CrimeRe: Canadian Judge Calls Nigerian Police ‘evil Force’, Denies Permanent Residency by abbey621(m): 9:13pm On Jul 12, 2025
Foolish judgment but at the same time can't blame the judge, na see finish cause am. The asylum seeker should have gone to court with cases on Canadian policemen accused of bribery, bruatlity or excessive force and asked the judge, are these peopel inadmissable as well? By letter of the law, a crime committed by one does not implicate all, otherwise every police in advanced countries would be criminals!

FamilyRe: How To Know That Your Parents Failed Or Never Loved You From Day 1 by abbey621(m):
If we asked the pops now, him go talk say he paid for his schooling, gave him pocket money throughout, he fed and housed him as a child all while struggling on a salary of less than 50k per month.

If you asked the mother, she would say things were tough and she had to sell in the market to support the household.

If they asked you, how many times since you crossed age 16 have you brought income to the houshold, you go open mouth and say but I was a child na. If them asked you how many times have you checked up on your papa to know if he was sick or suffering from depression, you go talk say you have your own problems.

Your parents might not have shown you the modern day definition of love but they could have easily flushed you down the toilet or abandoned you at the orphange, you're even lucky your papa did not abandon you and your mama thinking his life would be so much better without responsibilities. All in all, move the f*ck on man, you're an adult now, learn from it and build your own family filled with love!

FamilyRe: Kano Hisbah Annuls Marriage Of Young Couple For Violating Sharia Laws by abbey621(m): 12:52am On Jul 06, 2025
free2ryhme:
You’re sidestepping the real issue. Whether Hisbah processes it through the Sharia court or not, they remain the enforcers selectively targeting the poor, while elite families conveniently avoid such scrutiny, hardly speculation when patterns are so obvious.

As for examples, the absence of public scandals doesn’t prove moral purity; it often reflects carefully protected reputations and power dynamics that keep such matters buried. Your argument assumes silence equals virtue, which is hardly convincing.
Again you're arguing with yourself......I specifically stated I'm not arguing the moral angle but legality....Why do you insist on bringing up morality? Please if you're not going to listen, stop wasting my time.....PEACE!
FamilyRe: Kano Hisbah Annuls Marriage Of Young Couple For Violating Sharia Laws by abbey621(m): 11:45pm On Jul 05, 2025
free2ryhme:
Applying common sense also means recognizing selective enforcement. You admit there’s no single case involving the children of powerful Northerners, which precisely proves my point: Hisbah’s zeal is reserved for the poor.

As for annulments, the issue isn’t whether the court signs off but who initiates and drives these cases, often under dubious pressure. That’s where Hisbah comes in, conveniently avoiding high-profile families.

If your claim is that wealthy heirs never marry without parental consent, that’s a stretch, power simply shields their stories from headlines. Lack of public examples doesn’t equal absence of reality.
Again I'm not here to litigate the morality of this but the actual legality, annulment is an actual legal document, Hisbah clearly did not initiate this, the initiators are the parents and Hisbah must still process it through Sharia court in order to get the actual annulment document.

Further, if you have examples of children of the Northern elites marrying without parental consent please share. Any other thing is just mere speculation! Sounds like you can neither prove or disprove the theory hence the argument lacks merit!
FamilyRe: Kano Hisbah Annuls Marriage Of Young Couple For Violating Sharia Laws by abbey621(m): 11:06pm On Jul 05, 2025
free2ryhme:
Your response only exposes your bias. Kindly point out exactly where in the initial post it says the Sharia court itself annulled the marriage, because it doesn’t. Claiming the article is misleading without evidence only highlights your own ignorance and emotional reasoning.

This actually reinforces my original point: Hisbah’s selective zeal often targets the poor, while wealthy northerners are rarely subjected to such interventions. If you’re so confident, produce a case where Hisbah or even the Sharia courts have annulled the marriage of a powerful family. Until then, your argument remains purely sentimental.
Why don't we apply common sense here, is it police that would annul a marriage or the court? Police can only serve you the annulment papers but it is the actual court that issues the ruling. The article's failure to clarify this is what I'm pointing out not the moral justification.

Next, why would powerful people ridicule themselves this way? Sons and daughters of powerful people are so concerned about their inheritance they do not dare disobey their parents. You'll never see the children of powerful Northern people marrying someone without parental consent hence there's no case to present. If you have an example please share, as far as I know, not one single example exists!
FamilyRe: Kano Hisbah Annuls Marriage Of Young Couple For Violating Sharia Laws by abbey621(m): 10:08pm On Jul 05, 2025
free2ryhme:
Your response only underscores how misguided your argument is. Is it truly Hisbah’s role to annul a marriage, even without proper authorization from both sets of parents? Which law or act establishing Hisbah empowers it to dissolve weddings?

This is precisely why ignorance and illiteracy persist in the North, blind acceptance without questioning legality or due process.

Simply put: it’s one thing to honor an invitation, it’s another to overstep legal bounds. Understanding that difference is critical.
You're being mischievous! Hisbah is the enforcement arm of the Sharia court of appeals in the North. Sharia was formally recognized by then OBJ government and is very much legal in the North. The article is actually a bit misleading, it was not Hisbah but the Sharia court itself that did the annulment!

But they want to try this in civil court
Making the burden of proof less and the defendant vulnerable

Everyone will be right to be alarmed

Nigerian MAGA MUGUs go too learn lesson lmaoo
That's not how the U.S justice system works, civil in this case only means no criminal punishment not that the evidence/burden of proof should be lessened, remmeber U.S courts operates on precedents. Even civil court cases can be appealed and then ultimately end up in Supreme court which requires that higher burden of proof.
TravelRe: US To Revoke Citizenship Of 25 Million Naturalised Immigrants by abbey621(m): 2:11pm On Jul 01, 2025
CommonSense1967:
Obviously, you are ignorant of the laws. Anyone can be stripped of their Naturalization citizenship especially if they find out any small lie, false representation or omission in your application. It already a known public information that Elon was working in the US when he didn't have the right to.
The US govt Can always find any excuse to strip you of your citizenship if they really wanted to.
Almost everyone has a small omission, false representation or lie in their application. If the US govt want to deal with you, they will find one small mistake and pounce on it to get you out.
No one is perfect, I bet whoever filed for you probably lied or omitted so pertinent info in your application.
The only safe ones are the US naturally born citizens. Anyone else is living on a prayer with TRAMP.
You're wrong! Trump already tried this in his first term and lost about 70% of the cases, it is one thing to denaturalize, it is another to actually win in court. The court prioritizes terrorism and criminal elements over minor ommissions like you just stated and in fact in the case of Costello v. INS, 376 U.S. 120 (1964), the Supreme court affirmed that even as a naturalized citizen if you commit minor crimes, you cannot be deported or denaturalized!

Further, read below for the burden of proof required for actual denaturalization granted by the court, see the part where it says the evidence must exceed those used in criminal cases? This let's you know that simple ommissions is not the ball game here!

The court cannot set aside a grant of citizenship “upon a bare preponderance of evidence which
leaves the issue in doubt.’” Schneiderman v. United States, 320 U.S. 118, 125 (1943). The evidence
must be “unequivocal,” meaning “proof that admits of no doubt, a burden approximating, if not
-10-
exceeding, that used in criminal cases.” Addington v. Texas, 441 U.S. 418, 432 (1979). “[W]hen the
attack is made long after the time when the certificate of citizenship was granted and the citizen has
meanwhile met his obligations and has committed no act of lawlessness” the courts must “scrutinize
the record with the utmost care.” Nowak v. United States, 356 U.S. 660, 663 (1958); see Maisenberg
v. United States, 356 U.S. 670, 673 (expressing grave doubts about the reliability of testimony about
“events of many years before” of a “highly equivocal nature”).

EducationRe: Why Exactly Are We Going To School When We Know There Are No Jobs - Lady Asks by abbey621(m):
Education is not the problem, the problem is thinking education automatically means employment......THIS IS A HUUUUUUUGE FALLACY! For 9ja, you must be able to wear many hats, the jobs are very limited so you must not only be a candidate but a problem solver. The search for a job begins while in school, develop those skills outside of the textbook, develop your brand, have a strong linkedin profile and gain experience through internship or something similar.

Be honest with yourself, how many of the theories wey dem teach you for class is actually applicable to the current 9ja job market......VERY VERY LOW! See you trying to trivialize hearing and vision problem as if you know the challenges people with these problems face. Why not try have a vision or hearing problem first before you can make a better judgement whether or not it is enough reason to terminate a pregnancy.
For one, people with this kind of problem are automatically screened out of most jobs, including government jobs. Also, they find it hard to find love. And mind you, this is just two of their numerous challenges that I have decided to highlight, but I bet you didn't think this deeply (or don't care at all since you aren't the one affected) before name calling others as being mad and lacking in critical thinking.
You're spewing nonsense and your lack of exposure shows, even people who are fully healthy are screened out of most jobs. If we kpaied everyone with vision and hearing problems some of the greatest people in history would not exist.....Do not let your logical ineptitude speak as facts! Life is full of challenges yet we don't cut off our heads for headaches......BE WISE!
