I actually called the HR number,the person who picked is a guy and he said I will be contacted when I am needed,but I don't think I am totally safe with that quote as the person who conducted the test is a lady and the interview have been scheduled for tomorrow, do u think I should join the others tomorrow

Good Morning, Please I had the test yesterday at Zenith via people plus, after the test, four of us were asked to wait behind and we were briefed that we would be contacted yesterday,today or before the week runs out, actually I misplaced one of my phone on my way for the test,and had low battery on the other, a friend from the selected four told me he was called yesterday, my phone was off and the other I had not retrieved as at the time, I tried calling them back and wasn't told anything concrete, do u think I will still be contacted or what do u think I should do Pls advice me

I really want to scream but ofcourse everyone seems to be in the same situation,who will console the other.The economic situation of Nigeria at the moment is really pitiable.We as the citizens have been holding on and managing,praying it gets better but it only seem to get worse.I am writing because I have come to realize that some sectors are abusing this untold hardship in the country and using it as an avenue to greatly enrich themselves.In as much as we understand that there are no jobs in Nigeria,many unemployed yet qualified graduates are roaming the street,the few ones working now are been taken for granted,used and given peanuts at the end of the day with reason been that the company cannot afford a good pay due to the economic situation.I am trying to understand how this fits in to some people.There are companies that are making massive profits despite this economic recession yet they are still slashing salaries,I can't help but to ask where does the profit realised at the end of the day go to?A typical example is Zenith bank which we read slashed workers salaries,to be realistic if a bank as big as zenith can slash despite its massive profit margin wat will the other small companies that barely make enough pay their staffers.I want to share an experience I had few days ago,I went for an interview and after that,I was called to say I did averagely ok but they would want me to work in a bigger position as the Head of Administration.I was delighted,we talked at length and I was told my work days were Mondays to saturday,with 8-7pm work time for a salary if 25,000naira.I am a graduate,I don't seem to understand why the pay has to be so poor,thereby making the job seem like slavery.I want to give my best,I want to add value,I want to be supportive to this firm but I am not motivated by the pay.I can't be working yet be hungry,worse still as head of admin for 25,000.Please Employers I want to appeal to you all to have a conscience.Its very unfair to want someone to do so much yet get paid with little or nothing.The Economy is bad at the moment which we all know but don't use that as a yardstick to frustrate your workers because we also buy things from the market and function too.I also want to plead with the present Administration to please comeup with ways to help the Nigerian Youths.Many of us are willing to work but no jobs,while we also want to be self employed yet still no capital to start even at the smallest level.To all those Employers of labour still treating their staffers nice,I want to commend you and pray that you won't have any reason to fold up.Thank you.Please pardon any grammatical error,I am open to correction.

Hi Abnot, did you apply as a fresh graduate or as an experienced one?

I heard Zenith doesn't take any form of graduate trainee but they convert contracts to staff after some years. Most peeps I know were employed by peopleplus.

The problem we have with ourselves is failure to research. I see no reason why somebody will spend 6.8 million naira just to get masters and on his return to naija, he becomes hopeless.
Before we do anything, we need to research these countries, their economy and job availability.
Why should I go to UK and do my masters, when the law says on completion you must return back to ur country. Almost all countries in Europe are bullshit apart from Germany, Netherland, switzerland that have good policies favoring foreigners. Apart from that I will always tell people to always focus on Canada and US where you are entitled to Post Graduate work permit after your education and you can look for job and then apply for PR.
The OP is right, employers love to have those with foreign experience in their establishment. The course we study matters a lot too.
I didn't study abroad but was opportune to have worked in one of the biggest companies in the world situated in South-east Asia just for few time.
And since I came back, I have gotten like 4 offers. And i'm seriously looking for money and gathering it bit by bit to to move out of this country.
The pay outside the country is far higher than those working in chevron here. It is something that I have witnessed. Employers in Nigeria always underpay you no matter what.
If you have money to study outside the country, consider US, Canada, Germany, South Korea, China,Netherland, and Japan.

as far as I know,zenith don't recruit ET. The best that can happen is that you can be converted fast without reaching the two years. Anyway anything can happen. Maybe if your uncle is an AGM above you can be recruited as ET direct. ET salary is 135k minus upfront and leave bonus.
