Abuja is not a state it's the federal capital territory hence why it doesn't have a governor but minister.....this case is very simple

Washington D.C does not have a governor but when it comes to U.S national elections it still has a say just like the other 50 states. Why would any right thinking person believe the Constitution writers would allow ONE ENTITY to hold the rest of the federation ransom?

1. Agbero are nice but mostly nice to the female folks

2. Most of those people praising Abgero are either Yoruba people or APC supporters

Name an encounter you've ever had with an agbero? Abi you be bus driver/conductor?

The average Lagosian will never have a fight or argument with agbero, most of their hoodlum activities is between them and the bus driver or conductor but because of election, children of hate dey use that as propaganda.

who are the "we all" that know?

based on your research, what was tinubus pay package at Arthur Anderson and Deloitte back in the 80s and how did it all translate to millions?

are you not aware that asking questions is an integral part and the foundation of research or how else is research carried out? pls let me know.

how did you know that Tinubu had millions in his accounts? what was his account balance before the $460k forfeiture?

can you educate others when you havent educated yourself?

meanwhile, you are yet to answer the following.

Can you show me the criticism you referring to?

Since you have read the court documents, then you shouldn't have any issues answering the questions I asked

Which private practice did Tinubu run as an accountant while he was still an employee and when did this happen?

Can you tell us the name of the private practice and the name of the company he was working with at the time?

Who were these his "numerous clients" he was servicing while still working as an employee?

Guy I already informed you of your habit of regurgitation, I won't answer anymore of your repeated jargon....Feel free to continue arguing with your phone.....PEACE!

No my guy, some questions are nothing but the traits of laziness, you have two eyes and hands like myself, why can't you research it yourself? If you took the time to do that, you would know he had millions overall from those accounts, we all know he worked for Arthur Anderson and Deloitte back in the 80s, we all know that he had at least one business account that funds not from his employment were deposited into, these are facts and not disputable, so what's your problem?

Again, I do not work for Tinubu, I only read the details of the case and did some basic research, so spare me your regurgitation! As for your criticism you're well known on Nairaland for it, no dey disguise, even your regurgitation of asking the same questions over and over again till you're ignored is becoming stale grin grin

I'm not referring specifically to only you but to all the critics on this thread who have called him a drug baron in the past! Furthermore I already provided you with the business name on the checking account where the funds were seized, the fact that such an account exist is enough evidence that he was not just a mere employee. You are asking for proof of numerous client isn't that silly? Out of millions in his accounts only 460k was forfeited, does that not show you that not all his clients could be successfully traced to illegal activities? Does that not show you that he dealt with other clients aside those implicated? Again, your failure to do proper research is getting the best of you, I know what you want, a useless back and forth shouting match but I won't give you that satisfaction, facts are facts my nigga, enough of this free education, you want more, you've got to pay!

Dude, the 2 scenarios you presented NEVER matched Tinubu's case.

Tinubu was not doing buying and selling then.
Tinubu was not a banker, talkless, an investment banker then.
He was a salaried employee of a company then, according to his claims.
No salaried employee would watch millions of dollars paid into his bank account by anybody else without knowing the source of the money. Tinubu was hiding money in his bank account on behalf of drug trafficking cartels.

Tinubu was an accountant and also ran his own private practice in which he handled money from numerous clients, abi dem tell you say most of the money was in a personal bank account? He was not just a salaried employee, if you don't know what you're talking about seek enlightenment instead of arguing blindly. You're making it seem that those of us in the USA are incapable of being workers and entrepreneurs at the same time. This myopic thinking is why you critics cannot decide if he's a drug baron or person who hides money for the cartels......It's pathetic & plain elementary grin grin grin

But my 'conversation' with you didn't start with my last comment. My use of 'but' as opening word was for continuation from where I stopped earlier.

You rolled out law references that made you sound like a lawyer. And you now question why I believe that you are a lawyer.
Why then do you go into legal matters quoting references in defence of Tinubu if you are not a lawyer? Are you a busybody, or just another of Tinubu's urchinss in America doing the dirty deals for him in America?
My question: if you lived in the 1950s US, not to talk of the US of yesterday 1990s, and some people or person pumped huge sums of money into your bank account, and you didn't know the source of the money, would you accept the situation?

I'm going to give you scenarios from my mentor when I just started in the financial industry:

You run a business to business(B2B) company in which you supply drinkable water to corporations/wealthy clients. You deal with hundreds or even thousands of clients each month, in the 90s which tools existed to make sure none of these clients were doing illegal shit for money?

Okay you do a criminal background check? Nothing comes up as these individuals are outstanding citizens. What else? Unknown to you, these wealthy clients with legitimate businesses are actually using the businesses to wash/launder their dirty money(drugs, trafficking etc). Mr. genius/magician, what tools could you have used to discover this and save yourself from complicity?

Scenario 2:

You are an investment banker, you help wealthy people manage/grow their funds, your clients invests average 100k to 1 million per year, in the 80s how do you verify income? Bank statement? Tax return? Nothing shows up as once again these are outstanding citizens grin grin

Unknown to you, these wealthy clients with legitimate businesses are actually using the businesses to wash/launder their dirty money(drugs, trafficking etc). Mr. genius/magician, what tools could you have used to discover this and save yourself from complicity?

Even your grammatical blunders in nearly every sentence in your comments must be an embarrassment to TEUE American lawyers.

Even those on whose behalf Tinubu was banking the drug trafficking money were jailed.

Your mumu is hitting sky level. Even the most foolish person in any 1950s industry wouldn't allow huge sums of money deposited in his account without first ascertaining the source of the money.

Yet we have many U.S court cases from the 90s upwards that shows the opposite. Yet the infiltration of illicit money used to purchase insurance policies, real estate etc have led to money laundering laws being strengthened now compared to the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

Go and educate yourself on the following U.S laws/acts before arguing online & stop embarrassing yourself:

Annunzio-Wylie Anti-Money Laundering Act (1992)
Money Laundering Suppression Act (1994)
Money Laundering and Financial Crimes Strategy Act (1998)
Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 (USA PATRIOT Act)
Intelligence Reform & Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004

Then it means I'm culpable. There's no way such money would be deposited in my account without me knowing. If Tinubu wasn't culpable or didn't abate that crime, he wouldn't have allowed that money to be forfeited that way.

Mind you, I once lived and worked in America and had bank accounts. You can't even accept one dollar to be paid into your account if you know you won't be able to defend it. You won't allow your name to be dented too cos you could go to jail. Every penny counts. The law works there for and against everyone, unlike here in Nigeria where the law was made only for only the masses.

Stop capping! I have worked in America's I.T and financial industry for over 13 years now and I can tell you the money laundering landscape in the 80s and 90s is completely different to what we have now post 9-11. It's the same principle how the whites are falling for yahoo scams in which they think they are accepting legit money from clients not knowing it is proceeds from crime. Go and ask any veteran yahoo guy, he'll tell you how easy it was in the 90s and early 2000s compared to now, ordinary checks wey dey clear immediately now you got to wait at least 2-5 days for the full amount, life evolves.

Wole Olanipekun and his defence counsel can write or claim anything in defence of Tinubu, but they should stop making reference to US consulate or embassy in Nigeria. An embassy in a foreign country is just a business centre and will never get involved in your local politics in a way that it jeopardizes their business interests.

By the way, I didn't see anything convincing in defence of why Tinubu forfeited $460k on drug-related offenses. On no grounds will any legit citizen work hard, save up such an amount and forfeit it to the state. We are talking about over #300 million here.

This case isn't just about the morality of justices who will hear the case, but where Nigeria stands on the war against narcotics and being an enabler of drug-related criminality.

YOU ARE WRONG! U.S embassy can con duct criminal background check or inadmissibility reviews on anybody, this is how people are denied visas or outrightly banned. Furthermore, your reasoning is for poor folks, the rich or wealthy affluent can forfeit millions if they realize it is not from a pure source. Again most of you local champions do not know the history of anti money laundering laws in the USA. If you did, you would know that in the 80s and early 90s, KYC and AML were not as strong as what we have today. In fact, many banks and investment entities were found guilty of the same thing Tinubu went thru and they had to forfeit funds as well but I guess it is easy to shout drug baron than to actually research the case.

Well if you are a fiduciary, an accountant or investment banker, you might have clients money deposited in your bank account. Do you know for sure where all the money came from? If one of those clients did yahoo and it was later traced to your account, you go forfeit that money and could possibly face further prosecution.

I think you are the one who needs comprehension of simple facts by removing your political blinkers and not creating your strange list of synonyms which is available only in Lai Mohammed/Adamu/Keyamo/ Lauretta Onochie/FFK dictionary of lies. See screen dump attached from authoritative thesaurus and Cambridge dictionary.

I stick with facts not the usual APC manufacturing of lies and turning black to white and vice-versa.

1. I don't know where you went to invent your own synonyms for the word "rusticate". A simple check in thesaurus gives a different list. Help yourself by reading the attached.

2. The word rusticate is usually applied as punishment when a student commits crimes or is unable to maintain good academic standards, as was clearly the case with Adamu Garba. See extract from Cambridge dictionary to help you out.

3. Adamu Garba was rusticated/expelled/withdrawn (to borrow your fake synonyms), as punishment. On the other hand, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were never expelled from university as punishment. They withdrew voluntarily from their academic programmes. Know this and know peace.

4. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were never rusticated or expelled for poor academic performance or any criminal activities. They withdrew voluntarily from college to focus on building Microsoft and Apple companies.

5. Adamu Garba on the other hand was rusticated/expelled for poor academic performance and crooked activities incompatible with his status as a student.

6. Equating the block-head Adamu Garba with geniuses like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates is ridiculous and another wicked lie manufactured by APC to burnish Adamu's image so they can reward him with ministerial or board appointment for his online trolling effort for APC. Who knows, Tinubu might reward him as INEC National Chairman or State Commissioner just like Lauretta Onochie.

Go back and read my initial comment and stop embarrassing yourself! Your initial comment was that Adamu was rusticated while Bill dropped out, I simply stated that there really was little to no difference between being rusticated and what happened to Bill, both were punished albeit for different reasons. I further explained that Bill never submitted an official withdrawal request and that he was dismissed/withdrawn from the university, I never said Adamu was a genius or smart like Bill, that's your own imaginary fight. Now if you still can't comprehend, feel free to argue with your phone..... Enough of this fuckery!
