raphrulz:Thank you. 7/10 na better mark. Honestly, I thank God I started the certification process while I was waiting. I joined a WhatsApp study with some people in Canada who were also writing the exam, and they really helped me with resources. At a point I wanted to give up and wait till I get there before commencing the certification process as their legislation were very foreign to me, but am glad I did not. |
PPR don show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all my AVO brethren, I dedicate this PPR to you!!! One thing I have learnt in this PR journey is that procrastination is very costly. Just do it now!! A brief summary of my timeline: Category: FSW (PNP) AOR: May 31, 2018 IP2: Jan 17, 2019 PPR: Feb 06, 2019 @ 9:58am VO: Accra Full details below: ECA & IELTS I started this journey in 2017, the year when scores dipped to 419. After checking my scores via CRS calculator online and coming to 437, I started the ECA process in May 2017. The plan was to evaluate my B.Sc and Master degree with IQAS. Unfortunately, I did not know then that you could evaluate only the Master degree. I requested for my Master degree transcript and it got to IQAS in about three weeks but my Bsc transcript took almost 5 months to get to IQAS (that one na another long story. ASUU strike et al). I saw IQAS go from processing files in less than a month , to almost 3 months while I was still waiting for Bsc to get there. Anyways, I finally got my ECA finalized in Jan 2018. In the meantime, while I waited for my credentials to be evaluated, I prepared and wrote the IELTS exam in September 2017 and aced it the first time. By the time my ECA and IELTS were ready for me to create an online profile in Jan 2018, scores had soared. 437 was no longer enough to get me a direct ITA. Nomination from Ontario: As God would have it, I got NOI from Ontario in Feb 2018. Less than one week after I received the NOI, I celebrated my Birthday and my score went down to 432. I nearly refused the NOI from Ontario cos I believed scores would come down in 2018 and I wasn't willing to spend cad $1,500 for the processing fee. Thank God I listened to sound advise and accepted. I got nomination from Ontario in May 2018 and got ITA in the next draw. The required docs for submission were already available as the same docs were used for OINP. I submitted my application May 31, 2018. Post ITA: Am an HR professional and since my destination is Ontario, I wrote to the HR governing body (HRPA) and started the process of getting certified while I waited for PPR. Never knew I would finish the whole process and PPR would still not have come, all thanks to AVO. I had to write series of exams in Accra as the HR exams are not written here in Nigeria. I wrote the first exam in Nov 2018, passed and was cleared to write the final exam in Jan 2019 (I am awaiting the result). It was a great distraction as AVO no just send us at all. We all know the AVO story so will not bore you. Anyways, After more than 8 months of waiting I saw my file move to IP2 on 17 Jan, 2019 and PPR came Feb 06, 2019. To everyone still waiting for their files to be approved and especially to AVO members, hold on, It's on the way. God Bless! |
Homguy:It's the same. |
wasseynewest:I know @Zutlin has given a commendable response to the above message but will like to add to it. You may never understand the reason for this petition if your file is not sitting in AVO for more than 6months to 1year, without it being touched. And trust me, it has nothing to do with the file being complex or complicated, they are not just being processed in Accra for now for reasons best known to them. I am almost 8 months post AOR and the last GCMS notes I ordered showed that eligibility, criminality and Security had not been initiated @ Accra. My file was transferred directly form CIO to Accra for processing but it has not been worked on till date. My AOR is May 2018. I had friends with whom I started this journey with, some submitted before me while a majority of them I submitted way before them but they are all now settled in Canada because they were lucky to have their files processed somewhere else besides Accra. So this petition is to bring awareness to those in charge that either Accra does not have the resources to handle the process or they are deliberately not working on them. But above all, this petition (not a fight, as one poster put it) is not just for us whose files are currently in Accra but for those who will receive ITA very soon. If we win this, then you can be rest assured that you may not have to go through this unending wait from Accra or better still, your file will not be sent to Accra. Cheers! |
MMOV:It is definitely not an isolated case, join the club!!! I am May AOR and nothing started, as at the last time I confirmed. |
SkyWalk12:Since you were issued PPR, I don't think AVO has released any other. We hope and pray to see movement in January from AVO!! For those who just received ITA, Pray that your file is not sent to AVO o! AVO are just joy killers!!!!!! |
codebrew85:As strange as it seems, New Dehli VO seem to be sending PPR to files that have been approved so sending a mail to them could produce result. Goodluck!! |
itumkay:With your age, single status, MSC and a CLB 10, you should be looking at a score of 443. So yes, you do have a chance but also depends on your next birthday. you can verify this yourself using the CRS calculator. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. |
Ifeoma77:With his age, single status, MSC and a CLB 10, he should be looking at a score of 443. He doesn't even need TEF. SO please the poster has the opportunity. |
SkyWalk12:Congrats dear, christmas came early indeed! Go and prosper in your new home! |
Bukzie:You can send a mail to Accra Visa Office using the below e-mail address: accra.immigration@international.gc.ca Goodluck! |
mbakweich:Where is your file located (VO)? As that can tell you a lot about the delay. |
SkyWalk12:Oh Yes! We have not come this far to have AVO become a barrier. I believe we may see some movement from AVO from December onwards. |
Zutlin:You are definitely not alone. AVO cannot be silent forever, very soon they will budge. Just hold on and continue to stay strong. And If your file is currently not in AVO, you may never understand how frustrating it can get. |
Onedimple:Lol! AVO has refused to budge until the set time. When that time is, no one knows. So just relax and occupy yourself doing something, else AVO will give one high BP. |
Amakyzuu:Congratulations!! |
Ifeoma77:Does WES evaluate CIPM? Please confirm. |
SkyWalk12:They are basically not attending to anyone. How can 100+ people with Accra as VO, and none can boost of PPR? And majority of people who ordered GCMS notes saw the same things: eligibility, Criminality and Security not started. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to have his or her file transferred to AVO. |
SkyWalk12:There is something definitely wrong with Accra VO. As at 2 months back, their response to inquiries was "Your application is in queue for review. Expect to hear from us late 2018 / early 2019" but now their response to queries sent recently is "Your application is in queue for review. Expect to hear from us early 2019". So they are making it clear that they do not intend to issue PPR this year, even though assessment has been passed. What are they actually doing? And why are they intentionally trying to frustrate people? |
What mail are you referring to? Shinningqueen31: |
You are not alone! AOR is also May, LVO is Accra and still in IP1 stage. Checked on immitracker and Accra seem to have gone to sleep. Une16: |
Hi everyone, Is there any one who can give me advise and recommendations with regards to obtaining the Ontario HR certification (CHRL). I am an HR professional and my PR application is currently In Progress (1) stage. I am hoping to write the HR certification exam here in Nigeria before leaving for Canada, but it has been a bit challenging. Are there HR professionals in the house who have gone this route and can give me some pointers? |
I usually don't get involved in such thread but had a strong inclination to get involved in this one believing that one or two people would learn something from this. I would take the issue of tithing from two angles; First of all, am a faithful tither and do not need to be cajoled to pay my tithe. I believe we've all been at a point in our lives when we asked ourselves what was the necessity of tithing. Naturally, humans are selfish and do not want to release thier hard earned money. So I prayed and asked God to help me and this is what he told me. Gen. 1v 29: Everything that has the ability to multiply has a seed in it for continuity. Every fruit has a seed in it, you eat the fruit and you sow the seed. Now I ask, does money have the ability to multiply? If your answer is yes, then there's a seed in it. The 10% is the seed while the 90% is the fruit. Eat the fruit (90%), but sow the seed (10%]. The more you eat your tithe, you are eating into your future. Now, this was a personal revelation I received from God and it's been working for me. Secondly, Lev.18v24-26: The Levites (PRIESTS) where never given an inheritance among the children of isreal, instead, the tithes of all isreal where given to the Levites to inherit for the furtherance of God's work. They were meant to concentrate on service to God. Likewise, your tithe is meant for the furtherance of the gospel. For example, at the end of the month, you pay tax to the govt for the dev. of the nation. Likewise, you pay your tithe for the furtherance of the gospel. Let me ask, what do you think will happen of all Christians no longer pay tithes and bring their offerings? Can't remember the exact place in the Bible, but the Levites abandoned the work of God and went to make other sources of livelihood. My Pastor who is a qualified lawyer would probably dust his wig and go into full employment. The endpoint is that the churches will die slowly and that is the plot of the enemy.. With this, I rest my case. |
Dansy: U dont have problem, let me advice u. I graduated in 2001 and i got a job in 2007. U can imagine, i stayed at home for five years.I wasted five years doing nothing. Pls, dont waste away, u can learn furniture, tailoring etc with ur education,ur packaging will be different. The education u have will definitely give u upper hand. A word is enough for the wise. U must know that going to higher institution, don't guarantee white collar jobI agree with you completely. we hope that the poster gets a job next year but what if a job does not come in 2013? Time waits for no man so you will have to be creative, but shame aside and work, i.e create work. i have a friend (female) who did not have a job and needed to feed daily of course. she decided to start selling fruits. she would buy fruits, cut into transparent plastics and sell. it was a success. she cannot even keep up with the demand. All am saying is that we are all so focused on white collar jobs. There is so much we can do to create jobs for ourselves. Like i said earlier, time waits for no man. And please do not go into anything illegal, it's not worth it. |
Goldieluks: The Uni-port killing is too barbaric to be compared to that of MUBI, na( not shutting out the fact that the MUBI killing is also wrong)The difference between the MUBI and Aluu killing is that the Aluu killing had a video to go with it. if there was no video, it would not have gathered this much attention. The MUBI killing was also terrible. |
kalufelix: even at dat. It §till doesn't sound. Normal. 1,2,3,4 guys jst woke. up b4 5am and planned to go to a debtors houseplease if you want to catch a debtor that has been evading you, what time would you suggest one goes? Truly i agree they may not have made the best move (as expected of guys their age), but for whatever reason they went there, they did not deserve to die like that. |
Sometimes i wonder where you guys get these naija babes you are always criticizing. Probably knocking on the wrong doors. i guess you attract what you are. There are truly some good girls out there and they ain't few, you guys ain't just looking properly. |
Most ladies know this as truth but would rather believe a lie. |
I be lawyer,trouble na my work. |
But have you not noticed that Nigerians do not actually catch the "action" but we always get to see an aftermath. why is that so? |
