raayah:Nigerian visa is one of the easiest to get, in fact in Atlanta you don't have to show up, just submit your passport, pay and gbam! Perhaps Bill did not follow proper protocol ![]() |
And they shall cry, until the tears are no more. The king of the North or the king of the South, we do not care! All we want is the king of prosperity. Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, we do not care, just perform and give Nigerians the chance to vote for you again!!!!! |
Op I bet when you were trying to toast her you promised heaven and earth. Words said in anger can be devastating but most times it means nothing. I bet you also said some words to her which were very insulting. Now the irony here is that instead of concentrating on what caused the fight, you are busy dealing with unintended consequences. My guy if you value your relationship, sit her down and let her know how you feel, social media can't solve your issues for you! |
mmsen:Yes I do not disagree, Northerners are less educated than Southerners but in the grand scheme of things, every part of Nigeria is still struggling with poverty so I see no reason to downgrade one over the other. The Average Nigerian survives on less than $2 a day which is lower than the worldwide poverty guideline, FACT! |
mmsen:Are you saying Kano is not as developed as Enugu or Imo? Are you saying Sokoto is not on the same level with Ekiti or Abia? You're so funny! Yes the president shouted change but does that mean the change must be so drastic that he shouldn't surround himself with those he trusts? You've yet to give credible evidence that those who were appointed are of bad character or that they are inefficient, please let's stop acting on emotions or sentiments and put pure facts on the table! |
100 things that Buhari will do in 100 days, really? How can people believe such nonsense! Even in advanced countries, the new administration does not achieve 100 things in 100 days. |
mmsen:I guess we have to agree to disagree! I know some parts of the South East and South South that is so poor that I wouldn't advice my worst enemy to live there. You mentioned Katsina but obviously forgot about Sokoto and Kano. We can do compare and contrast all day but the fact remains that both North and South are underdeveloped. The North might be filled with religious ignorance and people with low intelligence but the South's so called developed area is concentrated only to 1/4th of the total states. Like I said I'm less concerned about that, what I'm telling you is to research the profile of each appointee and tell me how they are unqualified. It seems you know more than the president, so please enlighten me on what makes them incompetent! |
mmsen:If you are honest with yourself, you would realize that the South South, South East and the North are all underdeveloped. Let's move on from that, what I'm particularly concerned about is the bold part of your statement. I suggest you look at the appointments again and research into their respective job functions. You'll see clearly that experience in the private sector is not needed at all. I would think personal traits such as honesty, sharpness and so on are much more important. What people like you are failing to realize is that the president is going to surround himself with those he can trust, forget about federal character and ethnicity! |
It's too early to start shouting over 1 month's payment. This is 9ja and employers owe money all the time. It would be very hard for you to mount any legal challenge against them as other companies had set a precedence for cases such as this. They say payback is a b*tch, I would advise you to compile a list of all your clients and sabotage their business. Seriously you have the experience and home field advantage on your side, all you have to do is find a similar job with a competitor, poach all the clients to the new job and smile! |
mployer:This slave will buy you and your family and still have some change left so f*ck off! |
Bunch of disgusting crybabies! Does appointment = performance? Let the man appoint anyone he likes, if they don't perform then you can begin crying but if they perform I see no reason why ethnicity should be a factor. I'll take a stranger who does his or her job diligently over a lazy brother or sister any day, anytime! |
It just goes to show how clueless of a nation we are. I was hoping to hear things like the appointees are not qualified either by inexperience or morality but seems majority of Nigerians are all about ethnic or tribal sentiments. During the last administration things were pretty much in favor of the South but did we grow as a nation? Did the South actually developed more than the North? If the answer is no then we can see that it's not by appointment, it's by character! Tribalism and hatred has thrown some of you into a state of blindness and I'm afraid there's no light at the end of the tunnel for people like that in this world. I actually applaud the president for the appointments so far, looking deep into each appointee's profile it's easy to see that PMB is building a team he can trust, a team not guided by religion or ethnicity but by ethics and high work rate. My advice to all you wailers is to broaden your horizon and stop this ethnic biasness in order to prosper in life! |
Bollinger:One of the factors responsible for investment failures is unrealistic target/expectation. Apart from my MBA and working for one of the best companies in the financial sector, I've also ventured into many businesses and the lesson learnt was that never invest your survival money into any business. I know it sounds confusing but trust me, your investment money should not be based on the money you need for your day to day survival, this would ensure that if the investment fails you won't contemplate suicide ![]() |
I would have loved to see Hausas, Yorubas and other ethnicity condemning the president instead of an obvious bigot/ethnic induced dramatization, seems some people are still licking their wounds after their papa was voted out . Buhari scorecard so far for me is 3/10, he has a lot of work to do. Let's see how the next 100 days plays out! |
benzion72:Nice advice but very unlikely! 40% of your income on investments? Isn't that a little high? Let's assume the man makes 150k a month, 40% of that is 60K, he's left with 90K. Oh right you also advice saving 10% of income so he's left with 75k. Let's not forget tithe, he now has 60k left, food and transportation would take at least half of that leaving him with 30k. With 30K he'll give family, girlfriend or wife, pay for recharge cards, probably want to buy an extra pair of pants and/or shirt, Nepa and water bill remains. This is just my own little analysis, I didn't even factor in taxes, faaji money and other miscellaneous ![]() |
Well said Tonto! In all you do don't forget moderation. Finding a balance to life is the key to happiness. Some guys spend their life thinking about nothing but sex then find themselves in their late 30s to 40s with no accomplishments, while other guys preoccupied themselves with making money and neglect their woman physically. There's no such thing as a perfect human being some just try more than others, as far as I know we are all f*cking learners!!!! |
AdmiralDru:What makes you think so? Do you know the owner or are you just assuming? |
Gullible Nigerians would actually believe this man made sense but a simple compare and contrast would suffice. What was the economy like in 2007? What was it like when GEJ left office? GEJ might have truly tried his best but it was clear as daylight that his best was not good enough to weed out corruptiuon. If Buhari should pursue the same path of mediocrity then we would kindly vote him out in 2019, gone are the days of suffering and smiling! |
Nigerians and effizzy, may God help us all! Personally driving a Ferrari or such exotic cars in Nigeria is senseless due to poor road conditions and other factors. If I want to spend a huge amount on a vehicle, I would buy an SUV with upgraded suspension, 4*4 capabilities and all. Imagine going thru some roads such as Badagry area, Okokomaiko and so on, the car go pieces ![]() |
saintandsinnerz:Once again useless ranting and nothing to offer intellectually! Typical of the average Nairalander, if you can't defeat me with facts the only option is to result to insults and hooliganism. Seems to me you're the real failure here ![]() |
saintandsinnerz:Another ignoramus pretending to know it all. Why do Nigerians like you love mixing apples with oranges? Why must you come up with bogus analogies to justify your position? You mentioned John Terry, Andy Gray and son but what you failed to realize is that these people were working and as part of their job descriptions they are not allowed to say or do certain things. The Oba is under no such restriction and neither is the average person. You mentioned threats against the president, are you seriously comparing negative statements made about a race to actually threatening the President of a nation? Are you really that naive? In your attempt to prove your intelligence, you've actually displayed your naivety. Like I said earlier when we remove sentiments from our reasoning, we would all be better off. Show me the place in the Nigerian Constitution which criminalizes the Oba's actions and I'll be a believer, till then kindly keep shut! |
Lemon12:Lol....You're still dreaming Mark my words, the Oba won't set a foot in court! |
Lemon12:The beauty of free speech is that it can be negative or positive, you can agree with it or disagree but it should not be restricted. We've seen politicians said worse things and they were not crucified, you people need to get over yourselves! Personally I feel the Oba was wrong to make such a statement but expecting the ICC to sanction him is just plain ridiculous! |
saintandsinnerz:What rights were violated? Did anyone get hurt or died as a result of the Oba's statement? These are just some of the questions the ICC would look into when determining whether to take this joke seriously! I know you are used to living in a world where you can't express yourself freely but I repeat what the Oba said is still part of his fundamental right to free speech, now if people were actually killed as a result of the statement then there would be a case for inciting violence or "genocide" as some of your comrades put it. |
I think this country has more pressing issues than focusing on an Oba's negative statement. It's a joke to think that the ICC would even prosecute such cases. Last time I checked there's something called freedom of speech and since the Oba's position is not an elected position, I see no reason why we continue to make a mockery of ourselves. Many of you might feel what the Oba said was hateful and quite frankly I feel the same way but is there a law that prohibits free speech or are we just letting our sentiments control us? |
irsakant:Once again you are focusing on the wrong thing! Probing can come later, what was imminent is the welfare of those workers who were not paid. It's easy to complain when you've eaten and you are not being evicted by your landlord but if you put yourself in the shoes of those workers you'd realize how dire the situation was. I have first hand experience because a cousin of mine was faced with this predicament, within a couple of months his life turned upside down. So please excuse me if I'm a little biased, I believe when there's life there's hope and what Buhari did saved a lot of families from starvation, probing can come later jaare! |
Forwetinnah:I agree, those governors should be made accountable! But we all know say na padi padi government we dey do for 9ja. |
dougivilla:Not in this case bro, a government that can't rescue it's citizens from starvation and hunger is not fit to govern. The States failed and the federal government rescued them, the ultimate victors are the workers who finally got paid. We've seen much more money stolen for extravagant expenses during the previous administration, so I'm actually glad those funds actually did something good for the people. The key now is for Buhari to not relent but work harder to ensure the economy gets back in shape! |
dougivilla:You know right from time Nigeria's problem has been corruption and lack of transparency but in this case I don't mind the means as long as the end justifies it. I'm more worried about the workers. I'm worried about the people that have to feed their families, pay for school fees and so on, I just can't imagine how they managed to cope all this while..... |
phlio:Person dey call himself GABAZIN and you still dey act surprised at his wickedness......na wa 4 u ooo ![]() |
dougivilla:You're failing to see the bigger picture! How long should workers continue to suffer? The bailout was done to relieve those who've been suffering from the past few months. I think the States that are bailed out should be made to repay the money like an interest free or low interest loan, this would deter future occurrences. I can't imagine what would have happened to workers if the federal government did not bailout those States. |
