The country is infrastructurally-challenged. Travel by road, you cannot drive up to 100km without potholes, diversion or moving from a dual carriage way to a single lane. We are unable to maintain roads built in 70s and 80s and 90s not to talk about new ones even though our population has doubled. How can Pakistan with similar demography and political system have about 300k km of paved road while Naija has less than 100k km? How can we spend N7 out of every N10 we make on salaries and political appointees? We invest N3 out of every N10 on capital projects. The reverse should be the case if we want to grow. |
mejai: hmmn. everybody is talking about rice here and nobody is talking about the fish in d topic. local produced fish is not enough for d nation to consume and available ones r expensive. I perceive lack of fish in our food soonest. They don't want to see it cos they have selective vision. Also, how can u be making Benin richer to the detriment of our economy? |
kaboninc: I had to copy this definition from Google to buttress my pointMJ has some unique athletic ability as gift..had he not worked hard, he would have still been better than Nate Robison. Potentiality as espoused by Aristotle, is that which has the " possibility" of happening while actuality is that, which is currently happening and it's referred to as entelechy.. Refer to ur Philosophy 101 manual. |
kaboninc: I strongly disagree.I disagree, innate gift is your talent. Micheal Jordan, 6.6ft, is a talented athlete while Nate Robinson, 5.9ft, 3x NBA Slam Dunk Champion, elevated his potentials to actuality through hardwork. |
Potentiality is that dream, vision and idea without action. Actuality is that dream, vision and idea set in motion by your hustle and determination. There is no actuality without potentiality. To put things in context, Nigeria is potentiality without actuality while Malaysia is potentiality on wheels racing towards actuality. It's not only peculiar to men, a lot of single women out there do not know what to do with their lives if that "husband"doesn't come their way. |
Davijunson: I hope this drug works so dat America will be put to shame. So that Naija will be put to shame for not being prepared and taking care of her citizens |
Philipmems: I am not a member of his denomination but having heard from both parties I will live you to be the judge considering what women and men are capable of doing.. Pastor Chris O. accused his wife of having bad friends who are influencing her wrongly, she no longer respects anyone especially in the church. He even said that at one time he called the wife so they can settle there differences but she refused to take anything short of a Divorce from the pastor.Reasonable people take responsibility while delusional jerks blame somebody or satan. Wayo pastor with wife scamming folks since 0000BC |
prettyboi1989: poor man u still in d age of mb? get a life, i dnt use mb dummy. What a display of sophisticated idiocy brought to you by failed Naija education system. |
dotcomnamename: [size=15pt]Michael Owen before the game:Michael Owen is a hypocrite... "H" is not silent. |
Op is on point. Naija had no designated quarantine facility until Patrick Sawyer came. No testing lab for Ebola. Patrick Sawyer's test was sent to Sierra Leone while he was still infecting people. Could you image if we had the lab in Naija, level of contact with primary and secondary suspects should have been contained. |
prettyboi1989: So its you whoz got intelligent tinz 2 say? By berating d way I type, by d way ow does it affect ur life? Watz ur bizness wif ma post? I knw wat I wrote n I c no essence in the guy's criticisms when he himself isn't in a better place 2 c wats going on.Stop wasting your MB. You are not making any sense! |
LesbianBoy: Most Nigerian men are very FOOLISH and are the biggest MAGAS in the world. If you doubt, ask yourself, how many movies have cossy orjiakor and danielle okeke featured in that they are able to build their kind of houses. Its very obvious that one DESPERATE, PUS5Y-WHIPPED MUMU ''toaster'' somewhere is behind all this. Thats how the other day, bloggers reported danielle okeke was on ''vacation'' abroad and i also learnt she lodged in a big hotel were they pay so much money. How many movies she don act bikonu? Which known endorsement does she have? So where are all these money she is spending coming from? Even the likes of genevieve nnaji, chika ike and co. Though they have featured in many movies, but they don't make that much in the movie industry(thats why they shoot movies up to part 4), yet they are buying flashy cars and building big houses. They even have the guts to attribute it to ''Hardwork''. Who are they decieving? Infact they must be mad! Hardwork ko.......Softwork ni!Haters will always hate what they cannot replicate in their lifetime and lineage... |
victorazy: Oga no vex! Is Angela Merkel a doctor? While your doctors are sacked?? Oyibo doctors attending to him while you are denied Naija doctors?? |
henrysam: God bless you my president. Godogain will kill your enemies.Show me pics of Angela Merkel vacationing in South Africa, USA, UK.. Naija is wasted with this type of leadership.. Show us pics of him with Angela Merkel and her officials.. |
lokoloko84: Then you can tell some of us,why your fellow doctors are now begging USA to release zmapp. This post is not meant for frozen brains like u. U can never get it! |
Can we thank great scientists and researchers who have used their God-Given Brains to develop this drug? |
McLuhan: I declare in the name of Jesus Christ that this disease will not spread beyond control; neither will it destroy the destinies of our young people and of our country.Quit over bogging God! He has given the brains to go conquer the world. God cannot do it for u, only U can! |
Women love "M"= marriage, make-up, mugu, maga, motor, mansion etc |
Naija, doing same over and over and expecting SAMs result. Fashola did it and went. IBB did with ASUU.. GEJ towing the same line. Doctors will always win! It takes a drunken sailor 10 seconds to fire doctors who spent average of 12yrs to get trained.. It's going to take Naija 20 yrs to replace these doctors. |
Solozzo: Can you give us a link regarding the clinical trials done by this illustrious son of Africa did with nano silver, including animal studies? We should be more scientific in our thinking. This nano silver was being sold online by some fraudulent persons and u are supporting them. Shame.!!Trying to make logical sense with Nigerians is like asking snakes not to bite.. Good luck! |
Naija consuming stupidity since 0000BC.. Instead of blaming our leaders for their unpreparedness, we are blaming. Ebola is a tropical disease, yet US, Japan, and EU are better prepared. Naija had no specifically designated facility for Ebola until Patrick Sawyer came. Others believe in science and innovation, we believe in luck and religion. |
ola9ja: America! America! America!Manufacturing stupidity since 0000BC |
cirmuell: Give us Ur serum, you refused. We came up with a 'likely' cure you're whining again...for petes sake what really do the US govt want?Always wanting freebies... Does Naija give out free oil to Ghana? We spent $400m on non functional CCTV cameras.. Naija doesn't even have a lab to detect Ebola.. Doctors sacked while out politicians travel abroad to get treated for headache. |
GEJ is intoxicated with power.. To whom the gods wish to destroy, they would first nuke their common sense and send Ebola as desserts.., |
When u challenge them on facts they call u partisan. When u challenge them on misleading folks with pseudo data, they call u unptatriotic and enemy of progress. They just want to make up their data; want make up their own results; make up their own grades..they hate the truth like Ebola.. One day they are going to find my posts where I bashed the Cabals for refusing to hand over to GEJ.. Hopefully they will find my voter's card where I voted for GEJ.. wait, emm.. Not gonna happen cos I'm a paid partisan. |
Homar: Yet some mumu nigerians are hustling to go over there . No patriotism in our nation .Wait make Boko Haram catch u in ur back yard...Make ur black leaders treat u like ants.. ur leaders will give orders to police to " shoot at sight" fellow black niggas |
jmaine: MAN has their in house data collection system and they just reeled them out in page one . . . .Conjectures and pseudo data powered by Ikebe Super... |
jmaine: Old Man, you were the one who imported Dangote into the discussion. No ? . .Keep calling names. Just show us the source of MAN's numbers?? Break it down for us... |
jmaine: I also got mine from Dangote , despite you denying the obvious . . . After bringing in the 'Dangote' angle to marshal your points, you are suddenly back tracking after been found wanting . . . . .Stay on the topic son! It ain't about Dangote but about MAN's numbers.. |
jmaine: Have you seen the Dangote number of Job created in his sugar industry alone . . . . extend such gesture to his cement e.t.c industry and tell us why you shouldn't be ashamed for your bizarre dose of stupidity . . . . .I got my number from Dangote.. Which was also cited by CNN. I was using Dangote's workforce as an example of what it would take to generate manufacturing job for 1.5million workers.. This discussion is not about Dangote per say, but MAN's phoney numbers. |
jmaine: I did rather take MAN well research figures than an e-Nonentity trying to refute them in the most useless manner . . . .MAN isn't responsible for collating and analysing job figures.. NBS is, and SGF is the supreme "court" of facts and figures in Naija.. Okonjo Iweala and co cited these NBS numbers in the past. Let me educate u once again.. MAN says 1.5million manufacturing jobs while Naija public officials say 1.3 million all-sector jobs! Does it mean that Naija generated 2.8 mil jobs in 2013? |
jmaine: You are not smart at all, let me embarrass you here once more like I have always done . . . .JOB CREATION FIGURES FOR Q2-Q4 2013 SECTOR Q2 Q3 Q4 FORMAL 80,412 76,385 101,597 INFORMAL 112,567 140,673 143,278 PUBLIC 28,075 28,931 20,827 TOTAL 221,054 245,989 265,702 Nigeria generated 1.3 mil jobs according Statiscian General of the Federation. Therefore, manufacturing could not have generated 1.5mil jobs in the same year. QED Source: Office of the Statistician-General of the Federation, May 2014 |
