jmaine: Quit your blatant idiocy . .Let us view Dangote number of jobs created in his cement industry alone . . . .Statistician General of the Federation confirmed that 1.3mil jobs were created in 2013, which includes all sectors of the economy.. Not manufacturing generating 1.5mil jobs... Idiocy begetting idiocy since 100BC https://m.premiumtimesng.com/news/161506-nigerian-government-create-1-6-million-jobs-2013-statistician-general.html |
jmaine: Quit your blatant idiocy . .Let us view Dangote number of jobs created in his cement industry alone . . . .I'd take Dangote's published figures over your source... Your source is secondary while Dangote's source is primary. BTW, back to the topic. We need 150 Dangotes to generate 1.5mil manufacturing jobs. So at rate how many jobs like other sectors like oil, banking, telecom, entertainment create? It could mean that other sectors generate another 3.5 million jobs. So Naija generates 5 million jobs? Nigeria created 1.3 mil jobs in 2013 according govt officials like Iweala, Okukpe, SGF. So manufacturing cannot account for more than national figure, which includes manufacturing. So these numbers from MAN are hogwash! https://m.premiumtimesng.com/news/161506-nigerian-government-create-1-6-million-jobs-2013-statistician-general.html |
atlwireles: VENTURES AFRICA – The manufacturing sector is now the major driver of economic growth in Nigeria, the latest economic report by Renaissance Capital, reveals.Show me 100 companies like Dangote that generate their power that would create 1.5m manufacturing jobs. Just make up 100 names! BTW, Innoson uses generating sets and diesel for their operations.. |
Osode: Em... Dangote is actualy doing about 120,000 and not 12,000 (and this figure is actualy common knowledge). That was what prompted him to tell an elated GEJ that his $1bn rice initiative will do 180,000 farm jobs at the MOU signing days back!!Common knowledge is from: 12K http://dangote.com/newsandevents/pressreleasesnigeria.aspx. |
jmaine: Read the article above and stop making a mess of yourself here, straw grasping to no where . . . .U have problem grasping logical and statistical numbers... It would take 10k Smes to generate 1.5m manufacturing jobs. SMEs are connected to National grid, which supplies 3424 MW.. It's unfathomable to generate these numbers without steady power. No power no SME! |
jmaine: It is cynic folks like you who believe the fable that says over 70% of Nigerians live below $2 a day. Common sense should tell you that Nigeria with a population of over 160 million, with a large demography of able and agile youths with high unemployment numbers is capable of generating thousands of SMEs, which in turn will employ people both directly and indirectly . . .U will never get it.. In simple terms, show me 150 companies that are as big as Dangote that can employ 1.5m manufacturing workers |
atlwireles: You are a waste of my time. Have a good day.Yours is a carefully crafted way to espouse ignorance in order to misinform and win debates.. Who in their right mind doesn't know that Naija generates 4k MW of electricity??Matter of fact, Naija generates 3,424MW. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/nigeria-s-paltry-power-output-to-fall-with-repair-of-gas-plants/180097/ |
jmaine: You are just "tail chasing" to no where in your bid to justify your hideous cynicism . . . . . .Folks like u hate scrutiny of facts;that's why salt bathing is soothing for u. Dangote group. The largest conglomerate in W/Africa has 12,000k workers including manufacturing and managerial. So for Naija to have created 1.5m jobs in manufacturing, it means Naija produced 150 Dangotes in a year and they all built conglomerates as big as Dangotes. Small minds like u can never get it! http://dangote.com/newsandevents/pressreleasesnigeria.aspx |
atlwireles: Who told you Nigeria generates 4000MW?What's Nigeria's MW output? Folks like u can never get it that a sector-manufacturing cannot generate 1.5mil jobs. It's unrealistic and manufactured for folks like u. |
jmaine: Have you factored in the millions of jobs created by American companies who moved to China . .If those companies were in America employing several millions, will your figures still be valid ?Jobs created by US companies in China are Chinese jobs! |
atlwireles: So, what's your point?Naija cannot create 1.5million jobs in manufacturing alone in a year with 4000 mega watts? Got it ![]() |
jmaine: A developing economy like has will tend to have more springing factories than the advanced countries with a more robust economy. And common sense should also inform you that most of the US manufacturing was shifted to China for obvious reasons. If the Apples of this world e.t.c had their numerous manufacturing plants in the US. Do you still think that paltry 500k jobs quoted will stand ?US creates about 2 million jobs in all sectors in a year with 316 million folks working in a $16tn economy. Naija creates 1.5 million Manufacturing jobs alone? Just in one sector??Which could mean that Naija creates about 5 million jobs annually. Naija is about $700bn economy with 170m folks. |
jmaine: Very weak attempt . .Poor comprehension and analytical skill! 290k of ALL jobs not manufacturing jobs.. Naija is wasted with folks like u.. No wonder folks like u invented salt water bath |
Politicians misleading Naija since 100BC! USA with $16tn economy generated 500k manufacturing jobs in 3 years While Naija with $600bn economy generated 1.5mil jobs in a yr. How come Naija is not China? www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2013/feb/12/barack-obama/barack-obama-says-us-has-created-half-million-manu/ |
Lordlexyy: That's what he is. The joke is on you to disprove his integrity and honesty. His stallion qualities are chronicles for us to see except for folks who finds fault when there is none. He remains the only leader so far in the history of this country that nobody has been able to bring any charges against. If you think there's any both as an head of state and ptf chairman, oya mr. Find fault, do justice to my curiosity.Spare us your jaundiced history. Has anyone brought any charges againt IBB? Buhari was summoned by Oputa panel and he refused to show up... |

So what do you want to know? I sense some insecurity going on here? What does he do? What do you do? |
aaronson: Personally verbal english and written english has never been a problem, reason why?I thought "have" should "ve been used? Rules of concord. |
continentalceo: I see how your comment just totally reversed the situation and made the nigga not have 3wives and 8kids Einstein. And as for the BH boys, blame it on the lack of system and corruption that has eaten deep into our country system since the time of General OBJ and General Buhari.U should try harder! Having 3 wives with 8 kids is pure irresponsibility. He's broke and can't take care of himself let alone the kid. |
continentalceo: Why do nigerian love to complain over spilled milk, if you castigate him dose it change the fact that he is got 3wives and 8kids? Common why not wish the Nigga luck and Pray for him instead of spitting shit from pretending asses! You married just one wife/husband, those that make you perfect or a saint? Some of you here a murderers, liers, cheats etc...so if a nigga chose to marry 3wives pray for him and wish him luck! Afterall some of you here fought for the demonic arrangements called "Gay Rights". Naija people repent!Typical Naija moronic reasoning. If he could not take care of his health, how can he take care of 8 kids? No wonder we have more kids joining BH than going to school. |
tochukwuifeduba: IGBO JEWS UNITE WITH ISRAEL UNDER THE BANNER OF THE ONLY TRUE GOD JEHOVAHFolks binging on stupidity since 1800! How can someone claim that he comes from Isreal that was created in 1947? This is an insult to indigenous Igbo people |
aisha2: Again judging someone you know nnot by your low standards. As I prayed earlier, the day rumour mongers find you may God send you helpers to defend you, same way I am defending her. What makes u an arbiter of who knows her better? So in anonymous forum, you are the only who can tell us " good" things about her? I hate when folks think that their subjective/limited info is a compendium of "facts". |
aisha2: In summary: His first wife ran off years ago so far away that she didnt even come for her own sons wedding people are saying it was because of abuse. You missed the part when she was Azonto/Runs Girls.. Not defending governor Chime. |
chukwuma101: Adichie's brand of feminism is exactly what feminism shouldn't be about. Feminism calls for a level playing ground for both genders and not the unwarranted 'upliftment' of females above the male folk. Females are entitled to everything a man is entitled to in nigeria. The apparent disparity in the distribution of genders socially, politically, academically etc that seems to favour males is a function of the innate complexes of the female gender. A female that intends to succeed must beat down these complexes not the male folk as Adichie supposes. Adichie is very eurocentric, she writes not for Africa, but for Europe. She thinks she is a tour guide laden with the responsibility to explain African "(un)civilisation" to Westerners. She appeals to the West to garner international recognition. She tells them everything is wrong with the way we raise our girls because she knows it will please Western civilisation to hear that. But her views are jaundiced and misleading to those who see Africa through her eyesight. She endorses African women not to take on their husband's surname while in the same breath tells them to eschew artificial hairdo. This highlights her confusion. She is a selective feminist. Adopting the side of the coin that advances her pseudo-intellectual ideology and avoiding the other. But there are always two sides to a coin. She wants to westernise Africans, but she is undecided. She is caught in-between...Good writing skills! |
liberty300: This man is always sharing money. Came to ma church the other day and did same. If I was him, I would have used the money to do something instead of giving it out like thatFolks who have less always want to "teach" folks who have more how spend their spend their money . If u are that smart, you should be giving out $1bn. |
Naija manufacturing stupidity since 1430!! |
Another conduit to siphon money... |
Eziachi: If you believe this propaganda, you can also believe also that the earth is flat. That's not true.. Ekwueme gave 1 million Naira to NPN in 1970s.. Putting that number in context, Dangote started with N500K loan from his uncle in 1970s.. Critics charged that Ekwueme bought his VP ticket as the highest bidder. He started one of the few indigenous architectural and urban planning firms in Naija that got govt and corporate contracts. Also well educated with US and UK degrees.. Did he enrich himself while in office,yes..but not better than Shagari who surrounded himself with smarter crooks who used him-Shagari to gain inordinate wealth.. They later turned him in when he was overthrown.. |
overhypedsteve: nobody asked you to pull out this shameful stats from yur a55, yuh still dont know what the op is talking abt, i jst wonder how you ve managed to avoid understandn this simple ish the op is saying, we re talking abt passion for something and you re busy pulling out stats from your a55You keep deluding yourself that we are "the best" in this and that... Just tell me who are we comparing our "best" to? A comparison is based on 2 or known conditions. Your posts are indicative of typical Naija mentality- inasmuch it doesn't affect us, it doesn't exist. Same way politicians ignore poverty rates because they are not affected; same way they ignore life expectancy because they can afford to go abroad for medical care. |
overhypedsteve: give it a break bro, why do you want to ruin such a nice thread. Nigeria have the world highest child illiteracy ratio? Is that what the op is talking about he is actually talking about the do or die passion we have for degrees and certs, or have you ever wondered why OBJ at his age went back to school, we re talking about two different things here. And i promise you that with recent development new stats may show a reduction in childhood illiteracy in nigeria, thank you.Dream on! Naija always using outliers as average. OBJ is an absurd example. How about that child selling "pure water" on the street? Literacy level in Naija is 60%, meaning only 6 out 10 Nigerians can read and write. Nigerians you see abroad are the best Naija has to offer, but it doesn't mean that everyone in Naija is like that. About 70million Nigerians can't read and write. |
neuljosh: whatever facts you think you have, I don't think it surpasses the reality that make same Nigerians the most educated people in the US. Also do know how many thousands of Nigerians are currently studying abroad?? Forget about that you read online or from the Media, Nigerians take education far serious than most western worldsWhy does Naija like to manufacture stupidity where is no need for it? U cited what the "MEDIA " told u that Nigerias are one of the most educated folks in the US; and U rejected what the same " MEDIA" told u that Naija has one of the highest child illiteracy rates in the world..it's either we keep living in denial or accept it and solve the problem. Facts are facts! |
goldfish80: neuljosh: 9. Nigerians take education too seriouslyDelusion of grandeur! We have the highest child illiteracy in the world. Folks under Taliban rule in Pakistan send more kids to school than Naija |
