Elizdee please I would like your input on this. Thanks adeenzo: I think it’s your total band score that they are after. Please was eligibility review started before you received this NSE request?? cos I am also a sept applicant and my eligibility review has started since, I am guessing that’s why I didn’t get an NSE request from IRCC. |

Elizdee: Hello friends!!
I just got my NSE request for only my IELTS result to be submitted within 13 days.
My challenge is : I wrote ielts few months ago and I made 7:0 in all except reading which I made 5:5. Overall band score is 7.0
I don’t know if this result can fly because I don’t think I am ready to write ielts again after two sittings.
Please advise me accordingly I think it’s your total band score that they are after. Please was eligibility review started before you received this NSE request?? cos I am also a sept applicant and my eligibility review has started since, I am guessing that’s why I didn’t get an NSE request from IRCC. |

OtunbaTee: Hello please have a stronger home tie..using my sister worked against me in 1st application, now I'm using my wife as home tie... I highly doubt that your sister who is a citizen or PR holder was the sole reason for your initial denial. Then if it’s that I have no hope cos everybody in my family are Canadian citizens and there is no way you won’t declare such in the family information IMM form and also I have no home ties, not married, no kids, just currently working as an IT systems administrator in a fintech company.. |

demoah: Good day house. I have a question and your answer will be appreciated. Does having a sibling as a Canadian citizen favour or work against you in your study visa application? Is it necessary to submit his passport bio data page? This sibling is not posing as a sponsor and is not getting involved in the whole process (he can if necessary), but parents have enough to sponsor and 80% of a year tuition has been paid already. Is this sibling going to prove as a “too strong” family tie to Canada? Your response would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance. it’s okay if you have siblings, I myself all my siblings were born in Canada, I literally have no family ties to Nigeria, my mom too became a citizen of late, it’s only dad that isn’t too freaked out Canada.. so to answer your question, yes it’s okay to have siblings, you can submit his/her passport bio page, but Canada will still make their research.. Hope this helps |

BlegendE: Is SAIT university a good one?. Yes yes yes... it’s a polytechnic actually but damn it’s a very good school, I have visited both NAIT and SAIT, although NAIT is slightly cheaper cos it’s in Edmonton while SAIT is in Calgary, all the same they are top institutions. I am actually going to NAIT this winter. The hands on practicality experience is awesome. I highly recommend the school. |

recxa: Hi guys. I applied for my study visa(four years undergrad) on October 15 and my request to go for biometrics came out the same day. I then did the biometrics on the 30th of October due to the protests that was going on. My sister applied(2 years Masters)earlier this year and her study visa was granted within a month plus. When I went to their website to check the processing time, I saw 14 weeks. Just yesterday, it's been changed to 15 weeks. My school is resuming on January 11 and I deferred the admission before. What do you think I should do? Defer the admission again? Also, do you guys think an account statement of 50M+ is enough to get me this visa? I did an upfront medical test after my application was submitted (27th of October) too and the wait is killing me lol since I used an agent and I really don't know what's going on. I await your favorable response. Thank you. I always tell people this; you have to be really patient here, Canada will test your patience to the core. You have done your biometrics and upfront medicals, honestly all you can do right now is wait.. there are some people that submitted august/sept and still nothing yet. Please just be patient. And yes the funds that you have is more than enough, and I hope it’s from within your nucleus family. |

OtunbaTee: .
Pls I'll like to know if: 1. You did medicals after you submitted your application 2. Before submitting application, or 3. After you got request from IRCC to go n do it.
Because I want to do too, I have submitted my application since October 8th but no requested from them yet, and I dont want to do medical exam and the thing won't upload on my status online. If you have the monetary resources to go for your medicals now please do it, as appointment dates are running thin already. conversely, if you want to wait for them to request your medicals then that's left to you as well. Hope this helps |

HorlarJP: Going to a month since i did my biometrics and no message from IRCC.... my program starts in January 6 and not even a medical request not to talk of AIP, PPR etc.... the wait is killing me geez.... Please what happens if my application is not finalized until my school resumption? Hello HolarJP, I will advise you to exercise a lot of patience, this Canada thing will test your patience, we have September applicants that haven't gotten medical requests, Canada is not in a haste at all oo, there is no method towards the way they are reviewing applications now ooo, nobody can categorically tell you at so so period you should expect to hear from IRCC. That been said, I would advise you to contact your school and get a better understanding of either their online learning procedures or semester deferment if you want that, lastly, I would advise you to book for your medicals from either qlife or IOM as appointment dates are running thin now |

Horlaidey007: Pls my hubby would like to pursue is Msc in cybersecurity in Canada and preferably New Brunswick institutions and looking at Sept 2021. Pls, i would like to know if me as his dependent can also go with him with a work permit visa while he study. Kindly pls advice. It's possible but there are so many mitigating factors. 1. for you to have a work permit, a company (LMIA) in Canada must have given you an employment letter before you even begin the work permit process. 2. It might count against your husband when it comes to family ties in his home country, it is better he goes alone so that he has you (his wife) and if you guys have kids, as his family ties to comply him to coming back 3. My overall advice is that you guys should try the express entry, it might be a better route for you. Please wait for the gurus in the house to give more inputs |

Bbio: Blessed day to you all, please I'm trying to confirm the information given to my brother by an agent that, all process on students visa are currently on hold,he currently has an admission letter from Cape Breton college, paid all the fee to the agent, and is it true Canadian visa office in Lagos is currently closed?pls help me with any info necessary. Sigh, this isn't true at all, honestly, I am not trying to be a downer but using an agent just brings an air of uncertainty with your application and even making the applicant to be in the dark. THERE IS NO HOLD ON STUDY PERMIT APPLICATIONS. His application was online? |

olasubomy: Hi Adeenzo, has the hospital sent you sms to confirm thay have sent your result to the embassy? they would need to first send your medical result to the embassy. If the answer is yes, give it another 1 week or two and send another webform to the embassy (put in details the day you recieved confirmation your result was sent to the embassy, the day you went for your upfront medicals) and attach the e-medical slip given to you. They will update your medicals in due time. Ohh shoot!!! I uploaded my e med sheet and sent the webform immediately I left the hospital, I didn't know I had to wait (get a confirmation text) before sending the webform |

Phatkayconcept: You seems to be in a deep hurry, September application and you are already looking for update.
Guy, get yourself busy and check your dashboard once in a while.
Many update receiver on the platform are people that applied some 5 months+ above.
Cool down and enjoy your daily activities Thanks for your input, don’t get me wrong though I know this journey takes a lot of patience and I am also not trying to be too hung up on this visa application processing, but like I said from you own experience what do you think? Today makes it 77 days of no communication from IRCC and that’s quite worrisome. I just had to do my medicals (last week) on my own volition. I fully understand that people have gone five months or so, but if I had something like AIP or so atleast I would be at rest, but with this, I am in the dark... and now I am at crossroads do I defer (deferment deadline for my school is dec 9th) or I just continue the journey and be optimistic. |
