Just ask an american to go do drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia so we can know if Saudi will give the american some cake and fanta to enjoy when caught. You seem to forget that not every country takes instruction from the White House. |
Alternative fuel is not viable for now and it is sad that some people believe that the US and EU are doing us a favour by buying our crude oil, fat lie!!! The US cannot do without imported crude oil, infact the US economy will stall the very minute the taps are shut. US owning technology for exporting crude oil? Wetin person no go hear for Nairaland? Na the pipeline abi na the meter provers abi na the vessels abi na wetin? Make una try understand wetin una wan talk about abeg. And by the way China and India will readily appreciate and buy more crude from countries that do not want to sell to the US that get our crude oil for free just buy printing more dollars. |
k0be:If anyone can explain or answer these questions without introducing more confusion then this issue will be clearer to all. Me, I believe that as usual the authorities blew those building up. Why should WTC7 cave in when it was not hit and why didn't other surrounding buildings cave in? |
denex:Won't be surprised if this happens especially now that they are being advised to look for new reasons for the illegal invasion of Iraq as the present ones based on lies have all expired and they are really embarrassing the Americans. |
@Ono, You are simply beating around the bush, the facts of the war are there for all to see but of course you are looking for statements that tie with your hatred filled lies. Do you imagine that Hausas on this forum have not seen this thread? My dear the era where people blindly support their tribe or ethnic group is gone but it seems you are still living in the past. denex:I agree that the Igbos fought for self preservation. The last statement would have made sense if Ojukwu was part of the group that planned the Nzeogwu coup, the counter coup and the massacre of innocent Igbos living in the Northern part of the country. But facts till this day do not support these. |
ono:Your imagination must be running wild my friend. So now he doesn't have all the oil to himself and his people do you now have the oil for yourself and your people? ono:It sounds more like you are filled with envy. How can you quarrel with the fact that a lot of brilliant men around were Igbos (your words, not even mine)? Is it now a bad thing to be brilliant? True the British knew that the Igbos cannot be used as zombies to do their bidding and I guess they found willing tools in the hands of those that fought against the Igbos, thanks for bringing this information to the fore. ono:Now that the war has proven them wrong ARE THE NIGER DELTANS BETTER THAN THE IGBOS TODAY? Answer me now abi na the envy, jealousy and hatred still dey control you? |
bilymuse:Do you expect the government to ask Saudi Arabia not to behead someone that actually committed a crime that is punishable by death? It will indeed be wrong for Nigeria to do so just as it will be wrong for another country to ask Nigeria not to punish a criminal just because he/she is a citizen of that country. |
@Ono, You claim you have Igbo lineage and yet you are unable to coherently state what you think led to the war. What other facts do you need when they have been clearly outlined even on the very first page of this thread? Or, are the facts you are looking for the ones that claim that France and Total planned the war 5 years before? Ok, keep waiting for non Igbos to come and help you in your deep rooted hatred towards an ethnic group you openly stated you wished was annihilated. The hatred you have will gradually consume you. So, it is no longer the crude oil in the Niger Delta but pride, greed, arrogance and self delusion? What a confused being? Again I ask, assuming you are correct with all the lies you have been spreading today are the Niger Deltans better off than the Igbos today? I have been asking this question since yesterday abi you no dey see am well? The Igbos like any other ethnic group cannot be perfect but to watch people like you spread lies and misinformation while opening wishing that all the Igbos were killed even when non killed your people to hate them that much and do nothing is what no Igbo son or daughter will do. And yes, pride is not a bad thing after all if done rightly. I do not see why the average Igbo man should not be proud of his achievements in life. If you've got it, flaunt it jare, abi you never hear am before for your life? Stop hating people, stop generalizing. Fight your fights as they come. |
Seems we are now trying to force the arguement to revolve around what you insist was the cause, sorry, dead end. From day 1 of the counter coup Ojukwu made it clear that a junior Col (Gowon) cannot be his C-I-C, instead the highest surviving army officer at that time (Brigadier Ogundipe) should he the head of state. Biafra was declared about a whole year after Gowon's counter coup and exactly 3 days after Gowon created Rivers State and Cross Rivers State, so what are you really talking about? Since you printed the Biafran Pound with them kukuma tell us when he printed it (Month, not Year) and why. I need not go and ask Ojukwu to find this out. |
See what frustration is causing this man. You make statements that you cannot substantiate and when asked to do so you begin to curse. Meanwhile, while we may go to hell I guess you are there already going by the way you bring in new wild and crazy allegations and of course you advice us to go and ask Ojukwu. You need to gather some primary school children and feed them the lies you are spreading here, that way they won't ask you questions that will expose your lies. |
Well, in this case thanks for reminding us how barbaric the law is. Every country has the right to make laws that suit them. It is not for you to advice them, they know what you are complaining about but they chose to implement what makes sense for them. |
As long as the punishment is meant for offenders in Saudi Arabia and the offenses are clearly spelt out with their attendant penalties there is nothing wrong with Saudi Arabia using any form of punishment in their land. Wetin the Nigerian do? Na offense e be for dia? The punishment na secret? All die na dia whether na injection, bullet, hanging, beheading. There are rules and regulations guiding societies and if you don't like them then keep off those societies. |
Donzman:Exactly. And we are forgetting that Biafra was not declared until 3 days after Gowon proceeded to create some states in the Eastern region all in the bid to weaken the structure there. Someone stated we should go an read a book written by the secretary of Gowon with the forward written by Gowon to understand what happened at Aburi, what nonsense, what do you expect to read there? That Gowon went back on the agreement or what? Well if the likes of Ono that clearly stated that he was not happy that all the Igbos were not killed could try to state that he is not an Igbo hater then I wonder what he is. Thank God for a forum like this, at least he is able to hide behind a computer to write this, many people still have the same dangerous mindset and it is a big shame. |
Even if the US admits to playing games with the collapse of the buildings you will still find Nigerians living in the US that will tell you that the US government is talking crap. When buildings collapse without being hit by anything then one begins to wonder why some of the theories being labeled conspiracy theories will not suffice. |
Have you heard that an armed robber has the right to ask people not to refer to him as an armed robber? Your posts have shown that you hate the Igbos with a passion and it will be a shame if you are now trying state otherwise. Meanwhile, there is a simple question begging for answer. Let us not deviate way too much. Love the Igbos or hate them, you cannot ignore them, that is my take. Enjoy! |
Can you answer the simple question? The question is based on the assumption that all the lies and misinformation being spread are accepted as truth. So answer the question unless the answer is not in your favour and you would rather want us to continue in an endless debate. What more do Igbo haters like you want? |
ono:Assuming everything quoted above is true, ARE THE NIGER DELTANS BETTER OFF WHEN COMPARED TO THE IGBOS ESPECIALLY IN TERMS OF DEVELOPMENT? |
denex:So if Ojukwu did not oppose Gowon because he insisted on fairplay in the military then the plot by France and Total will still be in the pipeline up till this day, is that correct? denex:France and Total did not massacre innocent Igbos in the Northern parts of Nigeria so I fail to see why they should pay any compensation to the Igbos. Igbos do not believe in transfered aggression, they tackle problems as they come. denex:I don't know where you got the information that the Igbos continue to hate the Hausa-Fulanis. The Igbos have put the war behind them and have made very meaningful progress in all spheres of life. Still on Niger Delta crude oil when the world is embracing gas? Na wah ooo. Abi oil no dey Igbo land make I ask again? |
I think people are actually trying to help TayoD before he becomes a danger to himself and to the world at large. Sometimes it makes sense to say things as they are, the guy is plain stupid in my humble opinion. |
Now, I am going to get a dog and the name shall be TayoD. Anything I call the dog I will remember a slowpoke that uses nairaland. How's that for a deal? |
@Denex & Tornadoz, Make una no forget the saying that " He that is down need fear no fall". Na wetin dey worry the olode wey dey do consultancy work for a telecommunications company for hin spare time. The guy has been able to prove that intellectually he is no where but the dangerous thing is that he thinks otherwise, how can life be this wicked to just one person? TayoD, kpele ooooooo. |
If wishes were horses. If you see your lies as wars then you are finished as a human being. I hear CNN is looking for a consultant, interested? |
How convenient, we should go and ask Ojukwu just as you asked the President of France and the MD of Total abi? We have not been chatting by the way. We have been fed lies and we are trying our best to expose such lies. Why don't you attempt to answer question number 3 above so that you can see why your conspiracy theory remains a very wild one? Why hate and at the same time attempt to deny it? |
Some facts to expose some of these liars here. 1. The Eastern Region was administered as a region, not states until 3 days before the Republic of Biafra was announced. 2. If Ojukwu wanted a Biafran Republic he would have done so when Ironsi (an Igbo man) was the head of state, he didn't need to wait until a counter coup took place. 3. If the story that the war had been planned 5 years before the war then where was Ojukwu then? Obviously, Ojukwu had nothing to do with government. Did Total and France show Ojukwu those slides 5 years before the war or 4 years after the war was planned in France? 4. The Republic of Biafra was declared 3 days after the Nigerian government carved out states like Rivers and Cross Rivers from the then Eastern Region. 5. The Eastern Region for about a year maintain an independent government because the head then (Ojukwu) maintained that the head of state should be Brigadier Ogundipe (the highest serving military officer at the time of the counter coup instead of a junior col in the Nigerian Army (professional integrity in the Army). 6. The issue of the Igbo speaking people in Niger Delta is an open secret, I don't bother about them as long as my brothers and sisters in Rivers, Cross Rivers & Delta continue to answer names like Emeka, Obi, Kalu, Odili, Udo(h) etc. You can never quarrel with your heritage. 7. That was something called Aburi accord? What is it? Why did all the parties agree to it but the Nigerian government refused to even abide by what it agreed to? 8. The lies of many even on this forum cannot change facts neither can they rewrite history. |
Banderas:The good thing about a public forum is that it will give you all the time in the world to expose your level of ignorance. Ojukwu was to the Eastern Region as a whole what the governor of say Rivers is to Rivers state today. So, your warped sense of reasoning is like saying that the governor cannot do something in the state because some people do not like him or he is not from their ethnic group. Purge yourself of the hate before it consumes you. Thank God for a forum like this one, never knew people still refuse to engage their brains before putting their mouths into gear. |
@laudate, No worry yourself too much, the guy has been burning inside since I corrected some of his lies (I used to think they were honest mistakes but when rather than acknowledge them he chose to insult me for pointing them out I had the feeling he was just lying his way through). I don't know why a lot of Nigerians take offense when their mistakes are pointed out. No one is perfect. But more importantly, people should try to understand any issue they want discuss, it is better than making wrong statements that can easily be pinpointed. On Plessey, I think the still continued until early last year though. |
@Denex, I wish to state categorically that Total, France and co cannot be the reason for the war even though in any conflict there will be sponsors, sympathizers, thieves, arms dealers etc that will want to benefit from either side. Trying to reduce the issue of the Biafran war to what France and Total wanted is certainly unfortunate and to me remains one of those lines those that hate Igbos always push forward to make themselves feel cool. On Saro Wiwa, what can we say but that nemesis came knocking. When he was made a commissioner at age 26, went to school in Enugu (CIC) and UNN with the Eastern Region money and yet championed the abandoned property campaign even when Igbos did not lose their properties in Yoruba land, I believe that one must pay for his actions whether right or wrong and he was not an exception. Ojukwu gave Saro Wiwa a very good response when Saro Wiwa came to address the Ohaneze concerning the Ogoni problems in Presidential Hotel Enugu. Ojukwu told him" My friend Ken, what you are seeing now is what I saw a quarter century and ago and I remember too well the stand you took at that time". So let the dead bury the dead. Considering the fact that the Igbos were given 20 pounds (that is if you were lucky to provide your passbook after 3 years of war) to begin life afresh and today they can hold their own in every sphere of life, only envy and jealousy will make people try all they can to twist anything concerning the war, a war that the whole world knows about but some would rather have us believe that France and Total initiated the war, very unfortunate. |
Up Ribadu. His records will take a long time to be erased even with the so called selective fight against corruption which by the way is 100% better than no fight at all. |
@Denex, The whole UK terrorism issue is indeed very funny. Little wonder many have chosen to divert attention to personal issues because the hoax has just been exposed for what it is. Recklessness? Maybe Osama will be charged with carelessness very soon the way these script writers are going. The irony of it all is that many that defend these people do not even know that they are being taken for a ride, like the innocent young American soldiers that are being sent to their early graves because Bush has been lying to them and they erronously believe that they are fighting a good fight. |
Well, dem say craze na stage by stage, when you pass this stage now you go begin catch flies for road, na dat time you go know say water don pass garri. Go and listen to Kolomental, e go help you small. |
Laugh no go kill person for hia. So na one of the consultants you work for? You sure say no be fire dem fire you for intellectual bankruptcy? It is adding up as you claimed you worked for just 6 weeks for another top company in the US before joining another top 100 company that gives you the spare time to become a consultant for another telecommunication company. Oya, clap for the most widely travelled ignoramus on planet earth. Just wait till your current employer (that is if it is even true that you are an employee somewhere) figures out that you are empty upstairs and you will hit the road again. It seems the more work experience you acquire the lower your level of reasoning gets, what's wrong? I thought it would be the other way round. |
Hmmm, it seems someone touched something that is hurting this TayoD real bad. TayoD:Na for hia rubber jam road. Consultant in his spare time for a telecommunication company? Na hin be say the company obituary don ready be dat. Mgbo, na only you apply for the job abi you dey even pay dem make you dey do consultancy work for them because me I no kukuma understand how you busy like this yet wetin dey your head no dey make sense. |
