Even during my own graduation there was one of the teachers present There that I didn't like (Afterall it's not every of your teachers that you will like in school) she shook my hands and smiled congratulated me with a handshake,I shook her hands and we exchanged pleantries on stage. Guess what.when I came to request for my certificate, she was instrumental in helping me get my certificate without time wasting or stress that others will have to go through.she spoke to her sister on phone who happened to be in charge of that department (exams and records) and the needful was done.today we're friends so in this life there are no permanent friends or enemies what we have is a permanent interest.

SIRTee15: That's a very bad attitude. Even if it's condoned in so called sane countries, I will never support such in Nigeria. That's freedom of whatever taken too far.
And for your info, attitude is a very big deal in western nations. Bad attitude at work place can ruin your career. African American women are despised by white men because of their so called ratchet attitude. And so you think such racist attitudes should be emulated?! In the instant case, you cannot tell whether her so-called “attitude” is good or bad, without the benefit of a backstory (which none of us here have). Nonetheless, do you think (for example) that US students who protested against Apartheid at commencement (graduation) ceremonies in the 1990 (or 1980s) had “a very bad attitude” and should have been penalized? CHANGE comes from disruption, not from uniformity. Your mindset epitomizes why Nigeria will likely never change. > |

BigBrother9ja: SHE MUST BE VERY STUPID
SCHOOL IS NOT ALL ABOUT ACADEMIC LEARNING. IT ALSO INCLUDES MORAL LEARNING AND CHARACTER.
TRY THAT IN UNILAG OR MANY OTHER SCHOOLS IN NIGERIA AND SEE YOUR CERTIFICATE WITHDRAWN FOR LIFE. The very least that will happen is them dealing with you when you come to get your transcript.
USELESS STUPID CHILD THAT LACKS HOME TRAINING.
IT CAN ONLY BE A GIRL.

However, for those misguidedly co-signing with you… This is why so many Nigerians follow their corrupt and rapacious rulers like SHEEP.
With the caveat that none of us really know the backstory here, folks like you would’ve been berating all those students who protested Apartheid at US/UK universities by turning their backs at graduation or walking out on speakers at universities.> |

If found unworthy in character ..even, if you have graduated, IT CAN BE WITHDRAWN First, it’s an ACADEMIC degree… She’s not passing out of prison before the parole board.
Nonetheless, refusing a hand shake is NOT a flaw in character… On the contrary, sticking to one’s beliefs is a character strength.
The goal of education is NOT to breed sheep and a herd mentality… On the contrary, real education encourages INDEPENDENT thought.

Urheadmaster: Lagos state government has to provide another alternative for the affected okada riders otherwise this is just the beginning Why should Lagos taxpayers pay for “alternatives” for people, many of whom came from as far as Niger Republic, Chad, Benin Rep, and Cameroon, as well as from other states? Has Lagos government provided “alternatives” for all other Lagosians?!
There are “alternatives” in other places where Okada remains legal (and arguably more needed in the absence of BRT, high-capacity buses, Last Mile buses, Danfo, water ferries, and soon Light Rail), and even more “alternatives” in agriculture. In a nation struggling to adequately feed itself, there’s no reason why able-bodied folks cannot find solid “alternatives”. SMH> |
