Nigerians are smart..it shouldn't be hard to requalify over there or do you have any idea of factors that could contribute to the difficulty in obtaining license as a doc in Canada
Time to get licensed and cash. Just do the research because I have limited knowledge about this issue.

Hi everyone. Is it okay to apply for F1 having already filed the I-129F for K1?
I just got admitted to Boston Uni's MBA for this fall but I'm not sure how applying for F1 will impact the already submitted K1.

Please advise
You should have applied for the F1 before the K1. They might not approve the former for obvious reasons.

Hi Aestake, you are very correct and I dont intent to go against my SP conditions. I just want to get that settled as well so that as soon as I start school, I will start work same day. Funds are depleting and its very expensive here and without any $$$ coming in, it becomes scary to even spend on basic needs.
Na so..welcome!

Thanks a lot Bro. I finally got one, a small room about 18mins walking distance to Sch. I have been chasing the Landlord from Nigeria but he insisted on receiving payment from a Canadian bank. I opened bank account at the airport and got a sim there too cos its required for account opening. Room costs $1040 per month. I bet you its about the cheapest Student residential in Downtown. I was given a deal to pay for 3 months upfront and get one month free and I did. That averaged the cost to $780/month for 4 months. This has drained me but it has given me peace. Just patiently waiting for studies to begin in May. Still staying in my Airbnb till April ending and looking for part time student jobs. Please can you recommend any site or group/recruiters?
Work after sch starts.

There is a problem with educated illiterates on Nairaland: they don't read and think before dropping comments. The U.S. government has just evacuated embassy personnel and not Americans living in Sudan in private capacity. In fact, no nation has undertaken to evacuate her private citizens from Sudan.

Many of you rush to comment even if you don't understand what's being discussed.
Who did Nigerian govt evacuate?

I'm not sure you actually know what you are saying. There are many world class private hospitals in Nigeria being run by foreigners. You are not informed at all.
Akpabio ran abroad just to check a scratch on his leg when he ran red light in Abuja traffic some years back. No fractures, no nothing! Did he actually need a world class hospital for a scratch? Tell me.
You can also check up the following hospitals on the internet: Lagoon hospital, Primus hospital and Eko hospital.
And the attachment below are not just buildings, they're with equipments and experts. You just have to have money
Why are the politicians not using them? No dey count another man investment abegi.

Quality healthcare or services my foot. What's the essence of your quality healthcare if you're going to get poor becus you have a leg injury? A friend had a leg injury and he was billed over $9,000 for visiting the doctor three times. Even when he subscribed to a decent health insurance plan (I think he was using Anchorage). Health insurance in America na scam bro. You can get better services in Nigeria at low cost, we both know this. But we won't agree due to the desire to paint it rosy to people back home.

Don't pray to get sick in America or you might as well go broke for billings. Lol someone was charged $19,769 for a minor surgery. This was someone that didn't have up to $10k in savings

Let's continue lying. It's fine, but when we get to ten corner where we talk, we know how we table the truth as long as people that we want to impress arr not there

When we talk about access to good healthcare, let's not forget about the cost otherwise we'll Just be bias.
The problem in Nigeria is there might be no quality very soon. Canada is stupid for having them as uber drivers and warehouse managers.

i remember the username. Ielts self show me pepper but i never gave up. If i gave up then i would have owned it and not suddenly become anti japa lol
I lost counts during my time. When you see these politicians' children here in classes or elsewhere (for the ones whose folks aren't stealing enough now), you give yourself a pat at the back. Even being in the IELTS exam venues and halls, gave strength as the rich folks would be dropping their children off, I felt like a fish out of water. I still soldiered on!

Rich folks in Nigeria are looking for a way to get the extra citizenship for themselves and their wives. Most of their children have it (most first-borns missed out by birth) but will catch up from study route etc. So a struggling guy shouldn't think they are all in it together. Rich folks and politicians are hoodwinking them every day.

Again, if money means everything to you, in spite of the risk of being kidnapped, shot at (no investigation), you doing your own road, digging water, building a house, putting power on and protecting yourself...that is the trade-off.

Most importantly, Nigeria has to work! Japa is not the answer in the long run.

Nigeria is more than a merit based society. Nigerians are hardworking, what is limiting many Nigerians is the limited opportunities that they have. In Nigeria, everyone provides everything for themselves and you know that.
Merit what?

I am currently a student in one of the best federal University Universities in Nigeria. My current cgpa is 4.63 and I got it without any form of malpractice aka expo. I achieved it with hardwork and dedication. I am not boasting in any way but I am trying to build the confidence of average students that they can get an excellent result without engaging in any form of malpractice or looking for short cut to pass. What they need to do is to work very hard and be fully dedicated to their studies. And lastly, school is not a scam because lots of great men have benefited from it. Great men like Peter obi, chukwuma soludo, wole soyinka, yemi osinbajo.

Na boredom dey worry most, if not all of them. Feel pity for them, they’re are emotionally and mentally damaged. The reality of loneliness, even those with family, face over there makes them unnecessarily angry and aggressive against Nigeria. The food they eat there also contribute to their demeanour. Imagine eaten genetically modified foods, for the next 20-30 yrs, what do you think will happen to such a person’s psyche? grin

Some are on food stamps, welfare and government housing, so they don’t really need to work much to pay bills, as their rent maybe like $33 per month. So they have all the time in the world to still argue about the country they hate so much, instead of focusing on their new found country. wink grin
