Abba5800: Chai. This is purely scam. After two years 5000 graduates will be sack? Back to square one. What can you save from 25k. This is not employment at all. they're giving them fish instead of teaching them how to fish, we need loans, factories, hire purchase schemes etc in order to generate permanent employment. i see no reason why the fg can't build a fertilizer producing company in each state of the federation within two years, it would even earn profit for them. |

tbaba1234: Loans and knowledge. not just loans..
This huge demand, yet thousands of graduates are roaming the streets.
You do not have to criticise everything.
This is a good step. i told you most of the graduates roaming know they can't teach so that's why they're dodging private schools teaching jobs. if tell you some of our stories in our church school about certificate holders who practically useless in the classroom, your stomach would bust from laughter. |

Its painful and look depressing that's the life of a real hustler you're living there and probably why you won't take up this government offer if offered, what you need is a loan to pursue your dream and that's what this government is not doing. |

tbaba1234: If they can easily get teaching jobs, they won't apply for this. Go ask teachers, what they earn.
There is more to ICT than website design and there is a huge deficit in expertise compared to the population size.
Nigeria is not food sufficient in spite of all the farmers so there is a problem somewhere. Knowledge is part of the problem. Knowledge of modern farming methods and techniques.
The government will be giving loans to farmers, marker women and artisans. Stay tuned. any graduate that can't easily a teaching job in Nigeria of today needs to be questioned, i met such people in large numbers during my youth service especially among the ladies. there's a huge demand for private school teachers especially in the sciences, farmers need loans to improve not this program. we also need protection from Fulani herdsmen migrating now as the rains have commenced, we're now too afraid to talk to them when we see them grazing on our farms, this government is always making the wrong choices due to political reasons. |

I know I will enjoy d fruit of my vote. loan from whom? a graduate that really wants to go for his or her masters won't be at home eating free food after youth service, they buy the form during service, save up money and make adequate plans, go to pg schools and ask them their stories. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: N-Power Teacher Corps: FG Begins Recruitment Of 500k Unemployed Graduates by abouzaid: 10:55pm On Jun 08, 2016 |
tbaba1234: You are getting paid to learn skills and contribute to the country's development by transferring those skills to those that need it. The Nigerian economy as it stands can not generate these jobs. It keeps people engaged and offer them opportunities to learn vital skills that can be applied in other areas.
Loans for farmers, market women and artisans will soon be launched. The government has already thought of that.
We do not have an over supply of ICT skills or farmers. sorry bro, it would only breed ghost workers, anybody that wants a better paying teaching job can easily get so why apply for this? for saying that we don't have an over supply of farmers, then you need to pay a visit to the north, what we need is loans with reasonable interest rates, anambra and Lagos alone can supply all our website designers so please we need something else. |

tbaba1234: The amount is small but it gets 600,000 people engaged. It is not about the pay.
It also gives them knowledge in farming and ICT that can be applied independently of government help... The main benefit is the skills which is often lacking amongst graduates not the money. bros, there's no sense for a university graduate to leave a better paying and definitely more supportive teaching job in a private school to slave for 23k in a temporary government work, even the youth service pays more than this if you consider both the state and federal allowances. we already have an over supply of farmers and website designers, what we need are serious farming loans and constant electricity, this government is confused and propandist to a fault. |

the university graduates would be earning #23,000 per month and people are actually hailing this? the total take home pay in my church owned school is about #35,000 per month with a contributory pension scheme for all teachers and gratuity for any teacher that puts in a minimum of ten years in service.my church school is located in a village in the north and doesn't even pay upto what many private owned schools pay in places like abuja and kaduna. this scheme was designed to fail from day one. |

Arent states owing salaries once again?
States need to start thinking strategically the law stipulates that any money accruing to the country should be paid into the federation account, shared between the states and fg, any party is then free to spend their own as they deem fit, paying salaries, paying the 1.75billion budgeted for buhari personal feeding or buying a new luxury boathouse for buratai and his men to host sex orgies parties. this is a democracy. buhari should follow the law. |

donKonji: @OP ur closing out statement is a bit scary for we married men. In my case before I married my wife she confessed she had been banging a senior colleague at her work place but had long quit the lifestyle before we started dating. It wasn't pleasant but I still forged ahead with marrying her because I felt she was penitent. Fast-forward 10 months after marriage, we had a baby boy who shockingly didn't look anything like me or my spouse. Curiously I started researching on her former colleague whom she had a relationship with. To my surprise the man was fair, short and had similar attributes to my son. I quickly had to arrange for a DNA test to confirm if I was really the dad. The lab report came out I was told the child belonged to me with 99.99% certainty. I am still freaked out because the boy has grown and still looks nothing like me but more like the other man. I have secretly ordered 2 more DNA tests and they all came out positive. Just wanted to share this experience because my wife doesn't come across like the flashy type and if she didn't confess her past indiscretions to me I wouldn't have ever known. Looks can really be deceptive. I asked her whether she was a runsgirl in university but she said she wasn't. Don't even know if that's true. I'm shedding tears while reading your comment, to be honest I've so much of similar and other negative experiences with women that i now wonder if marriage is worth it, 33 and still single, I'm really trying hard to convince myself that it's still sensible to love and marry a woman again albeit with a good load of self selfishness for myself too. please don't hate your wife, remember you won't have known if she hasn't opened up to you, also run the dna test secretly in different facilities, women can go at any length to cover up their acts, God would see us through. |

We should tell ourselves the truth cos we cannot continue to play ostrich. I learnt in the news earlier on how about 30 trillion were shared during Gej era when oil price were at optimum level. We should hold those that are responsible for where we find ourselves today, not an innocent man that God sent to liberate us. but you conveniently forgot the the 30billion that disappeared from government account when buhari was the minister of petroleum and was traced to his personal account at Midland bank in London? fela sang much about that but you choose to forget, billions also got mispropriated when he was the ptf chairman and you also forgot about it as well as about other apc financiers like atiku, obasanjo, amechi, tinubu etc. |
