Adullam001: My brother, I am not jobless. Mind your utterance. If you don't want to pray, there are people willing to do it. We are not forcing it on anybody. Read what I wrote and this time, come back at me with some logic! You might not be jobless but the majority of the people you're inviting are most CERTAINLY! Blatant disregard for them is the reason you have the guts to schedule a prayer session on a midnight middle of a work week.....You don't rate them at all! |

Adullam001: Look at how people are dying and going to eternity every seconds. This is to show you that this world is not our own. Believe it or not, you are a stranger in this earth and every minute of the day draws you closer to eternity. It won't matter your achievements in this earth because you won't carry it to the grave. What matters is your relationship with Jesus. Is your name written in the book of life.
Meanwhile:
You are specially invited to our weekly midnight prayers via Telegram live chat. By the special grace of God, we will be holding our midnight prayers today being Wednesday.
Time: 12 am prompt. Duration: 1 hour only.

It is going to be a wonderful time spent in the presence of God. Remember if there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer.

Testimonies are already happening. Come and see them yourself. God bless you as you join If no be joblessness and outright spirit of medicority......Why would able bodied citizens be having prayer sessions at midnight during a work day? This is what 9ja has turned to, a DISGRACE! |

Kemetian: You are the very epitome of a brainless idiot.
What have people in Gaza got to do with Nigeria and Fulani?
Comparing isolated incidents of banditry in Nigeria with the potential wholesale genocide and displacement of 2 million people from their land in Palestine, and justifying the latter based on the former makes you an animal with no morals. Isolated gini? Those isolated incidents are extensions of terrorism since 2004, coupled with poverty as a weapon policies of past and present administration is responsible for displacing millions of Nigerians.....E be like say some of una dey live for alternate reality. I would dare you to actually visit Borno and check the records of how many families were destroyed the past two decades. |

The issue of Palestine is like mosquito on a man's testicles. Only a fool handles it brashly. Better presidents than Trump have tried managing the matter. He goes ahead and does this, America will FAFO. You're talking about the USA before 9/11, the USA after 9/11 is much more proactive and reactive.....Dem go dey fight you but you no fit know, na your own people go finish the work |

passion007: Try freeing yourself sometimes, not everything is racism. How boring that you bring race into every discussion.
Did you miss my point about soft skills? I'm sure that went right over your head.
Communication is only 7% verbal...over 90% is nonverbal. You only know what was said, you have no clue of the context. Was she fidgety? Over defensive? Over explaining? I'm sure you're not interested in that. All you want is to be a racism champion with 15 years in the UK as your credential.
Free yourself and actually enjoy the country you live in. Let racism be the last explanation for human behaviour, not the first one! Again you're simply ignorant here, the professional is the one that should exercise due diligence and act PROFESSIONALLY! Police confronted you in front of a pharmacy about suspicion of being a drug user/dealer and instead of going straight to the source and inquiring with the pharmacy, they preferred to do an home inspection? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! So they left the pharmacy, followed her all the way home and then searched her home invading her privacy and dehumanizing her, even tho such searches usually requires a WARRANT? This is what you called normal police behavior? I know as a Nigerian you're used to not having basic human rights so I'm not surprised you are deflecting from my points and making it all about communication. FYI, I don't live in the UK, I live in the USA and I've seen police sued for much much less, in fact the story makes no damn sense! |

passion007: You don't seem to understand police protocol very much. Mrs X rightly alerts police about a lady who is on the phone speaking loudly (our girl admits she was) about getting drugs and excited about getting these drugs to someone else. Mrs X thinks this is a drug deal with intent to supply and shares this with police. Police arrive and our girl admits she did indeed purchase drugs. Later on, she realises the miscommunication and wants to clarify things. Police therefore feel she may be changing her story and continue to conduct a search to be absolutely certain. Unfortunately we sometimes lack soft skills that can help to deescalate these sort of situations. The girl in question fully understands what went wrong which relates to miscommunication, has learnt the lesson and most importantly, shared the lesson with others.
That's all that is apparent from this story. You really have to make loads of assumptions to identify any (c)overt racism in this case. Again you're speaking jargon, she was still in front of the pharmacy, a competent police officer without bias would confirm her statement by interviewing the pharmacy clerk. It was easily verifiable and I repeat a white woman woluld not be treated in such a way, no way a white woman would leave that scene and be subjected to HOME INSPECTION......You can spew all the jargon you want but this was clearly a breach of proper police protocol! |
Crime › Re: Nigerian Gets Arrested Abroad For Calling Medication "Drugs" by abbey621(m): 2:59pm On Feb 04, 2025 |
passion007: Once you put race at the center of your thinking, you stop understanding basic gaffes.
Even the victim did not once mention racism. She simply shared what the issue was, which was miscommunication. Once a police report is received on drug dealing, the police have to investigate until there's reasonable evidence to the contrary.
Your contrary argument about a white person makes no sense in this case. Why would a white British woman refer to medications as drugs? It simply will never happen. Case closed. The victim might not be educated or wise enough to see the bigger picture, I've lived abroad for over 15 yeras now and have police officers and military personnel in my family, there are protocols to these things and this case is blatantly evident of poor protocol. Why would a white British woman refer to medications as drugs? White woman does not have to be British! We have many Americans living or visiting Britain, we have many non British Europeans who would call medication, drugs! Stop this baseless assumption! Finally, unless the poster made it all up or sweetened it with some lamba, there was abundance of evidence to not treat her like a drug dealer or user! It is you that failed to see the sense in my analysis because as usual subtle bias is not often recognized until it causes actual damages! |
Crime › Re: Nigerian Gets Arrested Abroad For Calling Medication "Drugs" by abbey621(m): 12:57pm On Feb 04, 2025 |
passion007: Context is everything. If you've ever lived in the UK, you'll know there's no racism in this.
Medications are what you get from the chemist. Drugs are illicit substances.
Language is dependent on geography. In the UK, being sick means vomiting. In Nigeria being sick means feeling unwell.
The purpose of language is communication so when we move abroad, we learn the language of the new country, including any contextual cues and adapt to that new way of speaking, otherwise we may be misunderstood. The girl has learned the lesson and is learning how to be British, which is about not taking oneself too seriously, and being able to laugh at one's mistakes That's bullshit and you know it! Proper police training would have had one of the officer confirm from the pharmacy what was bought! Let's play the scenario again and change the main character to a white woman, her explanation at the scene coupled with the fact that she's still in front of the pharmacy and can clearly show what she bought would have been ENOUGH to let her go! Stop making excuses for racial profiling and bias, it's a cancer that has no room in the modern society! |

GloriousGbola: A lot of bs
The guy did not lose any license
Apparently he was paying $1900 per month and according to the dad defaulting
He has been separated from the wife since 2022 domestic violence matter
He was a cardiologist and they can pull 500k a year
His wife was not doing bad either - she is a physician assistant and can pull 120k a year
What happened is pauperised red piller Nigerian males and maybe the doctors friends and family made up a story your would expect and ran with it.
Hungry broke gold digger trophy wife brought from Nigeria
Meanwhile the lady was born and bred in Yankee and had athletic scholarships
The funniest thing is boys cursing out the girls father who is all things considered a polygamous hero. An American Ned Nwoko.
And a man who has his daughters back. Somehow they did not expect that
All of a sudden knacking plenty women is a problem
The dad alleges the doctor came to the wife's place with a gun, held them hostage for 3 hours and then killed himself. Not sure if that is true
In the end everyone has lost
The dude was 36 years old and a successful doctor. He had serious disposable income, was handsome so I can't understand So maybe the anger management and controlling issues track. As mum and dad were medical,he had a sister who was also medical with her husband and they moved fully to the US in the 90s. First born is a successful doctor. My sis was telling me dude has a g wagon and his baby mama dey also deal with him. You have money so you roll with it. Most cardiologist don't make more than $250k to 400k per year, the deceased is not a veteran cardiologist(Minimum 10 years of practice) so he's probably on the lower end of that scale. Further, when you factor in taxation, the man might not even earn 25k per month, having such a person pay $15k per month as child support is DIABOLICAL! That's 60% or more of his net income! What's even more diabolical is that he would pay this without having access to his kids....In no world is this fair, if he was truly a danger to his kids there would be a restraining order against him and criminal proceedings, let's stop typing and judging issues without empathy, remmber you could have a son or daughter in similar situation one day, hopefully he or she won't feel helpless to the point of kpaing him or herself! |
