italo: It is indeed sad that many religious people are cowed by scientific knowledge.

Of course, that can only boil down to insecurity in their faith.

One who has the true faith should not be made insecure by scientific knowledge. He should rather pursue it.

True Science and True Faith will only lead to the same answers, though they take different routes. However, faith can transcends the scope of science.
You don't really believe the bolded, do you? There is no way you can reconcile religion with science without going against the fundamentals of your beliefs.

Try religiously explaining fossils. (dinosaurs)

Todaynatoday: You created this thread for the sole purpose of mocking God but I tell you, God cannot be mocked. There is nothing absurd about God's omnipresence, you just lack the capacity to understand Him. I'll be praying for you and the other "atheists" so that you will see the light and embrace it.
i created the throw to show exactly what omnipresence means. Do you agree with my assertions about the existence of god everywhere?

They want Biafra but don't want to leave Lagos.

They are like a woman who ties her wrapper, ready to fight but begging others to hold her back. grin grin grin grin
i say cowards, come chase us away.
you don't know who you are dealing with.
your aboki masters have tried with regional favoritism, pogrom, war, marginalisation, kidnapping, economic sabotage, political intimidation, all to no avail. Igbos are still in the north. Now they have started blowing themselves up while we keep developing.
very soon igbo derangement syndrom will cause you all to start blowing yourselves up too.
Biafra or no Biafra, We own Lagos for life. You lost your opportunity in 1967.

ilugunboy: Tell us exactly what you want personally?

Nigeria or Biafra? You lot sounds so confused and in the process muddled the whole discussion up....one minute you are asking for sovereignty...the next you still want to remain in Lagos..a clear Nigerian territory until Yorubas say otherwise
seems like i should listen to bashr8 and stop talking to you people because no matter how many times it is repeated, your oily soup filled brain cannot absorb it.
After reading this thread, I am stumped at to why anyone. . .ANYONE voted this OnlyTruth person as anything other than the paperboy. Sometimes it is not hard to see why Nigeria as a whole is the way it is. We think those who make the loudest noise are the smartest, we don't pay attention to their words. . .nope, that has no bearing on anything. As long as their voice is heard over others, then let them wear the crown.

See the supposed Eze rubbishing himself all over the place. . .he might as well have tied his wrapper and gone to the market to fight the fish sellers for selling him small fish. My God! He is so not worthy of anything close to a leadership position to a people who take pride in who they are.

Thank Goodness that colossal mistake has been rectified with the appointment of Odumchi and Ogugua. . .these two definitely prove that wisdom is not a matter of age. They have more class in their pinkies than the outgoing Eze has in his entire body. Congratulations you two, no doubt you two will treat these titles the respect they rightfully deserve.

We can only hope the rest of the cabinet members who are loyal to whathisface will do right by you two and give you their support.

Best of Luck!!
is that a slip of tongue or did you just reveal that this was no election at all?

ocelot2006: Congratulations to the new Eze Ndigbo and Eze Nyawi, Odumchi and Ogugua88. And I pray the good Lord grant you both the strength in carrying out the noble, 'though arduous, task of uniting the Igbo nation online and advancing their interest and that of Nigeria.

That said, I appeal that you both use your good offices to put an end to the raging tribal e-wars between the Igbos and other tribes, particularly the yorubas, on nairaland (same appeal also goes to the yorubas). As a fellow poster rightfully said, a nation is prosperous when it is at peace with its neighbors. Yes mistakes were made in the past by both sides, but it's time the hatchet is buried so we all can move this great nation Nigeria forward.

Once again congratulations.

God bless the Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas, Annangs', ibibios, Efiks, Tivs, Jukuns, and every other great tribe within this great nation Nigeria.

[s]Long live and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.[/s]

Ugosample: ILm Igbo, but i don't think secession is the solution to our problems. We need to tackle the leaders (national leaders) who has mismanaged our resources and planted tribalism in our hearts to divide us. When we tackle corruption and tribalism, Nigeria will move forward. Besides, i think it's unreasonable to judge others by their tribe . It's not right! My opinion though!
My brother, I used to think like you until my eyes opened to the igbo derangement syndrome suffered by the one nigeria parasites in north and west.

All over the world when ruthless tyrant soldiers take over govts, human right activist are exiled, killed or imprisoned. so chyz The Sugomu and Gongosu of nairaland please tell us which Yoruba leader ran?

Accept your badge of cowardice ibos.

Talk about a confused set of people
it may seem confusing to an Yoruba filled brain, but the clear objective of the igbo nation is the disintegration of Nigeria.

All creation is of God and everyone created has a purpose, whether they have autism or mental problem does not matter, God has a purpose for them.
Why, can't you see that you are contradicting yourself? How can god purposefully create autists and let them have freewill at the same time.? Can't you see that's as impossible as eating your cake and having it?
