Hunchogee:Where is it located please I would like to get an aerial view on google earth. Like street name or a landmark nearby. |
Hunchogee:Wow they really actually building it, but personally in my opinion they should have spent this money and building the best university in Africa or the best hospital in Africa, you see where am going, or build a massive housing estate. But this will still bring in more tourism revenue so I guess it’s a win win. |
samorobo:First picture isn’t port harcourt, |
The name of the company is mims motors. Electric car, 1000 mile range https://www.mimsmotorsusa.com/news/akwa-ibom-to-host-the-first-electric-car-factory-in-nigeria
|
This weekend I heard news of an American car manufacturer named Eric mims who plans on establishing a car manufacturing plant, so I chose to contact him on twitter, and here are the results.
|
vaxx:Nigeria’s oil, gas, gold, lithium, platinum, iron and coal market is worth over 8 trillion dollars whereas DRC’s minerals are worth over 80 trillion dollars what’s your point. |
Roan7:They already had their tourism and real estate boom, things are slowing down now. Because they have built all the hotels they need for the time being, whereas Nigeria and Kenya the amount of tourists is still growing and is very far from peaking so they need many more new hotels. |
vaxx:A region in Ghana cannot have a gdp of 200 billion dollars, when Ghana’s accumulative gdp is less than 100 billion dollars. |
Roan7:More under construction or planned than South Africa. |
vankelvin:....
|
vankelvin:Can you watch the video on aso ofi and see our traditional wear than I will show you akwete from the eastern part of Nigeria. Whereas all Ghana has is kente and tie and dye, |
vankelvin:You need to adapt to mass produce why do you think nigerian attire is more popular outside of Nigeria, it’s because we make more of it. But I showed you how they made it traditionally anyway did I not. |
Akwete traditional eastern Nigeria attire. You are just jealous of Nigeria,
|
vankelvin:So when Ghana does it, it’s traditional when Nigeria does it, it becomes Indian or Chinese you make no sense I showed you how they made it than your said we have the same in Ghana. So how is it not a traditional wear, |
vankelvin:Any evidence or are you just going to continue screaming like a maniac. Because if you continue like this you won’t be taken seriously by anyone on this site you sound like a seven year old |
Agbada made locally in Nigeria. Watch and weep @vankelvin https://www.urbanstax.com/beauty-aso-oke-traditonal-yoruba-clothing/ |
I don’t know why you keep on saying imported stuff with no evidence. Nigeria produces and refined more cotton than it consumes so which importation does it need. And they then sell it off to people who dye it, like the adire guy, or Kano dye outs people. Who then sell it off to the tailor who then sews your clothes for you. And kente is not the most beautiful clothing or the most expensive african clothing currently on sale let me show you something.
|
vankelvin:You’ve provided no evidence about the cloths all your doing is just talking. And yes the ones I have shown you are the ones that our ancestors wore. Adire has been worn since the 1300s in Yoruba land. The dye outs in Kano where they died the cloth is other 700 years old. We have been processing our cotton and weaving it for generations. You need to give us evidence for your claims. Otherwise it’s just words I brought you stats and detailed images and pictures. whereas you just show me what they wear. Plus Ghana doesn’t refine gold so it is foreign gold. You mine it than you sell it away for them to make it then you buy it back. That’s foreign gold. |
Dlonra:Wrong, Lagos has a gdp of 136 billion dollars and a maximum population of 20 million. Which puts its gdp per captain at 6800 dollars whereas Mombasa has a gdp of 7 billion and a population of 1 million which puts it at 7000. But no one knows lagos’s actual population it could be anywhere between 12 to 20 million. So really lagos’s gdp per capris is higher than that of Mombasa. |
rvp20182:Yet when I asked you. You gave me one thing, than tell me the rest abi. |
rvp20182:Akwa ibom has an 18 hole golf course and a fifa registered stadium you have a pga certified golf course and substandard stadium who’s the winner. Uyo |
samorobo:You have to admit ding a lot of skyscrapers in those cities |
rvp20182:Funny, what sport facilities are you boasting about and healthcare please shut your mouth. |
More of Nigeria’s dyeing culture of their textiles. This is on the north of Nigeria, these dye outs are four 600 years old before the Nigerians could even import anything from China or India et cetera I’m still waiting for Ghana’s evidence or have you been served your platter of sense, |
And as you can see here Nigeria’s production of cotton is higher than it’s consumption so how can we be importing the cotton that is used to make our clothing, then for the actual production we have over 80 cotton ginneries . And I already showed you how they dyed the cotton than sewed it together so now where is your evidence. I’m waiting.
|
Problemkid1:He actually wants to argue with Nigeria with culture and fashion, when was the last time you heard Accra was the fashion capital of anything except Ghana. Nigeria is not your mate.
|
vankelvin:Any proof for this or are you just talking let me show you the whole process . So please stop all this nonsense. Plus your original point was Nigeria had no identity yet I showed you people from before, Nigeria was even a country and could import materials and the people had their own personal wear. But your only showing people wearing it today so as far as I’m concerned your the ones improving all your materials and having no identity.
|
Pic 1 how it’s made Pic 2 how it looks Please show me how they colour the textiles used in kente. And the funny thing is you only have one style where as Nigeria has hundreds this one is adire.
|
vankelvin:Number one. You also import cotton to make your clothing. And we used to make these before we even had this import and export thing. So I don’t know what your talking about. Most of the textiles that we wear are made in Nigeria. Also majority of the gold they wear is not refined and made in Ghana, and that’s a fact, finally the people who are Ghanaian today migrated through or migrated from Nigeria to get where they were. So your essentially calling our collective ancestors low class well done. |
PapaBrowne:If you read anything about the Nigeria economic sustainability plan you would know that they want to power over 25 million homes by solar energy by 2023 or 2024 which is almost 5000MW of power, and there is a point in this project because it provides more inter connectivity between all african couturiers which is what we are trying to achieve, and finally 2500MW is not enough to power the whole of north west kaduna alone needs 961MW to power it and that is with 70% connectivity if everyone in Nigeria’s as connected to the grid we would need about 160 000-200 000MW of power depending on consumption. |
Problemkid1:When the urban renewal is done with the new mall, new roads, new bridges, new pavements, water access, constant electricity for all by 2023-2024 kaduna will single handedly destroy the whole of Ghana in infrastructure. They re even planning a light rail and brt. |
