element: preliminary: these involve the setting up things that will help smooth running and construction of the building. Things like source of water( bore hole, well or water vendor etc). source of work tools like wheel barrow, shovel, head pan etc. 1. 1 wheel barrow @ N1500/nr = N15,000 2. 5 head pan and shovel @ N800/nr = N10,000 3. Builders square, lines, bucket etc = N6,000 Total = N31,000 sinking of bore hole may be capital intensive depending on the location of the building. Here in south south ( Rivers), the water table in shallow nd hand drilling can be employed. A depth of about 10m will guarantee adequate supply of water for the project. Drilling done manually = N30,000 Sumo pump = N40,000 Gp tank of 1500ltrs capacity = N25,000 small plumbing work, hose and other miscellaneous = N15,000 Total = N110,000 Note that the bore hole will be useful after the completion of the house since only an overhead tank will be required |

We seriously need revolution and attitudinal change. Nigeria is a country where government that produce nothing is the highest employers of labour A country that prioritize salary and allowances over road, rail, power, education and health care service A country with majority of wealthy class politicians and ex permanent secretary. Nigeria will never become an industrialized leading economy country if we continues in this path |
bushdoc9919:Singapore has high educated middle class in the sixties when they left the Malaysian federation, they have skillful manpower, ready made entrepreneurship population that can set up small and medium scale industries and also have the patience to watch it grow. Singaporean were not like Nigerians that want to make money without working |
manny4life:Government should never be the major employer or formal labour...Government need to be an agent of infrastructure development and the protector of rule of law and not a cooperate company or business venture that employ labor. Nigeria is in deep messed because of corrupt political class, corrupt civil service and lazy inefficient civil service. I think the size of states like osun civil service need to be slashed because of too many lazy workers. Agriculture, mining, manufacturing and servicing should be the major contributors to employment generation and not some civil service commission |

mufutau55:yes sir..long time sir |
princejones:amin sir |
Shawls:for the one bedroom flat maybe 4 to 5 units for the two bedroom flat maybe 3 to 4 units |
walestega:Your brother is right to insist you filled the foundation with laterite. The compromise here is due to cost and magnitude of your job sir, i will suggest you use the graded top soil in the estate because you house is a bungalow with limited span and light functionality. i will also suggest you filled the foundation in layers of 150mm wet it and properly compact manually with rammer. if hardcore stones are cheap in your area I suggest you filled about 150mm top level of the foundation with hard core before you finally add small sharp sand and place your membrane. |

snakebeat:permanent residence @ abuja, temporarily in port for some work |
snakebeat:let me give you a small breakdown sir. gravel are sold in tonnes, 1 tonne = 1000kg we all know the relationship between mass and volume, you headpan, bucket or any other working materials has volume, such relationship is density = mass/volume all you need to do is get the volume of the head pan or bucket, get the density of such aggregates ( e.g gravel with density of about 2400kg/m3. sharp sand with density of 1600kg) from the above, simply make volume = mass/density and then divide the result by volume of your head pan or bucket to get the number of head pan in it. Note that: 1. a trip of any material is subject and depends on the carriage capacity of the tipper, we have 30tonnes trip of gravel, we have 15tonne trip of gravel. 2. for sand, we buy in bucket, we have 3 bucket equivalent to 15 tonnes |
snakebeat:it is rivers state school and they have their specifications... the spans in the chapel is very big |
snakebeat:1/7 is the ratio of cement in the mix 1:2:4 ( where cement = 1, sand =2, gravel =4, sum of all ratio = 7) 4 number of reinforcement is the number specified by the design engineer. structurally, one can only have even number of bars (iron) or reinforcement in a column eg. 4, 6, 8, 10 etc |
snakebeat:the reinforcement is for the head course to receive the steel truss roof |

anwo247:The question i keep asking you south easterners calling yorubas sell out....is what do you have in common with yorubas that gave you the audacity to call us sell out? Yorubas interact alot with northern groups like nupes, fulalanis, hausas etc. what interaction do we have with igbos? |
freshdude99:Yes i am from the North ( Yoruba ). yes i am a muslim. But you are wrong I' m not a religious or ethnic bigot, if you have anything to explain feel free to do so.... Dongete is a great Nigeria that is putting food in the mouth of a million family daily and i live him for that |
Mogidi:balance= revenue - expenditure arsenal can afford to have a deficit of $20m a year by easily investing all the revenue accrue in one financial year on players and allowance. The bottom line is after the taking over dangote don't really need to expend too much money, all he need to do is to reinvest all their profit back into the team |
