lynda4biz:Na . What's graduate assistant at Zenith ? |
lynda4biz:Did they ask you to stay back ? During my time five of us wrote the exam and four were asked to stay back for the interview while one was told he didn't make it |
tiedee:Many thanks |
tiedee:I'm yet to resume . Wasn't posted to a branch . Will work from the head office . It doesn't state what the take home will be monthly that's why I'm posting out the question for all you experienced . Three of us picked up our letter today |
tiedee:Executive trainee was what was stated on my offer letter and their was no mention of peopleplus anywhere during the while recruitment process . On the mortgage bank and pension forms we were asked to write zenith bank Plc under employer name. Asking bout the take-home cuz i have the gross figure but not the net figure |
tiedee:Not through peopleplus . Recruitment was conducted directly by zenith bank staff for executive trainee. Also what's the take home for executive trainee at the moment ? By specialised role I mean database development, HR, software ,forex .... |
tiedee:Thanks though we applied for specialised roles and as such expect to work from the headquarters not the branches. |
tiedee:Lol question number 1. Why is there little or no communication between HR and the applicant during the recruitment process? All they say is "we'll call you". 2. Why are applicants recruited when there are no vacancies ? |
Odunharry:Many thanks. |
Odunharry:So my point is if there's no vacancy at the point of recruitment why then recruit ? |
Still yet to figure out how there recruitment process is conducted. After aptitude test, there are a series of interviews with a final one with the MD/CEO. Afterwards you're invited for Medicals. In my own case everything up to the Medicals took place under one week. Medicals to offer has so far been very lengthy . Some of the guys I had Medicals with are at the verge of giving up as there's been no form of communication since then. What then is the essence of recruiting if at the end , the issuance of offer letters gets stalled ? |
Makes me miss my uni days in the lecture theater with sophisticated sound and visual projection system abroad. Truth me told I was paying a tuition equivalent to 7 million naira per annum and a mac book was something we could buy easily with our student ID card following which apple awarded discounts and payment plans that was very favorable. Will be wrong of us to compare/expect this in our public universities because the money is simply not there. During my time the citizens got a subsidy from the government which made them pay about the equivalent of 2million naira while their government paid the balance of about 5 million naira. As a result there were limited spots for citizens due to the limited resources from the government. On the other hand the average cost of tuition to a student in a Nigerian public university is 150k per annum (i guess). So we should not expect to have similar infrastructure or standard of education. |
mandonnels:Okay. Had ours 8 days ago but still no word from them |
mandonnels: |
@mandonnels |
Odunharry:Lol my blood pressure reading was a bit elevated though . Discussed it with the doctor and he didn't sound like it was a big deal. |
Done with Medicals (x-Ray , weight , eye-sight, height , blood pressure, urine and blood tests) . Though I didn't get the results probably cuz I'm not the one paying . But I guess I'm done with all the stages and waiting to hear from HR... |
Odunharry:Many thanks. What sort of Medicals though . Can I eat/drink something before going ? |
Odunharry:Got an invitation for Medicals this afternoon... |
Odunharry:Will keep you posted when there's an update |
No idea |
saintdennis:Result is instant but they don't tell you your score . All they do is tell you whether you progressed or not |
We were four that interviewed with the MD . A few mins before the interview with the MD , our documents were inspected and photocopied. After all we were given a HR questionnaire to complete as well as a form granting zenith bank consent to carry out fitness test on us however we've not been told to proceed for Medicals. My guess is that it will depend on how we performed during the interview with the MD . Although some folks are of the opinion that interviewing with the MD is as good as already having the offer |
Wrote my test on Wednesday. Is it automatic? Cuz the numbers kept reducing as we progressed through the stages ; |
Odunharry:There's one more stage . I met with with the ED on Wednesday and the MD the following day |
Odunharry:What stages did you go through ? Did you get to interview with an ED and the CEO ? |
afelouz:Not re-applying . Just wanted to go spend 4 days there with my friends all of which do not need visas ( one British , one American and two from Swaziland ). But as it is "mogbe" . Feel more welcomed in the west (Europe/America ) than South Africa . |
So yea got denied a short stay visa to RSA as I've just picked up my passport. Reason given was "insufficient funds". Had about 350k in my account with a good travel history and valid visas to USA, UK and three expired Schemgen visas and 5 expired UK visas. Guess they got a strict entry requirement |
afelouz:It's my first time applying to RSA so got limited knowledge bout the process but applied as an employed individual . |
afelouz:Did you apply for a tourist visa as well? When and where did you apply ? |
afelouz:Yea applied for a short stay visitor's visa |
Received an SMS notifying me that my application has been processed yesterday (the 6th working day from when I submitted) . Guess they are more efficient than I thought though don't know the outcome yet. Will find out when I go there on Monday . |

I'm sorry about your visa denial.
