Hmmmm, like seriously? "themed" and not "teamed"? It is well.
Yes, it's THEMED!
The THEME of the class's attire was Yoruba trad.

It's NOT "teamed"...
And frankly, basic English is not that difficult to grasp. SMH

uuzba:
The only problem with bicycle is where to park it safety.
In China, they did a mass bicycle scheme. One type of heavy government bicycle. You rent it for the day. Return it and collect your money. But at the end, people found it difficult to park the bikes properly and just started dumping them untop of each other. Government now stopped that scheme.
The story is up on YouTube.
UK find it difficult not ride bike. Americans find it difficult also. Only Nederland use bicycles. And I think Belgium as well.
You are largely correct (and, btw, contrary to the other commenter, it's not just "overbloated African ego" - and I must confess that I cringe when Africans indulge in these sorts of casual quasi-racist remarks). In many parts of the world, it is difficult to wean people from the car culture primarily because most modern urban areas are anchored on road transportation infrastructure. Even in China, where most of the adult citizenry grew up primarily on bicycle transportation up until just a few decades ago, road transportation is now the primary means of transportation (albeit they have also embarked on massive rail transportation investment). In the US, getting a license and owning a car is basically a Right of Passage to adulthood.

To be sincere.... Bicycle should be encouraged in Lagos.
Bacteriologist:
Good initiative but will the overbloated African ego in us allow us to come to terms with a potentially viable solution to traffic problems in Lagos? Everyone wants to own cars and blast hot loud stereo music to show off to their neighbours.

Lagos is a really small town and biking around will not be as cumbersome as it is in the UK or Netherlands for example.

The attached image is me riding from Ikotun-Egbe to Eko-Bridge on a cold morning. 1hr 30mins. Even in the afternoon the time would be roughly the same. Can't say the same for a car in the afternoon.
The new road leading to the new Bariga Waterfront Jetty (one of the last roads commissioned by Ambode) has a bicycle lane...

However, years ago when the late Ojo Maduekwe tried to popularize a bicycle-riding culture in Abuja (he was then Transportation Minister under President Obasanjo), he was relentlessly mocked by large sections of the Nigerian media, and he was almost knocked down riding a bicycle to work as a Minister, the derision grew even louder.

. Oga what is wrong is wrong, you can't defend it .....our educational system needs to be upgraded, right from the basic to the advance level, that's the major reason we continue producing job seekers and not job creators..
Our educational system is periodically upgraded...
The problem is less the "system" but more the PEOPLE operating it.

For the record, over the past couple of years Nigeria has been developing an educational curriculum that emphasizes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Nigeria is developing that curriculum with the support of global players like MIT, Cisco, IBM and Oracle, a nationwide curriculum that incorporates 21st century STEAM thinking: coding, design skills, digital arts, robotics, machine learning, and so on.

At least Nigerian police should respect the corpse by putting him in a body bag. See how they dumped his body in their notorious hilux.

But did he respect those he kidnapped or the bodies of those they killed? Animals should be treated as such.

The problem of Nigerians is considering ethnic interest above national interest, Nigeria government must up hold justice at home without emotions of tribalism and religion by showing the world that we had equity in political freedom and access to equal justice by punishing the culprits of the scamed contract according to law of land, then the world will take us serious.
Can this happened in China, US, UK and other sane nations and those involved won't be in jail now?
Until when we're serious positively, our country can be great.
Perhaps the government itself should lead by example.... undecided

Will you shut up.

You hypocrites pull up philosophy as soon as commonsense and decency fails you.

Anyone with 2 brain cells can tell this young lady is the offspring of highly successful people.

Anywhere on this God green earth, she would wear Gucci because she has always been able to afford it..

From America to Zimbabwe, having a father with her profile guarantees her a quality of life people should aspire to.

If failures would not cease to hate on a child mockery might put shame to their idiocy.

Hypocrite.
Ironic you bring up “common sense and decency” since anyone who crudely resorts to insults for lack of substance clearly lacks both! undecided

Meanwhile, while I get that English is not your first language, basic comprehension in Nigeria’s “official” language should be the minimum expected of those who elect to participate in a public discourse conducted in English. Accordingly, please try to grasp the import of the premise “without prejudice to this girl” before you embarrass yourself (and probably your draught-playing parents) any further. SMH.

Nobody knew Tacha has body odour allegedly until she got into big brother. Never overrate these so called slay queens until you come into their closets. The odour from their personal struggles can choke anyone. Beyond the bliss and bing's is a broken woman seeking to redefine the very essence of her existence.

One of the worst things to happen to a woman is to become successful on social media, with a large following, and let it get to her head to the point you fail to make a REAL LIFE. No husband, No kids, No real business. Just social media notoriety.

Richdad
Dude, she is a radio OAP, an author (even if it's just one book), a multiple brand ambassador, and has a line of luxury bags - apart from being a media influencer (which brings in cash).

Some of the Nigerian men on this thread seem pissed that she doesn't have to depend on some fat-bellied (and probably abusive) Nigerian man for her esteem, identity or livelihood!

Wow! This is utterly disappointing!!! I used to think highly of your opinions. So you think a woman’s worth lies in her getting married and having kids? You’re a typical Nigerian who has been conditioned to believe that a woman is incomplete until she’s married and had kids even if she is miserable in the marriage. Toke hs a job and a brand.
The sexism and crude misogyny of most Nigerian men is never far from the surface....

To be the child of a professor of Law, who is also a senior advocate, former attorney general of a state, and presently the vice president, is a blessing.

The only problem is that hermits and low-lifes, whose parents spent all their days playing draught under the mango tree would always despise you.
Without prejudice to this girl....

Dude, in life, it's NOT where you start (which you have no control of) but where you end up...
