I understand you better. But my problem is still how they do it. If the materials are all sourced from a particular place and the price in that particular place increases logically they all have to increase the price. Except they are still using the materials the got before the dollar but unlike some prefer not to raise the price yet.
sure there was a price increase, it used to sell 60 naira at factories and 80 naira per bag at retail outlets, but now ten naira have been added to it. other things you should bear in mind is that the southern man is soo money conscious and would love to make excess profits even at the detriment of others.

2. the cost of doing business is more expensive in the south than in the north e.g excessive taxation from states and L.Gs , its more expensive to pay workers in the south than in the north, here local businesses Dodge taxes wells no be small

I'm in Suleja and it's ten naira here. Twenty naira is for three bags. Where then do the companies in Bida get their materials from?
Its still a fact that suleja is quite expensive and have a higher cost of living, probably due to its close proximity to Abuja. Most times prices of items placed in some cities are not actually because of the cost of the raw materials but includes both the cost of labour and the standard of living.

Lemme give u a personal example; the apartment I stay that is a parlour and a one room apartment goes for seventy k annually, this is an apartment that is well tiled and have a running water and quite spacious. In suleja am sure it would be difficult to get that price. Besides am sure in some areas in Abj this my same apartment would sell for 300 to 400 k annually, same size same structure.

These are reasons why sachet water and other commodities are expensive down south than north not just about materials. besides in some settings (e.g bida) sell at ten naira, the locals would abandon the water for you and drink borehole water
NYSC › Re: How To Write An NYSC Personal CDS Project Proposal by 9japrof(m): 8:00am On Feb 27, 2016
surveycash:
Wrong! Spent about 4m on a computer laboratory in my time. I did not spend a Kobo from my pocket.

@OP & other CDS intending corps members, don't waste your time going around begginf for money, they won't give you.

Here is what I did.

1. Spent the 1st 3 months learning their language.

2. Attended most of their festivals fully kitted including those labelled "fetish" by religious people. Learnt how to greet the chiefs and present introductory speech.

3. When I realised am getting popular. I went for the jogular. I sold the idea to few villagers friend and ask them to accompany me to see the chief.

4. On getting there, introduced myself well in their tradition to the amazement of everyone seated.

5. Spent the next 15mins on the danges of lack of proper education and need for computers to fasten the learning curve.

6. Went ahead to promise I will build them a computer lab if they are ready to see my plan.

7. Revealed the plan by telling them by asking them a question.

"Do you know that with just N5m, we can achieve the best computer lab in this LGA?

"Do you know that there are illustrious sons/daughters in this community that spend that monthly on just diesel?...lol

"Do you know that just 5 of them bringing 1m each will make this project a history?

I told them I have a written proposal for such people and they should give 50 names of such.

Right there, we arranged for a community meeting the next week. I went there to present my project with projector and powerpoint. Some of them have not seen a laptop (lol) let alone projector. They were dazed.

We set up an "education committee" at the end. This committe comprising of some of the elders followed me door-to-door to "beg" for the said money. Just one person dropped 2m. If I was the treasurer to the donation account, I would have some millions.

We completed the project and it was named 1st of its kind in the LGA that the commissioner of education came to launch it.
Nothing just happens, I don't believe in luck, I believe that for everything successful must have had a careful stratigized planning. kudos bros

Stop whining. Nobody forced him down your throat.
Yes it was idiots like you, gullible fellows like you that foisted him on innocent Nigerians, people who were so gullible that they couldn't see through their nose, people who believe in propaganda and hate to be told the facts.
When this man promised a social package of 5000 to 25 million poor Nigerians, did you for once sit down and think about the lies there(125 billion to be spent monthly on giving handouts) which is another avenue for ripping off Nigeria since there is no comprehensive database in Nigeria.

You believed him when he said he is going to stabilize oil price, who does that, even OPEC has found it difficult to stabilize oil price in recent years not to talk of the dulladino from daura.

when he said he is going to make one naira equal to one dollar, did gullible souls like you sit down and ask yourself what mechanisms is he gonna use to make that possible, no instead of that, you and your folks sheepishly believed him and no wonder our naira is going to the gutters since very soon it would reach one 1 dollar to 1000 naira bench mark.

Complete disobedience to court, lemme not talk much on that cos it is so glaring, the shittes leader who was arrested sometime last year for civil disobedience should have been released or charged to court. that is an infringement on his fundamental human rights and should be discouraged.

Buh am not a hater and as such would give the administration a plus on the issue of selection corruption crusade he ia carrying out, the whooping sums of money embezzled by the past administration is mind boggling, but more boggling is the fact that what we see more are media trials where the scumbags are already tried in the news before they are even charged to the court ( which sane country does that). Not even one of them have been sent to jail, no they have not.

Bros I just pray you accept your wrongs if you had voted this administration cos this administration is worse that Jonathan's cluelessness , at least Jonathan had. an economic blueprint, Buh what blueprint does this man have ?

this man is plain hilarious, can't he for once delegate some of this summits and conferences to someone else even if Na his deputy instead of moving from one spot to the other.

No economic blueprint, the economy is in shambles and what this man knows is to travel about wasting the same forex that they said is not available. I blame the gullible idiots that foisted this man on us, Please can someone remind this man that one of his campaign promises is making one dollar equals one naira.

We Nigerians are on a long ride. I continue to say that the current finance minister is overwhelmed with her work. Buhari should have looked for seasoned technocrats to handle this economy.

this story is vague and inaccurate, I stay in bida and the storyline is that the brothers actually went for money rituals instead of the bullet proof charm being propagated by vanguard.

The herbalist killed them, buried their corpse and even confiscated their car, repainted it and used it for personal use. One of the brothers in question works at the FMC at bida and it was pure greed that pushed em into money rituals.

For your information, for those believing that they did the bullet proof thing for protection, bida is among one of the safest places in Nigeria cos it is crime free, never heard or seen armed robbers in ma three years here.

Family › Re: Dear Mothers, Stop Bleaching Your Baby's Skin. by 9japrof(m): 5:16pm On Feb 16, 2016
Acidosis:
The people who sell these lotions and cream do not call it bleaching cream. We Nigerians are fond of calling every form of skin reaction "bleaching."

Someone mentioned funbact-A, I don't know whether there are two kinds of funbact-A, but the one I know is anti-eczema, and other skin stuffs.

That's how some Nigerians call La casera 'bleaching drink' and that it can burn one's intestine.

I've also heard people saying Coke and 'TEEM' soft drinks are meant for fat people who want to get slim.

Someone even said Coke is a stain removal thus it can burn the stomach.

Illiteracy/poor regulation is killing this country. People just throw all forms of irrational ideology at the people. Ask them whether they have scientifically tested any of these hypotheses. The answer is NO, why? A typical Nigerian will invest more on rumour than research.

If Funbact-A, an anti eczema cream, meant to clear reactions, end up bleaching your skin, why don't you report to NAFDAC?

Does it mean we know more than over 500 Pharmacists and other health professionals in NAFDAC?
honestly tell em ooo, Nigerians we sabi peddle rumours no be small.

Buh a lighter note I completely agree with the OP, all the points raised were spot on. The issue of bleaching is problematic in our society, Buh the issue of bringing kids into an already bloated case is where I dont find funny. Except in a few exception the majority of people patronizing children bleaching are still the high class in the society, making me wonder where is the exposure and education this people claim to have.

That's more than a fuc.king billion naira in two days, and more than a fuc.king 15 billion naira in 30 days. I call this free money cos they never bargained that a situation like this would occur.

Fuu.ck the issue of saving, what Nigeria needs now is hyper investment of money to ensure circulation of funds and stimulate the economy. What kind of people do we have in the economic team. I believe Nigeria has a shortfall of funds, Buh anyone saying Nigeria is broke should have his head examined.

Buhari messed up by not inviting seasoned economists into his kitchen cabinet. That finance minister of a lady would definitely be overwhelmed by the pressure of work on her table cos she has never handled anything big of this nature. Politics › Re: Budget Drama Continues As Health Minister Disowns Ministry's Budget Propasal by 9japrof(m): 7:00am On Feb 09, 2016
One thing I hate about the current government is their inability to accept their undoings. How can a government be claiming mafia on a budget they prepared, more especially in the event that they purged the civil service now replacing perceived spies of the previous government with their hench men.

A government who blame everything on the previous government, sometime ago this clown of a minister blamed GEJ for the reoccurrence of LASSA fever instead of the man to find proactive measures to stem the tide. the same clown comes out now to disown his budget, a budget that would have passed through his table before been endorsed in the 2016 budget.

The truth is that this government was never formed to improve the common man cause, it was formed to wrestle out power from the outgone government and that is why we see a lot of things happening that's are structurally wrong. These guys are a confused set of fellows without no clear economic direction, the scammers and rouges that would rip Nigerians off in this administration would make GEJ theifery a child's play.

Politics › Re: President Buhari Hails Jonathan As He Addressed The European Union Parliament by 9japrof(m): 5:46pm On Feb 03, 2016
losing an election and handing over power is no big deal, but in Africa it is a big deal, cos a lot of sitting president loves "sitting on the throne" never relinguishing power even if the electorate doesnt want them there except in an exception of a few countries in the continent. how many am I to mention, from Congo, Gabon, Cameroon , Rwanda , Burundi, CEntral African Rebuplic, Egypt, Lybia ,ivory coadt have one time in the present/past fell Into crisis or the other because their leaders refused relinguishing power when they became unpopular.

So I guess it is not far fetched that GEJ would be praised for this: relinguishing power, not seeking redress in the court(even though he had the right to exercise that right) and even congratulating the winner when it became obvious he would lose. Not withstanding the fact that he gave the umpire (INEC) a free hand in doing their thing even tho it was at his detriment.

One funny thing is how Nigerians forget so fast, how Nigerians sheepishly follow and hail politicians whose primary reason of delving into politics is to milk this country dry. GEJ may have supervised a wanton looting and misappropriation of public funds but does that make him worse that OBJ ? I don't think so

After OBJ left office, it was discovered that OBJ spent over 65 billion dollars on electricity with little or no improvement to the status quo before he met it( What about probing from there) . I have never heard EFCC investigate that case.
It was during OBJs tenure that millions of dollars were paid to the Govt for telecomunication licences, when Malaysia did theirs I heard that they used the funds to build new universities and fund their agricultural programs, how was ours spent.

OBJ is no saint and I hate it when gullible Nigerians portray him as one. Buhari who in the past claimed that Abacha was innocent of looting public funds is no saint either cos a friend and and a defender of a thief could also be referred as one. Eight long years was enough for OBJ to revamp the electricity sector, and the oil sector put together, six long years was enough for the clueless one to revamp the electricity sector Buh none of em did it and the problem continues.

Fixing infrastructure aint in Buharis agenda, just the fight of perceived enemies (sorry I mean the corruption crusade) so for now our economy can nosedive for all he bloody care

First Baba now Madam low cut, the truth is that the party was formed and won the election on lies and propaganda and as such created much expectations hanging on their shoulders; the world economy now became a biitch and made things difficult for the government.
