NNPC isn't NIMC o,they even go ahead to request for your academic transcripts (those guys are serious )after you have been employed .Process that is undergoing audit at every phase .

I have given up on advising people to stop spreading that negative thinking.

That was how my colleague's brother was ranting that DPR was not recruiting on merit, that the interview was just a formality, that he was asked the name of the senator representing his district (as if many others were not asked current affairs) blablabla.

The guy got the job eventually and could not eat his words after blackmailing DPR.

Someone I brought to Lagos - a brilliant guy but not so exposed then - that stayed with me while doing NYSC, that I was the one that shared interview tips with right in my sitting room, got NNPC job in 2012. He didn't know anybody. Although he didn't take it (on my advice too).

These are few examples of people that dont know anybody in NNPC or DPR.

Look, we can't deny that people get into these places by connection, but I have seen enough reason to believe that up to 70% is based on merit. I don't care if people don't agree but I can confidently say it anywhere. I even mentioned it in a book I wrote in 2014.

Bro's, leave that story... I applied for DPR 2016 and 99.9% of those they later got the appointment letter did not even applied for the job online. You talk as if you just finish school.

Sometimes i just laugh at the sudden influx and mood, the news of people using long leg creates on this page(i see several (maybe strange) monikers springing up driving this point, quoting and supporting each other almost immediately) knowing that you can be deprived of what's by merit yours as a result of someone having stronger connections, my question is "is it supposed to be news? If you could remember how I was tackled when I told them at DPR thread that the recruitment has been concluded since last year that there is no second batch but some disagreed of which the later realised that I was saying the truth after some months of waiting for second batch.

As regards NNPC recruitment.. The lady was right this is the right time notification is real. You need not to wait for years before you realised that it has been concluded like what happened to DPR stuff while some still believe in second batch after 3years of waiting..

The person is deceiving you and trying to protect his integrity. Do you think they have your time checking thousands of application online not to talk of shortlisting online. I can say it boldly that nobody was picked on merit. In Nigeria of today you have to be collected. Those that got the appointment letter some of them don't even write any test talk less of interview, what they required from them is only their ID number and appointment was issued to them.

They haven't call Administrative Officer but Assistant Administrative Officer has been called.

Sir, if you read the message sent you will discovered that it was being generalized. No name was mentioned, no department just to come with our original credentials and photocopy.

A friend of mine only fill the first & second page of the application when we were filling the form without uploading any document and he was also call for the interview.

They just use the recruitment advert to regularize their in house staff. If you meet any of the top management what they will tell you is that there is no available space for new staff.


That was my last comment pertaining to unilorin recruitment and till now nothing has been done because the recruitment is for regularization. That's why no one has been called from outside.

You are not saying the truth. My wife work with DPR and i saw her monthly payslip and she entered as a graduate 5years ago and her salary per annum is not up to that amount. The period they use to get up to that is only in November and December when they pay them twice of their salary.

There is no crime in saying the truth instead of you to tell them to move on now you are postponing it till June when you yourself know that there is no second batch. My fellow guys don't let anyone cajole you because nothing will happen in the month of June. Be expecting a replacement late this year but note that it won't be an open application.
