YES OFCOURSE!

We should know that hymen did not seal va.ginal opening completely. Introduction of se.men in the va.gina through any means apart from actual penetration and thrusting can lead to pregnancy. In fact, I've seen two of such cases.

candy: Please, that sounds too harsh to be a joke! He did not gather this experience in one day, why must he rush over it in one day? Besides, the guy actually has a real life outside Nairaland.

OP, I'm in total support of those encouraging you to write a book. You have the skill, you have the story. I have read so much about the condition of naija prisons in dailies but non this explicit. Your story actually brought tears to my eyes and I couldn't even bring myself to see the humor in it. All I can think about is the fate of the innocent ones in there and what they have to go through, especially that Sule guy another poster mentioned.

Thank you for sharing with us, I pray for God's continued favor and protection over us and our family members, in Jesus name.
Na wao. How I take harsh nw? Do u think I will wish this experience to my worst enemy. Still joke nevertheless. Saying something does not make it happen.

OP thanks for creating awareneness to the plight of prisoners. You won't believe the impact that this thread has made on the Nigerian online community. This will make those in authority to have a rethink and reform the Nigerian prisons. Prison is meant to be a rehabilitation centre, but Nigerian prisons are now a place to train hardcore criminals. The society bears the brunt of this failure of the government to perform its basic duty. This is bad and shameful. Thanks for narrating your experience in a very creative way.

PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 7:47pm On Dec 06, 2013
tensor777: Look the point is that Yakubu Gowon needed to raise money urgently in 1966-67 to prosecute his stand-off with Emeka Ojukwu. So he went about raising 3-month and I year treasury bills which would be paid off at maturity.

There is also the fact that Gowon could not have full access to the Oil until Colonel Adekunle's 3rd Division had captured Port Harcourt in May 1968. There is no way oil could have been a top earner for the Gowonian regime in 1967 because Ojukwu had already seized the on-shore oilfields before the shooting war started and held on to them forthe rest of the year.

The point I have made all along is that that singular achievement of Adekunle marked the end of the war as a strategic contest and that Gowon could fully equip and maintain his 3 divisions until CDS Major General Effiong's capitulation to Colonel Obasanjo at Amichi in January 1970.

Another point is that the Gowonian regime had other revenue sources apart from oil and cocoa. These include export duties on oil palm, rubber, cotton groundnuts Companies Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax. But for the years 1968, 1969 to 1970 oil was top of the list
Why are you dancing around like testicular torsion? Stick to one side and hammer out your opinion. Are you this amorphous in real life? By the way why was the data of 1969 missing? Since the federal troops were in control of the oil fields at that time.
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 7:41pm On Dec 06, 2013
Katsumoto: Do you also have comprehension and reading problems?

I didn't join the debate to prove cocoa funded the war. I merely corrected Tensor who made a wrong claim.

The person I corrected was smart enough not to belabour the point. Only dullards are setting new questions and answering it themselves.

Was Oil a major contributor to Nigerian revenue during the war, the answer is an emphatic NO.
Why should you be the one to dictate the direction of the debate? Why can't you show us with evidence the major contributor to Nigerian revenue during the war? Is it so difficult? You surrendered your moral right to dictate the direction of the debate when you derailed the thread by introducing many unrelated events.
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 4:27pm On Dec 06, 2013
superstar1: which site can be more factual than the cbn report you provided which clearly showed that oil did not finance the war.

if oil did not financed the war, what financed it? Definitely we are an agrarian country before the advent of oil. By simple reasoning, agriculture the major foreign exchange earner and T-Bills finaced it. simple as abc.
Did you read my explanation on why the datas of the crude oil during the war years were missing/sketchy? If you didn't, sorry I can't help you. Though I'd suggest emergency brain transplant.
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 4:22pm On Dec 06, 2013
Katsumoto: Keep quiet you ignorant buffoon.

The debate is not about what was the MAJOR source of revenue during the war; it is about oil not being the MAJOR source.

Oil became the MAJOR source of revenue in 1970, after the war.

You better find your way to a classroom.
Why are you moving the goal post? Who posted a link telling us that oil accounted for 27% share of revenue in 1971? Later stretched it to 1974. Now you have moved back to 1970. Haba, are you Maradona's progeny? grin
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 4:16pm On Dec 06, 2013
Katsumoto: You are a donkey.

Is 30% major in your village? Can 30% be greater than 70%? If you don't know that maybe you should go back to school.

The war ended in January 1970, the revenue of 1970 can't be included you doofus.

GTFOH
Congratulation, you just moved from mumuism to imbecility on my stupidity meter. So you think that oil and cocoa were the only commodities exported pre-1966? You sound pathetic. Yes cocoa took 70% share of revenue. cheesy

Too bad that you don't know that 30% can take the largest share.
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 4:06pm On Dec 06, 2013
Katsumoto: I read it three times just to be sure there wasn't something I was missing.

I made a point that oil was not a major contributor to Nigerian revenue. In 1970 it was just 26%.

And what does the dummy do, he provides stats to prove my point while thinking he is disproving my point.

That is what happens when men get emotional and go sniffing other men's nuts.

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Ndu_chuks,

Please add that your gif of the dog doing a ROTLMAO.
Since you insist that oil was not the major source of revenue, please silence us by providing the major source of revenue with a link to a factual site.

Katsumoto: Can someone explain to that dullard ACM10 that he is confirming my position that oil was not a major contributor to Nigerian revenue during the civil war?

I think he can read but he can't comprehend.

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
See this mumu. Can't you see that oil accounted for over 30% of Nigeria's export in 1966? Ode, where is your 27% figure in 1970? The percentage was 57.6% in 1970. Even at that, the figure was low. Can't you read that the crude oil share of export during the war years were either missing or sketchy? REASON being that proper records were not kept at that time. Nigeria even sold more during the war to meet up with its financial need. Use your brain for once.
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 3:14pm On Dec 06, 2013
Katsumoto: I have been cordial to you in the past; I do not understand the unnecessary attack on my person.

I stated factually that Oil was not the major source of revenue in 1966. See below

'The rapid growth of petroleum revenue in the 1970s removed most of the severe constraints placed on federal and regional or state budgets in the 1960s. Total federal revenue grew from N306.4 million in 1966 to N7,791.0 million in 1977, a twentyfivefold increase in current income in eleven years. Petroleum revenue as a percentage of the total went from 26.3 percent in 1970 to more than 70 percent by 1974-77.'

http://www.photius.com/countries/nigeria/economy/nigeria_economy_government_finance.html

Even as at 1970, Oil only accounted for 26% of total revenue. Your guess is as good as mine with what the percentage would have been in 1966.

Kai Mallam! cheesy

Me throwing a tantrum? You must be laughing hard at that comment. I'm the most emotionally stable poster on this forum. I always criticize Ojukwu where necessary. Unlike that emotionally-labile chief tribalist from the other side who never admits to Awolowo doing wrong. I almost always. agree with a straightforward history of the events that led to the civil war. That's why you should not be surprised with me agreeing with the poster you quoted.

Where did you get this BS from?
PoliticsRe: 'Let’s Go Our Separate Ways, Form Separate Countries’ - Dokubo-Asari by ACM10: 8:57am On Dec 06, 2013
Orlando Owoh: This is your problem, always jumping into conclusion without reasoing. Katsumoto never said Nigeria didn't get revenue from crude oil in the 1960s, but that it was not the major source of revenue. There was cocoa in the west, oil palm and coal in the east, and groundnut and cotton in the north. My friend, it's hightime you visited your grandmother's village for those books.
Another one continues with the damage limitation exercise. Oil displaced those other things that your mentioned as the major source of revenue even as at 1965. That was why it was hard fought. But your. chief tribalist removed it from the equation and indirectly channeled our thought to the useless cocoa.
