CHIDINMALOVE: Africa and Africans would have been much better off practicing our traditional African religions. Most of the countries that have adopted any of the foreign religions in the last 200 years have been worse off. From the decapitation of innocent souls in Mozambique to the weekly noise pollutions and continuous defrauding of followers of some these religions in Nigeria, the imported religions have mainly brought sorrow, division, poverty, depression, violence, corruption and an unproductive population in Africa.
Almost all the developed and successful countries today are practicing their own traditional religion. It is quite unfortunate that majority of those who are facing the consequences of adopting this imported religions are seeking solutions from the same religion that has been the root cause of many of their problems.
I personally believe that GOD is totally irreligious and he has given humans the freewill to communicate with him in whatever way it pleases them. The proof of this aforementioned assertion is that no single human can point to one thing that GOD has done for him based on his religious affiliation that he has not done for other people of different religions on a much larger scale.
While there is absolutely nothing wrong with these imported religions, events of the past 100 years points to the fact that this imported religions are not suitable for Africa and Africans. Africa and Africans needs to free themselves from the distorted doctrines and distorted teachings of this imported religions and embrace the undistorted teachings of the imported religions SUPERSTITION IS THE SAME... Whether imported or indigenous!> |

Simplythebest: Staying in a corporate environment has nothing to do with ur ability to make it in life and honestly collecting 40k a month as a banker the person is just wasting time cus before u know it u have spend 7 years without achieving anything. Which a time will the bank will tell u that ur service is no longer needed cus u are na old. The fear of starting a fresh is what makes people to waste their times in banking industry as a bank contract staff with salary of 40k. He need to move on cus 40k salary will never help him in the future he need to take bold steps before is too late for him. They can ask him to go at any time Not everyone who works in a bank is a banker... First question should be what he’s doing and what skills he has. > |

Franky001: Good day, my Nairaland family. I need your urgent advice on this, i have a friend that has been working with a bank close to 2 years now, on a 40k monthly salary, he is deliberating on quitting the banking job and collect a keke NAPEP on a hire purchase, which I feel is far better than the banking job. My own advice for him is to leave the banking job. please i need more advice from you guys and I might likely get advice from experienced people, that's why i am here.
Thank You. First question should be exactly what sort of “banking job” does your friend do? Because not everyone who works in a bank is doing a banking job, and I know hotel waiters who earn N40K.> |

CivilianJTF: Keke napep!!!
Hope you know what working in a bank entails. I believe you know! And I bet you wouldn't want to sacrifice a lot just to be paid #40k at the end of 30 days.
Honouring a #40k job just to be in a corporate environment is nothing but 'Pure Modern Slavery'.
With proper management and discipline, you can have an appreciable savings with your Keke Napep and from there enter in to something bigger.
White-collar job is a Scam! Only if the only value in your life is money... The knowledge, discipline, professionalism, connections, etc., cultivated in a good professional setting is invaluable. Don’t just go to a professional job to collect salary... Go there to develop your professional and interpersonal skills, and to set you up for your OWN future (even if self-employed). > |

Built2last: Minister for Justice and attorney general of the federation Abubakar Mallami while on politics today in channels television argued that Southern Governors have no right to ban open grazing in the south. He said its like Northern governors saying that the sell of spare parts is banned.
Nigerians lashed out at him for comparing murderous Fulani herdsmen who don't buy land to graze to spare parts dealers who legitimately buy or rent shops and pay taxes while doing their businesses.
It has been trending on Twitter for over a week now. For many Igbos they felt it was a an insult on hard working spare parts dealers accross the country.
Igbo leaders are openly identifying themselves as spare parts dealers and supporting the parts dealers.
Chimaroke Nnamani former governor of Enugu state has declared himself the president of the spare parts dealers, Dr Joe Abbah and many Igbos are identifying with them.

Bluntemperor: Well done governor Sanwo-Olu! However, let's draw your attention to not so good side and we expect you to personally visit the so mentioned road yourself to confirm the true positions of things: -Why is BRT and the Services Lane between Ojota- Mile 12 have not been completed after a year now? Was the purpose not to reduced the heavy traffic on that road? We passed through these roads every week, yet this is not the way this Julius Berger would behave in their Country! - The Agric--Ishawo Road under Ikorodu is nothing to write home about and what Percentage of this road have been completed?.This Road is going to link Arepo,it was earmarked for construction by the former regime,so how many years would it be completed?. Besides, this area is prone to flood,I think it is generally agreed that Concrete Road should be made more now in Lagos Roads,as standards defined by Dangote Construction of Apapa- Ojodu- Berger! -The Itamaga-Ijede Road too should be completed timely. What the people in Elepe Area are saying is that the Road will stop half- Way to Ijede but will not get to IjedeTown! Please Sir,let this Road Construction reach the Ijede town and for the benefits of the Ijede People. Adjacent to Ijede Road is Gberigbe-Road to Imota is an eyesore, that without upgrading this road, the Lagos Rice Mills Production will be in jeopardy. We implored the Governor and his good team to award this particular road in order to reduce the daily Stressful situations that People are going through in this Area. God bless our Governor- Sanwo-Olu. God bless Lagos State. Julius Berger is a NIGERIAN company... So it’s “behaving: like it would in its country! > |

obynzo: Bros cool down with this image laundering if Lagos was efficiently run it is not suppose to have high debts it's IGR should have outstripped it's federal allocation but it's IGR is still less than 50% of it's federal allocation despite it's potential as the largest economy also you do not rate a governor based on roads dude that is his primary responsibility that is why we keep celebrating mediocrity. If we want to rate Sanwo Olu( aka pointus pilate) the we need data as to how many jobs month on month since he took over has he created, then we need to evaluate his welfare policies as to how it has impacted the lives of residents. We should for once stop celebrating mediocrity and demand for the best from all our governors. These people doing praise singing and image laundering on nairaland would go in the privacy of their homes and start lamenting how these leaders have finished us, but for a plate of porridge won't mind being sell outs with eye service. Eh...Lagos’ IGR far outstrips it’s federal allocation... It’s 2020 IGR is N418b while it’s 2020 FAAC allocation was N115b (see charts below). Meanwhile, debt is NOT a bad source of investible capital (the US is the world’s biggest debtor), so long as it’s sustainable... Lagos’ debt ratio is LESS than 18 percent of revenue, while in contrast the federal government’s debt breached 99% last year! >
