FamilyRe: My Dad Has Refused To Rest In Peace Because Of His Monetary Vow In Church by AdaAwka1: 4:57pm On Sep 13, 2021
James4358:
Hello my nairaland family. I'll make this post short & precise... I buried my dad around april this year.

Am the only available child, as my elder brother relocated abroad in january & has refused to make contact. I took a loan to sponsor my bro's trip abroad, & also took another loan from my bank to partly sponsor the burial as all the family burden rested on my shoulders..

Last month, my dad appeared in a dream telling me to hurry up in paying a vow he made in church of abt 50k before he died. I was warming up to pay the vow this month's ending as am stil servicing the loans i got from my bank.

He appeared last week to remind me but yesterday night's own came with severe flocking. Am stil feeling the pains from the cain he used at my back & joints..

How do i contain him before month end when i'll be bouyant to pay the vow.

Am afraid he may return with more beatings,. & am jst 30yrs old, & wouldnt want to have any part of my body deformed as a result.

Your suggestions wil be greatly appreciated!
Your father made a vow to God not you. Remember the bible says that after death comes judgement. Pls dont allow one evil spirit somewhere to be tormenting u over wat u dont know about. Since ur dad is dead then the vow he made is also dead and broken. Rebuke every familiar spirit from ur life

You can do it only if U Will be the one to repay the loan... Your dad is a good man.. it's not all dads that can pay a bribe to make sure their kids secure a job...

I'm guessing part of what he has to repay was those scams.. He took a risk.. assuming it was successful, U wouldn't be here dismissing and blaming him for taking the gamble...

Just tell him that you do not have the capacity to do that... But if U can, Just do it.... But if it's me, I will do it as a form of repayment for all the sacrifice...

Oyibo dey repay the loans wey them borrow as students loan, Botswana dey do am, South Africa the same.. it's only Few countries like Nigeria who can single handedly pay for their kids fees.. Nigerian parents are simply the best... Someone was even suggesting that you break your SIM.. what a world...
Wat a world ooo. Imagine advice that he should break his sim. Papa we take money wey im for use drink shekpe and carry woman see u thru sch. Still bribe ontop for u, he is still asking questions. Mine is he should get half of the money as loan for him simple.

Abeg collect and pay on his behalf if possible. This may just be a window for a divine breakthrough for you with his blessing.
God forbid if he dies now, you may now need borrow to lay him to rest in a befitting burial.
Very true, even if na half collect and give him afterall, men full outside wey no send weather their children go school or not.

Nelchuksmandela:
Good day Niralanders,

I need your sincere advice on my present situation.
Please ignore any grammatical error or punctuation. I’m the first son of my family, my father is an average Nigerian trader, he single handedly sponsored my schooling from nursery to higher institution.

After my service year, one of his friends scammed him of 300k in the name of they will get me a job in NUPENG before he paid that money I told him my pastor’s revelation about the NUPENG job, which my pastor said She does not like the job and shared ill references associated to the job with me and I told my dad when I got home, he countered and rebuked the revelation, he doesn’t take any of our advice, he finally fell for the scam.

To cut the long story short, I’m now working class that earn 75k monthly, however I’m still squatting with a friend and I’m still struggling to survive.

Recently I received a call from my dad, he told me he needs 500k for trading, that he wants me to take loan on his behalf he will be paying the debt once it’s due, since he is yet to complete the outstanding loan he took from the same bank, which is remaining 3 months to complete. I later discovered he had another debt he’s still servicing (Paying ) of a different bank that is remaining 6 months to complete.
After pondering over it i asked him; what if he defaults what will happen ? he shunned me and said why will I be negative and I politely told him my mind that I cannot help the current issue. Since then he started reporting me to my mum relatives to talk to in order to accept and collect the loan of 500k on his behalf.

Please your advise on this will be helpful.
Thank you.
He is your father and saw your through school like you said, so he is a responsible father. I believe your father has debts, cos he still has mouths like your younger ones to feed or train in school, my advice, take a loan but a lesser amount and believe you will be the one to pay it. If u can do 250k, then you have tried am just feeling for him. For ur father to have paid someone to try and get u a job then he loves you and wants wats best for u. Now its ur turn to do wats best for him. Forget about being smart. Find a way to help out even if it's not the whole money.

FamilyRe: Please help!! My sister is being used. by AdaAwka1: 3:43am On Sep 05, 2021
CR777:
My sister is a kind hearted girl, she's been this way since way back.

She gained admission into the university and the place she stays in lacks electricity as it is a village in anambra state, I had to get a solar for her to help her cope with charging her stuffs and also having an illuminated room.

Well, she made friends who are in the same department living in her lodge, at first, they only came to her to charge their phones and reading light and gist but it has now graduated to them eating up all her food whenever they come to her room to charge.
She called today asking me to help her with cash for food stuff, this is someone that went back to school barely two weeks ago with enough cash and food stuffs.

In this life, please try and keep good heart aside and stand up to people who see you as a mugu.

Please nairalanders, how can I advice her?
She needs a brain reset to understand that in life, one has to look out for oneself before others.
Please talk to ur sister, let her know that there should be a limit to everything most especially while in school, so that all these cult boys will not notice her and start to milk her. Let her know that her room should be off limits to others if possible take away the solar light, she should join others to look for how to charge her gadgets. If all these dont work then she needs a change of accommodation asap.
CelebritiesRe: Annie Replies Charles Idibia, 2Baba Brother: Stop Sucking Your Brother Dry by AdaAwka1: 12:15pm On Sep 03, 2021
RiyadhGoddess:
It is shocking to see Annie call out her husband publicly over his constant visit to his baby mama (Pero) & his 3 kids.
Who ever deceived Annie that Tubaba will stick to her only will never see Heaven's gate!
Pero is Tubaba's first Baby Mama (not girlfriend) and their relationship produced odindin omo meta. In Yoruba land, a woman who has a child for a man is no longer regarded or referred to as Ale - Concubine, She is now a wife. Forget religion and western culture now. She will be referred to as wife once she have a child for the man whether they are married or not. Also such woman is entitled to everything the man owns, she is entitled to attend family meetings and events etc let alone a woman who had a whole 3 children for a man!

Now Tubaba left Pero, went ahead to knack what is the name of this mummy GO again?
Their relationship produced 2 cute boys.
The only reason Annie isn't fighting this babe is because the babe decided to move on by getting married. If she hadn't gotten married, today, Annie would have had to contend with two ladies for life Because there's no way you would stop a man from visiting his children and of course, during visits, they must knack!

Children has a way of bringing parents together whether you like it or not. Pero's express way still belongs to Tubaba as long as another man hasn't started plying that route, she's still haven't gotten over him and the 3 kids will one way or the other bring their parents together and even instigate a fresh relationship.

Annie saw all these red flags but choose to play "I WON HIS HEART", " I WON" to pepper the rest. I be babe and we sabi as he dey go - manipulating tricks.

His children, baby mamas will forever be in his life whether Annie likes it or not. Pero son is the first son whether Annie likes or not.
Though she is his first babe but iyen o matter because na who first born be the koko.

She accepted to be his wife despite all that is on ground which means she choose to swallow whatever comes out of it whether it is sweet or bitter. She choose to bear the burns the moment she choose to say Yes I Do to a polygamous man. She should carry her cross for life. She should just chill! That cry that she should have cried when she had just a baby and then move on But refused to move on but rather decided to accept his ring, that cry isn't necessary now.

As for the in-laws, there's is no way they can be shut out of the children's (their nieces, nephews, grand children) Hausa man go say INA! They will not only love the children but their mothers whether Annie likes it or not.

And when Tubaba dies, Na all the women go wear Anko (the same attire) stand together along with their children to honor their Father.
Also first son will be given the privilege to take some decision during family meetings & events too.
Will nko, na everyone go inherit father's property.

Make Annie go take chill pill jor. What she should be concerned about is the welfare of her kids and her which Tubaba is really trying.

As for you ladies wey go see man wey don born scatter full ground still shook head enter in the name of assurance and love this will be your fate! Be ready to become watch lady, monitoring spirit and you will have to be on BP & anti-envy pills for life.

No amount of Jaruma's kayanmatta will save you.

I come in Peace!
Well you have just written a long story about yoruba tradition. Thank God for the Igbo tradition, if you like be the first to have 10male children for the man, so long as he did not carry wine on ur head (marry you) nothing for you when he dies oo. The igbo tradition only recognizes the lawfully married woman. My advice to Annie, is to have enough to take care of her kids, show Tuface more love and less trouble, show same towards his family and she will see how things will change

In my tribe, once a married woman lays down with another man who isn't her husband, the man's or her ancestors ancestors will attack her either through their kids,or the man if he's aware of his wife's atrocities but chose to keep mute..

And you as the man who laid down with her will be the one to provide all the sacrifices..Them no dey go church reach that side undecided

Slimslimqq:
My kid just was just promoted to nursery 1. initially he was in play group and his school fee was 25k which I pay almost thrice before the term ends, and I was still complaining that the fee is too much for such class.

But now, he's been promoted to nursery 1 and the school fee is almost double the former fee(40k).
How many times will I pay this one bayi? (Maybe 10 times) embarassed

I have been thinking, isn't this wickedness, how would u be expecting 40k for a nursery 1 pupil per term.

Abi its poverty thats making me think like that, or maybe its normal.

Note that, this school is the most affordable in my vicinity. Just a 3 mins walk from my house.

I'm thinking of looking for another school maybe still faraway a bit, but the school fee isn't high, I don't mind taking my time daily to take him to such school.
Remember that if you go too far you might have to spend a lot on transport. If you can, let the school know u will pay in instalments. Times are hard and schools ain't even helping, it's not as if they will even increase teacher's salaries.
EducationRe: Isn't This Too Much For A Nursery 1 Pupil?(picture Attached) by AdaAwka1: 5:08pm On Aug 18, 2021
Infact we are currently protesting on my kid's school WhatsApp forum. Pry 4 and 5 are to pay 60k each while my nur 2 and pry 3 55k. Anyway me I will not change their school cos I love the school, but I will be paying small small. I no fit shout, since they dont want be considerate. And it's a church school for that matter, one of the biggest churches in Nigeria now.If I have 10k today I will go and pay at least by the end of the session I would have finished paying for all 3.

As for me if you like have the whole money in the world, I dont care. Material things dont freak me. Cos not all that glitters is Gold. Someone might steal or kill someone make money and buy a big car and house, then one foolish person will now start to envy or over respect the person not knowing how the person got the money.
