more per game but being a braindead Gooner,he couldn't see that grin

The thread is about Arse and Utd,so all references to Liverpool is irrelevant and smacks of imbecillity
