EasternActivist:You don't have any argument. The topic is about oil "producing" states. |
The former Governor of Anambra State has disagreed with those that said that Nigerian States are incapable of paying salaries, insisting that with prudence and rational prioritizing that each State can comfortably pay salaries and engage in other developmental activities. Obi was speaking yesterday at the 17th Annual Convention of the Igbo Youth Movement at the Nike Lake Hotel, Enugu. Obi who bagged the "Best Governor Ever", award said that those in government spent a lot of money on things that were not necessary, while running out of money for projects that would enrich the people. Using himself as an example, Obi said that when he was the Governor, that he did not keep guest houses, charter planes, travel with more people than necessary, fly Business Class, use bullet proof vehicles, among others thereby saving billions he used to offset close to 40 Billion Naira arrears of pension and gratuity and extra for effective developmental projects. "If any Governor finds it difficult to pay salaries, let him consult me and I will freely and willingly divulge the secrets to him." Earlier, the leader of the Igbo Youth Movement(IYM), Evang. Elliot Uko said his organization found Obi worthy for the award after comparative studies. Evang. Elliot said Obi did so much for Anambra State such that under him Anambra had best net work of roads; moved from among the last in external examinations to number one after his return of schools to the Churches and having invested billions on the returned schools; invested heavily in security; partnered with the Church to deliver more than other States in Health, among others. Evang. Elliot said that what was mind boggling was that he did all he could do in Anambra State without borrowing or raising of bonds and in the end, while those that borrowed and raised bonds bequeathed debts, arrears of salaries and pensions, Obi left over 75billion Naira in cash and investment for his State. Elliot who said that a restructured Nigeria would accommodate every person, called on the federal Government to obey court orders and release Nnamdi Kalu. https://m./539554826108956?view=permalink&id=1159590644105368 http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/every-state-nigeria-can-pay-salaries-obi/ |
Eboski:Apparently everyone practices islam they way he or she understands it, which in most part is a watered down islam. The quran regards them as hypocrites and lumps them with us the kafirs. All are jahannam bound ![]() |
Apparently, there wasnt any 'special warning' to the English fans in particular for this tournament. They are normally warned prior to big fifa tournaments. |

Guilty conscience. How did they know exactly what is/will be in the report? Villain crying foul bunch of murderers I don't expect Amnesty Int'l to be intimidated by the Z** Army. |
FuckTheM0ds:Holding off does not mean tolerance or cowardice. It means not 'replying' when the aggressor expects it. Yes it can hurt, but it helps us to analyse the threat and come up with a decisive action because we do not believe in trial and error; our time is money. |
FuckTheM0ds:Ofo is not a deity and it is no more a physical object; but the term is still much in usage. It is now a belief of being patient with an aggressor; holding off retaliation as long as one can. It helps us to survive and prosper anywhere on earth. Igbos are liberal by nature, so embracing modernity is not an issue here. |
Ofo in Igbo demands justice, hence you should not attack first but can defend yourself when under attack. Every fight/war an Ofo holder launches must be reasonably justified. It does not make us cowards, it rathers enhances peaceful coexistence. However, you can get economic war from us via fierce competition. We make you close shop till you beg for bread. |
Fembleez1:It's appaling my brother. If I tell you how many Saudi youths who want out but are afraid to face the consequences... |
Why is she rubbing her palms like Birdman. |
mightycrown1:Well, IPOB and MASSOB are mainly Igbos. |
geoworldedu:Wrong assertion. Jesus fought no war, Muhammad did. |
Fembleez1:I am familiar with those quotes. I already know what is in there. Funny even their most publicized Islamic scholar, Zakir Naik interpretes such bible verse as speaking of muhammad. |
