Tonypens48: The circle continues.
They all deliberately kept ASUU on strike in order to keep the circle continue easily for their children.
If it continue like this, the son of nobody can never be somebody.
Try and build yourself and add value to become somebody tomorrow else. Those people were “nobodies” not that long ago, before they became “somebodies”… There are infinitely more slots not garnered by these progeny, and politics is NOT the only way to become “somebody”! While I myself have certain reservations about political inheritance… I nonetheless consider these sorts of discussions as reflective of the Nigerian mentality to use “politics” to source wealth. PS: Meanwhile, nobody “kept” ASUU on strike… ASUU is no less selfish than the politicians, striking over whether their salaries should be on IPPIS. SMH > |

Britishcoins: Missed priority... Will renaming it add value to already messed up Nigeria education sector.. Will it stop ASSU STRIKE. I do pity youths who puts all their energy to attend education in Nigeria with hope of getting job...
I will advice people to learn skills and attend to education later...
I am waiting for APC to finish their own primary election and denied South Eastern candidates...
That is when I will support every actualization of Biafra.. Nigeria is messed up... Yes, if renaming it will attract an endowment… The best universities are funded by endowments (not government). Meanwhile, “attending education” (as you put it) should NOT be just about “getting job”… The real value of education is to be EDUCATED, and the possibilities a truly educated mind is LIMITLESS! > |

mhmsadyq: I thought they said the streets of southern Nigeria is flowing with milk and honey.
What about a stampede for food, leading to the death of people? Pymetrics: If this were to happen in the North, all these self acclaimed rich southern people would start attaching poverty to Northerners. See as poverty make them come out massively for charity food. Poverty is in everywhere in Nigeria, but the media controlled South will shout as if Northerners are the only beneficiary of poverty. False equivalency… Poverty is ENDEMIC in the North (90+% rate in some states), while episodic in much of the South.
In fact, if you split Nigeria today (and for the record, I am AGAINST splitting Nigeria)… Southern Nigeria will immediately become a MIDDLE INCOME nation, with much higher HDI stats.> |

It has less to do with Buhari but more to do with who we are as citizens. Kpom! achi4u: Umuahi will surely perform better than any other candidates but will Nigeria ever vote for him?
Ebonyi state is a case study of how to develop a City/country. Umahi in Ebonyi State is a case study on how NOT to develop a state…Development is about PEOPLE, not about building flyovers for a population that doesn’t need it. Dude is busy building flyovers in a city/state where vehicular congestion is hardly a problem (doubt there was even a traffic study) and a large percentage of the population are rural and ride around on bicycles and “Muhammad Buhari presidential lodge” and “presidential lounge” as well as “Aisha Buhari First Lady’s Office” while Ebonyi is the ONLY educationally-disadvantaged state in the SE and is mired near the bottom of Nigeria’s human development index (that is, at the bottom of an index that is at the bottom of the global index). Building a shopping mall that is the province of the private sector (if there’s actually market demand for one) and a huge “university teaching hospital” (named after himself, no less) which is all building and NO teaching - because the state does NOT have the human intellectual resources (ie, medical professors, lecturers and professionals) to operate such an institution. And the clown keeps blathering on about how this carbuncle will stem medical tourism as if Nigerians going abroad for medical treatment were going to admire big buildings. Sadly, flyovers have become to Nigerians what shiny trinkets were to our forefathers deceitfully lured into slavery and servitude. > |

Democracy is a facade! First, they are merely determining the fate of their own party… The rest of us are at liberty to VETO their determination at the polls.
Nonetheless, democracy is a REPRESENTATIVE form of government… Accordingly, “delegates” by definition are DELEGATED by a greater number.> |
