kopell: Thank you bros for full record detailed cost of this project, I hope every one can see for them selves. For those of you that don't know cost nail and giving numbers of building cost. Over 11million has being spent since 2014 when this project started, he has not gotten to roofing, electrical cables accessories, plumbing wares and tailing yet Oooo. Guys don't be discouraged though, a journey of 100 years start with a step. You can do same if you pray and set your priority straight. chairman while you're making a lot of sense, the truth still remains that this is a massive project done without compromise, many three and two bedroom bungalows have been built for a lesser amount, the concrete fascia(parapet) on that house alone would cost more than two plots of land in most parts of Nigeria. |

I'm retiring to Nigeria to further my hobbies. If I was returning to be a socialite then it'll be different. with such a beautiful view, consider adding some sort of penthouse in the future to take better use of the view, just a small structure to chill in while watching whatever is happening in the city down below, won't have to be expensive, your earlier post was a classic. |

nma24: hmmmm.... I wouldn't b surprised if those pests are trying to migrate to this side to avoid the famine... actually they are, the north is experiencing high rate of Desertification, likewise other Hausa speaking countries like Niger, Chad, mali etc, this countries are also awash with high quality guns mostly obtained from the Libya. this supplies an endless army of Fulani mercenaries to wage the jihad. believe it or not, the Fulani herdsmen waging attacks are mostly mercenaries hired by the Fulani that graze cattle. |

franciskaine: Can this institution keep quiet and save us this unnecessary hoopla, we know the economy is down and need no further exaggerated figures to prove this. This was how this same NBS keeps dishing out favorable statistics on the GEJ administration which all came to become paper economics devoid of reality. your post is baseless, NBS is a government owned institution, if they falsify figures, other research institutes like the world bank would publish their own to rubbish their reputation. |

Babayoutoomuch: Pls with ALL sincerity Kindly tell me which is better BUNGALOW or DUPLEX? The problem is not d money mind you. I'm just confused.Kindly help out if you can, its a decision I need to make as soon as possible. Thanks. the best answer depends on your lifestyle, for example, a retirement home for an old couple might be better off been a bungalow for the sake of avoiding old people from climbing stairs, however for a younger couple, a duplex offers many advantages like better view, more prestige,,better management of available land, more privacy for the occupants etc. |

olumide4christ: Thank God you used the word 'seems'. Pls @bobbyunitedfc, don't assume. A land may seem solid enough but a soil test may prove otherwise. If not, why would @Segcymoor be constructing 72 piles for a residential building located behind the Apostolic Church at Alapere in his new thread? The land is not waterlogged or swampy. They must have done a soil test that advised them to do pile & not even raft. Who has money to spend on pile foundation in this change era unless its very necessary To be sure, do a soil test. If you don't have money for a soil test, then simply construct your columns (pillars) to reinforce your bungalow. The question I would like to ask is - how would lintels reinforce a building and transmit the roof load to the ground without pillars? Whoever is saying that seems not to understand much about buildings. Wishing you Godspeed as you continue your projects. the lintels transmits the weight to the weight bearing walls, pillars are good but not necessary in bungalows, this idea of building bungalows with pillars have it's origin in building for hazard prone areas (earthquakes, strong winds like hurricanes and tornadoes) and we don't have those in Nigeria. |

guente02: How can someone be alive and not align his/her future from the get go. Its quite frankly annoying. I only see these girls as s3x object and nothing more because for the most part they've never proved to me as people that'll give me enough joy to propel me further in life and them bringing anything other than thier juice box and fun bags is just another far cry. i don't even treat them as sex objects, any girl that is not serious with her life doesn't have anything doing around me. i only treated them as sex objects during the initial part of my university days when i was desperate to get laid. |

guente02: So how should one go? Because I don't know how to keep a girl that is not industrious, enterprising and zero bar intellectually. It's just so lame when a guy is in it for the pussie and d girl for the money and that's all, take this variables away from the pic and there's no picture. unfortunately most girls are like that,I'm currently scoping another girl to learn handwork without success, they just want to stay at home doing nothing or playing runs girls in campus, most of them can't even bend down and manage a business except the over aged ones, i really want to marry a lady that is less than 30yrs of age to avoid fertility issues but most around are just not serious with their lives. |

Dejiih001: Thanks for this, I've been considering this factor too, only wants to know some other beneficial factors of building one from scratch when compared with buying they are other benefits apart from financial,1)you build the house to your desired strength, believe me,the walls on some houses are so weak that you can't nail anything into them due to the poor strength of the building blocks used 2) you design the floor plan to suit your lifestyle, most commercial properties would be designed as all bedroom en suite to cater for all tastes but if you design your own floor plan, you would actually go for what you need not what is on offer. |

Not necessarily an introvert. how many female bookworms do you know? how many are interested in pursuing any profitable venture worth putting in a great deal of effort? most serious ladies seems to be the overaged, used and discarded types, I'm tired of been a motivational speaker to ladies who should have known better. |

Dejiih001: I intends relocating to Lagos, Ibeju-Lekki area to be precise and after series of consultations I was made to understand that a standard house/apartment in that area will cost me around #40 Millions.
But I wish to know if building a house myself from scratch will still cost as much as that or its just advisable I buy one straight or how possible can I possibly spend less to achieve this purpose?
I will greatly appreciate all your professional advises.
CC: Lalasticlala, Lawyer, Mynd44 on average, building a house yourself is cheaper because the person trying to sell to you is trying to make a nice profit, you would eliminate this by building yourself. |

iPrevail: I'm single because I live in an uncivilized society where females..
1. Contribute almost nothing to a relationship but expect everything.
2. Think having sex with a guy means doing him a big favor.
3. Think being a gf is an actual job where they expect to get paid.
4. Are so emotionally unreliable. Especially where money is a factor.
5. Are not very smart.
6. Don't know how to play console games and hate soccer.
Should I go on? best summary ever, I'm an introvert bookworm who tend to achieve more in life when alone than when in a relationship but my parents are really getting on my nerves to marry for some years now. |
