Listen you have to understand my Nigerian people most of them are illiterate to the core. Once a Nigerian see in other African country is better than them they believe it is the white people which build that country. Without using their brain that majority of the workforce and Blacks also most of the laborers are also black. Without the black population South Africa and Kenya including other African countries will be nowhere. Why do you think developed countries import a lot of cheap labour from third world countries. Kenya was built by black people South Africa was built by black people. But my Nigerian people cannot understand this because they are illiterate and lazy they cannot work only thing they know how to do vote for a criminal all over the world

Now talking of largest port - Mombasa has bigger port than two ports of Lagos. Nairobi JKIA handle more passengers and aircraft that Lagos airport.

None of them claim to be 100B GDP based on that alone.

What does Lagos generate? It's manufacturing sector is nothing to write home about?

So Nigeria claims to have 50% of it's population living in urban areas. That is 100M people. Lagos unofficially host 20m (officially census only counted 8M their last census). Those who actually voted in last presidential election were less than 2m...less than Nairobi voters.

Now how can rest of Nigeria faked GDP of 400B - hosting 80M urban nigeria - be worth way less than Lagos Slumpolis.

And there is nothing "special" that Lagos has - compared to other Nigeria cities and towns. It all the same urban sprawl of low key integrated mixed housing .

As for this project it might get funded by private sector and be backed by LASG same way they are doing with ilubirin...I have pics of sanwo checking out some prototype sample in China early this year..
Ilubirin will probably give you the feel of what you get when you shop on Oxford Street,London...... basically just high end stores,cafes, souvenir shops, restaurant,office spaces, luxury homes, busy streets, lively neighbourhood....not a serious CBD but can atleast open up that axis into a CBD in the future...

As a nairobian yoybeirh live in Westland,Karen,CBD, upperhill,Langata or you live in places like this...and worse off you end up in kibera, Roysambu, Zimmerman..

Pls, where did u dig ur stat from? From 85% of lagos island as slum to 60-70% of lagos as slum? Do u even know lagos island stretches to onikan (one of d coolest neigbourhood on earth)? Why use balogun market alone to judge l/island, a market about to be demolished? dont even get me started on ur doggy 70% stat cos any city with that slum rate wont be listed as d 5th most beautiful n developed city in d continent.

Nigeria will only fix it's issues when it get out of GRAND DELUSION that they are best in Africa. You need to admit that you're indeed in a hole - and try to fix it.
