Isn't it too early to form a definite opinion? Yes they promised change during the elections but only a fool would think change happens overnight. When typing sh*t like this try to state clearly that it is based on your opinion or point of view. What works for me might not work for you, my cousin stays in Onitsha and it has been peaceful for the past one year. I grew up in Mushin, and it was the safest place on earth for me, I was never harassed, I stayed up till 2A.M in the morning on most days in the street playing Baba Ijebu, I stayed with the Boys on the street and knew exactly where to go and whom to associate with. This is funny to me, I've never been dumped before and yet I'm guilty of some of the things the OP points out. I've always believed we have two types of girls, those that deserve to be played and those that deserve to stay. Sometimes I get the two confused but I ultimately end up doing the dumping not the other way around. I'm highly confident, authoritative and strong minded. I don't believe in two captains in a ship especially relationships so if I'm with someone, I'll definitely be the one doing the leading(Can't let a woman drive me into a pit ). In my younger days, I never spent a dime on a woman, cos I am not her father! Nowadays I spend only on those that I don't mind being a maga for . Yet I've never been dumped cos being dumped implies that I actually give a f*ck about the girl in the first placed, I don't invest emotionally unless the girl is deeply emotionally invested, in the relationship I'm not even going to give 50% of my heart till I'm sure I've got 200% of hers, yes it's unfair but love is a game that I just can't afford to lose!

Gosh . . . . I am soooo grateful to God for the man I married. God knows I am not cut out for all this BS in Nigerian marriages!!!

Learn to read, I purposefully put some words from her posting in bold to highlight the hidden messages within the post. She called herself a loyal housewife with children and based on the way her husband spoke to her about the issue, it doesn't take a genius to figure out who pays the bills. Next, a woman with 3 different suitors definitely gave other guys the impression of availability. This is 9ja, most people don't become suitors without some form of dating or socializing. Finally, she mentioned that the husband was a nice guy and did not change till the birth of the second child, this only points to a drastic change in attraction and appeal. The reason I blamed her is because she lacks self esteem, she's basically a liability and a combination of stress with opportunity is responsible for the man's actions. This is why I mentioned in my post that only her can determine if the marriage is worth saving, most men are weak and succumb easily to female temptations, when the one at home isn't doing her duties then the temptations becomes much more. There's no excuse for the guy's actions, he's a pig but for her to think he just woke up one day and turned into a monster is outright ignorance!

I married my husband about five years ago. Before I got married to him there were three of them that were going after me. My husband was the least person I had expected to get married to of the three people.

Apart from the fact that he was a lit bit older than me, he was not the trendy type and he looked timid and native to me so I wasn’t even considering him at all at that time. If somebody had told me that I would later marry him I would have denied it.

However, of the three people that were after me he was the one that appeared serious as at that time. He proposed to me and told me that he didn’t want an affair with me he just wanted to get married to me.

The other guys on the other hand never proposed to me all they wanted was to have a go at me and then move on and considering the fact that age was no longer on my side and with the advice from my mother, I eventually agreed to marry my husband. When we eventually got married, I did everything to transform my husband from the timid and native guy he was to a trendy fashion man.

I made sure I changed his entire wardrobe and bought him trendy clothes so he would look presentable as my husband. Everything has been fine with us until I had my second baby over a year ago. My husband just changed completely from the loving and caring man that dotes over me to a complete monster.

He started out by keeping late nights and coming home drunk. Then I noticed that he was no longer interested in having sex with me. My husband that will always find any opportunity to engage me was no longer interested in sex; the whole thing took a turn for the worst when he stopped talking to me in the house. I don’t know what I did to offend him because as everything has been fine with us before now.

It was at this point that I noticed he was having an affair outside. When I confronted him, he didn’t deny it, instead he told me that if I was not happy with the situation of things I should pack my things and leave after all I wasn’t planning to marry him initially that he practically begged me, so I can as well leave if I am tired. It got up to the extent that he picks the calls of his girlfriends in my presence calling them pet names like baby, sweetie and all that without regards to me.

The straw that eventually broke the camel’s back was three days ago when he brought his girlfriend home. I took my baby to the hospital and when I got back, I noticed his car was parked outside. On entering the house I found him with the girl cuddling on the settee I didn’t know when I threw my baby down and gave the girl the beating of her life for daring to come into my home.

He has called my people to say he is no longer interested in the marriage. I don’t know what I have done to deserve this and I have been begging him to tell me what I did wrong but all he keeps saying is that I never wanted to marry him in the first place, but all that is past and I have been a faithful and loyal housewife to him so why all these? Please my people tell me how to go about this before I run mad because my husband is behaving like somebody that has been bewitched or under a spell.

Where do I start from? Woman you are the cause of your own misfortune! Yes you heard me right, it is all your fault! Look at the bold words, I'm sure your husband knew you were dating 2 other men at the same time you were dating him, I'm very sure you are not telling the entire story, after kids you've let yourself go, you probably took him for granted as he was such a nice man and this allowed room for another woman. Now you also seem to be a housewife with no source of income other than your husband which means you are a liability more than an asset, I suggest you remain calm, get a job and let your husband see you as a contributor and not a vacuum. Finally issues like this requires strength and calculation, you only have two options: pack and leave or stick it out and hope for the best, no one can tell you what to do but yourself, search deep within and determine if the marriage is worth saving!
