JustMellow:
Hello JayEjabz,
After the R10 check, and prior to opening by an officer, the application can go fast or slow. If it goes fast, the verification of the LOA, IELTS, and MBS can be requested on the same day but the verification responses may not be received by IRCC at the same time. The verification process can be triggered one-month prior to submission and maybe more if there is a delay.
The verification can be done almost the same time as when the background check starts, immediately an eligibility review is about to start or in the process, or almost at the end of the background check.
Most times, the background and eligibility check runs concurrently and if this becomes the case; the verification, criminality, info sharing, etc. will begin almost the same time.
Note that, despite being rare, a secondary verification can still be done for the LOA or MBS (excluding IELTS) at almost the end of the eligibility review assessment or when about to finalize the application. This can be experienced only with the MBS.
Best of Luck
Sir, Please kindly elaborate more on this. I really want to get what you mean. As my verification is showing 0 while eligibility is showing blank meaning nothing is being done on my application or what? |

Johnmark247: Wonderful of you JustMellow.
You've just tossed the coin with precision. I've just managed to get the registrar's official email and his sec's contact number. I've sent them a Request Letter to forward my Official Transcript to the U of M as necessary. Looking forward to hearing from them with the week, hopefully.
Thanks and remain blessed.
Hello Again, It is a step forward, you can have some focus now. Cheers! |

Hello Ketima, I can't recall vividly if it was Lawfree638 or Spectro that made a post in this regard. It was adequately addressed. Go back some pages or hit their signature to surf through some of their earliest posts. In the nutshell, most applications have been finalized without their GcKey dashboard timeline changing, or the IRCC GCMS system being updated to reflect some crucial activities. Best of Luck |

I dof my hat oga, you are too much. You deserve an award. Lekiboboe:
While you await response from the gurus.
THESE ARE MY OWN SUGGESTIONS
You have two options here cos there you have no study gap & since you graduated 2021(MSC) and you also have Work Experience (as an HR professional)
Either you go for a - Fully-funded PHD program in Actuarial Science or Actuarial science related area e.g BUSINESS ANALYTICS (Scholarship) - Post Graduate Certificate (PG.Cert) in Human Resources Management (based on your Work Experience)
For the Scholarship Option, if you can take your time and do your due diligence about it, luck might just smile at you.
Interestingly, Business Analytics is more or else tailoring Management to Science, Tech & Engineering, i.e NONSTEM to STEM & am sure you know PHD is all about RESEARCH, so
If you are proficient in the use of Python, SQL, R-programming, Advanced Excel and some other Data Analytics software packages, and you also have some Research Experience or Projects, did online courses related to Business Analytics , yes you stand a Chance of getting a PHD Scholarship in Canada
Below are some Research Areas in Business Analytics you might want to consider for your PHD in Canadian Universities
- Big Data Analytics - Time Series and Forecasting - Statistical Machine Learning - Supply Chain Management - Blockchain Technology - applied econometrics - electricity markets - financial econometrics and quantitative risk forecasting - Bayesian methods - forecasting, sensitivity analysis - micro-econometrics, multivariate statistical methods -panel data methods and models - scheduling problems - stochastic non-life insurance and actuarial problems - testing and modelling structural change - Actuarial Science - Financial Engineering
Which ever Research area above (at least 4 Research Areas) you want to work on for your PHD in Business Analytics in Canada, you need to google professors in Canada whose Research Areas align with your Research Interests, or your prior research experience (MSC), then read about their Area of expertise, research work, articles (journals, publications), then draft a non-generic mail (cold mail) and send it to them to show interest in their work, how your research interests aligns with the Prof's Research areas and your intentions to join their Research Group. Once a Prof. finds you fit for his research group, all other things na cruise (Softwork).
Look at this illustration
So i am an Actuarial Science MSC holder, I have interest in "BlockTechnology" (which was stated on my Academic CV) for my PHD, so I went to google and type,
Professors of BlockChain technology Canada
So I saw a search result,
Professor. Victoria Lemieux https://blockchain.ubc.ca/people/victoria-lemieux
I read through her page and I saw this;
"My current research is focused on risk to the availability of trustworthy records, in particular in blockchain record keeping systems, and how these risks impact upon transparency, financial stability, public accountability and human rights"
Boom!!!, her research area aligned well with mine, so i drafted my Cold Mail & tailored it to her Research Area, then attached my well-detailed Academic CV and sent to her , two days later, she gave me this response (FIND ATTACHED THE IMAGE). In her next e-mail, she told me to go ahead and apply for the PHD program and attach all necessary documents e.g Transcript, Statement of Purpose (for Graduate School Application), Academic CV etc.). She gave me a supporting letter to attach to my application which shows that i have been accepted by a prof. (Supervisor). Three-Four Weeks Later, PHD Admission Came which was Fully-funded (Opooor!!!)
In a situation whereby a Prof. Mail you that he/she wants to have a SKYPE/ZOOM INTERVIEW WITH YOU the contents in the link below would suffice https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/331#99484513
A SAMPLE OF A SOFT REMINDER MAIL TO THE PROFESSOR YOU SENT A COLD MAIL TO WHO IS YET TO RESPOND https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/436#104040092
For more details on how to go about PHD admission, and package yourself for Graduate School Scholarships, take your time and go through the contents in the link below, relate it to your intentions of going for a PHD in a Business Analytics research area in Canada.

Note: Endeavor to ask questions from the Prof.
The PG.Cert Option Since you have work experience you can also go for a Post Grad. Certificate in HRM at Canadian Colleges.
See the link below for; PG. Cert in HRM (human resources Mgt.) programs & Colleges Offering them https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/440#95313925

Hello Everyone, Thank you so much for the information being dished out here. So, i just got admission into College of new Caledonian for a Post Diploma in Human Resources. I studied Agric for my BSC and fell in love with human resources after school. I currently have a year experience in human resources and i thought it would be nice to have a foundational knowledge in human resources hence my reason for applying. Also CNC gives CPHR designations after the Post diploma. How do i go about the visa processing? Do we have anyone here that's schooling there? Thank You |

Changing DLI is what someone should do outside of Canada when he/she has enough time to reapply for Study Permit. Sorry about this situation. |

IRCC has always clearly instructed to inform them in case of a change in DLI I know that there is a provision to switch DLI for those who have started schooling in Canada. I don’t know if you can reach out to IRCC explaining your situation. Let the gurus give some advice |

Abimbola15: please guys i need help. Please we changed the dli before any new policy of chnaging school outside canada was made. If you are 100% certain of this You can raise a webform giving valid reasons for your actions. You might have a point if the quoted above is 100% true. If IRCC doesn’t honor your request, you’d have to start processing another study permit application But then your passport has been stamped I don’t know how IRCC would go about that I’ll suggest you start preparing another application |

LaDoughMoney: Hi please I'm new to posting on here, is there anyone that can possibly recommend a good school offering masters in industrial organizational psychology These are only two schools in Canada offering the ProgramMASc in Industrial and Organizational Psychology University of Waterloo, Ontario MSc in Applied Psychology (Industrial/Organizational Psychology) Saint Mary's University, Nova Scotia but if its a thesis-based MASTERS you want to go for, there are profs. in PSYCHOLOGY dept. in Canadian Universities who have research focus in "industrial organizational psychology". Do a research on each of them and send them a non-generic cold mail based on how their research areas/focus and publications aligns with yours That being said, just go to google and type Professor in industrial organizational psychology Canada, you would see loads of search results bringing out loads of psychology profs. (faculty staffs), whose research focus is on industrial organizational psychology 2 Likes 1 Share |

Abimbola15: exactly! Change was made very early in the year. Just like Beebeegirll said, it would not be harmful to try and contact Embassy through Webform and Email concerning your situation and hear their suggestions. If your friend had reapplied, she had enough time. It's quite somehow she was never bothered since that Law was made. There is no way she will be judged with an old law that has become obsolete, especially when she is still outside of Canada |

Which is why we didnt think the policy affected her change. If her Old DLI can take her back, then, she can still send the LOA to IRCC but then, remember IRCC does routine Compliance Verification on all approved Study Permit application until the Student complete her/his study. So if she is lucky there has not been any Compliance Verification Request sent on Study Permit to her School, then she has a chance. Remember, if you want to try the Old DLI means, don't tell Embassy what transpired today. Any letter you sent, whether you got reply or not, is received by them and they use it. 1 Like |
