Hello everyone, hope everyone is steady progressing on their Canadian dream.

There's no way I could let this day go by without coming back here to share my joy. The journey that started in 2019 has finally come to an AMAZING end. Today I became a Canadian citizen and the feeling is soo surreal. I can't believe it even though I knew that was the end goal but experiencing it is a completely different feeling.

I'm pretty sure most of my set are no longer here but I thought to report back after I embarked on this journey. Yes, I'm over the moon but I really came here to thank everyone for keeping this thread going for several years and counting. The resources and help gotten from this thread are immeasurable.

For all those still going through this process I wish you the very best and may your journey be as smooth or even smoother than mine. THANK YOU!!!

I understand. You guys had to defend your hero.

Mind you I’m done with the whole process and moved long ago but I still come here from time to time to read success stories cos every normal human being should derive joy from people’s progress.

I know your type that acts like you have a thick skin and I can’t argue with that, your hate and bitterness is skin deep so your “thick skin” is expected. When everybody goes close the gate with your pessimistic self.

You don't have to feel duty-bound to congratulate everyone when they get PPR. You can't do that forever. Give yourself a break from time to time. I come in peace smiley

You’re a bitter, nasty and negative person. This is not the spirit that flows on this thread. Every little achievement is celebrated and applauded but the venom in you can’t let you celebrate people or allow others celebrate them. Why are you here with such a spiteful attitude? May you find healing so good things can come to you. You come in peace, the peace you come with will stagnate you angry

sorry for the late reply, but I don't think this applies to visitors, I think you have to go back to your home country to apply

NaijaCanadian28:

Hello
Thank you for this information. Can a visitor in Canada use this option as well? Pls I would appreciate if you can also add the steps involved with doing Dropbox application. Thank you

I don’t know if I’m late with this information but it might help someone, if I knew earlier I wouldn’t have made some silly mistakes or missed my cousin’s wedding. So if you want to RENEW your American visa, the Dropbox option is still very much available. I thought I needed an appointment date and with my Naija mentality I just assumed e go tey. Only for me to try 2 weeks ago and realized I could do drop box. Anyway it took just 1 week for the visa to be issued.

Please note that I put RENEW in caps, if it’s a first time application you need an appointment date.
I did mine in Calgary incase anyone is wondering.

Thanks for reading lol wink

Hi people, its been a minute since I was here, quick question,
Why do we use insult as a response to opinions we don't agree with?
we should be unlearning somethings o and learn how to have civil conversations/arguements
when you go back and read how you responded, are you proud of yourself?
I'm sure in your resume you wrote "excellent communication skills" lipsrsealed
I've said my own o, before you respond with insult refer to lines 2 - 4
anyway I'm in Calgary and as an ambivert I can't say I'm bored but I miss my friends
I'm also open to new and meaningful friendships. cheesy

Amaka your responses amaze me. Do you want to pursue the issue or not? Answer that question cos the only thing I’ve seen you do here is counter each advice. Sis make a decision and stand by it.

If you want to pray and wait and move in with your “in-laws” to be answering “our wife” of a man who has ghosted you, then do it.

If you choose to deal with it because you’re somebody’s child and your emotions are toyed with, you have also been provided with a plethora of approaches to fight back.

I empathize with you but serve him instant karma and own it with your chest.

I have tried my best to water down exactly what I wanted to say but sis you can chose to be a glorified help for your in-laws or Bleep shit up and leave.

I have been biting my tongue since I started reading this story but let me just say I LOVE YOU.

To whom it may concern please read the below..

Know this and know peace.......YOU ARE NOT A REHABILITATION CENTRE. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR A TOXIC BEHAVIOUR. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO BABYSIT ANOTHER NAUGHTY GROWN PERSON WITH PRAYERS AND FASTING. IT IS NOT ANYONE'S JOB BUT THE SILLY PERSON's TO FIX THEMSELF.

It's not like BC is hot either .... Lol. It's also cold. May not be as cold as calgary or whatnot, but if the idea is to run away from the cold. Canada isn't the place to try and run away to. Lol. But standard of living is a bit high. One of the most expensive places to live in Canada is BC, Vancouver.

Specifics would probably be better(as regards what you wanna know )

Hi guys, its been a hot minute, I just returned to Calgary on sunday after almost a year since I left, I'm currently on day 7 of my quarantine. My thing is the way this cold has shown me pepper these few days I'm beginning to have second thoughts about settling in Calgary. I've never liked cold weather even in Nigeria, I rarely use AC or even drink cold water. I was discussing with my brother and its looking like BC is the place for me. Now here comes my worries, I had a very soft landing (no stress at all) as my SIL was ever willing to put me through everything and drive me everywhere. Moving to BC won't be easy as I don't know anyone or anywhere. I'm currently job hunting so I would appreciate any tips on what to look out for when renting a place, standard of living etc. thank you

Please I want to understand, do you need to pay to have an Express entry profile or you can just create one? Or is the payment done when you get an invitation to apply ITA?

Hi I'm an alumni just a phone call is all you need to do (it was unbelievably easy). Get the following ready:

1) Your card details for payment over the phone
2) WES ref number (they already have the address)
3) Your student number

they charged about 10 quid last year not up to 15 quid. Good luck
goldbergg:
Anybody here who attended Dundee? I want to know if they have been able to get the University to send transcript to WES and how long it took
