Well Said - I guess some people are clouded by sentiments . The list released are for those who have borrowed money without servicing it. The other fact Soludo should not have taken up the position of AFC whilst being the CBN Gov.
This is akin to claiming that the former chairman of the African Union (AU) is indebted to the world bank because AU owes world bank even though the chairmanship position is being rotated amongst heads of states in the African continent.

It was in the former. AFC is somewhat like the IFC and it's probably far-fetched to describe it as Soludo's company.
Exactly my point. I believe the post is reserved for the CBN governor from the make up of the list of directors
PoliticsRe: Soludo Was Chairman Of AFC. They Owe N32Bn by Afam(m): 6:05pm On Aug 20, 2009
In what capacity did Soludo occupy the position? As CBN governor or as a high "net worth" individual?
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Afam(m): 5:41pm On Aug 20, 2009
I have maintained for long (to the extent that people claim that I am being paid by OBJ) that he remains the best especially when it comes to solving our power problem.

No leader in Nigeria has come close to his genuine efforts to make Nigeria enjoy steady power supply but the lazy media will sell all sorts of lies and misinformation just to twist the facts on ground.

If president Yar'adua had worked on the NIPP stuff since he came in and not allowed the law makers to delay and frustrate the project by now Nigeria would have experience a better deal from PHCN.

OBJ sure does have his faults but when it comes to trying to move this country forward no Nigerian leader compares to this man.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Was Chairman Of AFC. They Owe N32Bn by Afam(m): 5:27pm On Aug 20, 2009
I guess it is harvest time for the media. By the time we are done with the bank stuff mega bucks would have been made by the media houses who will effortlessly lie, twist or even manufacture information just to grab the readers attention which translates to more money in the bank.

Interesting times ahead.

If you agreed to the apology then there is no point in pursuing any case because the brothers had no problems with you but acted in the interest of their brother and you are making peace with the guy while trying to bring the 2 brothers to justice.

Doesn't make sense to me as you cannot eat your cake and have it.

If you want to go ahead to file charges for assault you can and trust me you will, forget about comments that tend to discourage anyone from fighting for his rights in this country.

Police men and women are being dismissed almost every week and this is because some Nigerians insist on not allowing them go scot free for their actions.

Do you see the igbos support the yorubas if the creation of Ijebu state, Ibadan and Akure state ,  Hell NO.

Your people only look at for yourself. And we are started looking out for ourself.

And I think the north should look at for itsself when it comes to removing the yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa state into Benin republic to make the North majority. They should not care for what others think. Because I dont think others would do better.

The north have to protect its interest and it is to the interest of the North that the Yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa state join the republic of Benin republic for the north to have 70% of the oil and majority.

Jimoh Ibrahm was actually right when he said there is no rich man in Nigeria. He said the so-called billionaires are nothing but glorified debtors to banks. He mentioned himself, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola and others as debtors to banks but billionaires to people. He was indeed right when some people in this house and other media abused him for labelling Dangote’s name as debtor.

obj and his boys told us a couple of months back that nigerian banks are beyond destruction and today another school of thought have come to tell us that ibori sole handedly have two banks to their kneels.
who is foolling who nigerians? if only ibori can ruine two banks in this short while out of the solidified 25 banks, it means 12 or 13 ppl will be able to destroy the almighty nigerian banks.
when will all these foolish stories dry up in the mouth of our weak and criminal leaders?
from time to time, obj and co come up with one stupid story or the other just to divert the attentions of the masses.
to me all these rubbish stories are designed to suit the pdp purposes at the polls come 2011.
we are doomed in the areas of leadership and that is just it.
is it not shameful that idiots like obj and yar have continiously decieved us with their unfounded accusations on the side of alams, kalu and obori who to them have been the reason while nigeria has refused to move forward like everyother countries of the world.
the most embarrassing thing here is that we always buy these stupid stories swallowing them hook, line and sinker.
how long will these criminals continue giving excuses?
OBJ's name came up at least 3 times in the post above.

Which one concern OBJ for Ibori's part in the "stressed" banks? Was OBJ not having problems with Ibori to the extent of trying to mess him up in politics?

You kidding me? In America, the army is taught 3 very important things. THEY ARE TAUGHT NEVER TO DO ANYTHING IMMORAL AND TO NEVER (EVER) OBEY A SUPERIOR COMMANDER WHO ORDERS THEM TO DO SOMETHING IMMORAL. They are also taught to protect and defend helpless people. That does not seem to be something that they teach your boys at NDA.

BTW, on a side note, they are also taught TO NEVER PARTICIPATE IN POLITICS but to leave it to the civillians.
1. I don't care about what you teach your soldiers in America because we have information on the web that contradicts what you claim are being taught them as regards disobeying orders.

2. What they teach the guys at NDA is Nigeria's business, NDA is not an offshoot of the US Army

3. Why don't you focus on the issue I raised about US soldiers raping and killing innocent people?

pls wait for ur transaction is processing

Abi wetin u too feel for dat mata?
Valid point. This is easy to implement but again you should understand that most of the banks do not have skilled programmers to do this even though the task is as simple as creating grammar files for any language or having recorded voice files that would be played based on the end user's language preference.

The current problem is due to the fact that we buy technology even when we don't understand the inner workings of the technology and as such even simple tasks or changes are usually too expensive to carry out or difficult to even contemplate.

Are we even sure that 3 people were killed during the disturbance that led to his abduction? He clearly stated that his assistants were released and they took him. I am not sure he would forget to mention any deaths if they actually occurred.

WebmastersRe: Need A Cheap Nigerian Web Hosting Firm by Afam(m): 4:33pm On Aug 18, 2009
switchmax8:
Afam,if i said i need a cheap web hosting company it does not mean am looking for a hosting firm for a token atleast someone that is reliable and they should have 50MB-100MB because the one am using had refused to host 50MB.
Let us assume a physical disk space of say 100GB

If a web hosting company decides to create 50MB hosting plans then it means that the company can actually have up to 2,000 customers having 50MB each.

This server will host the 2,000 accounts no doubt but it would be less reliable than say having just 500 customers at 200MB each or 50 customers with 2GB each.

I am sorry if I am not clear enough but my point is that if you need a reliable web hosting plan it will not necessarily be cheap because the business must make profit for it to be a good business.

I use a dedicated server for my clients and even though I can effortlessly create a 50MB hosting plan and charge as low as anything I will not do so, in fact the least hosting plan starts at 500MB because the cost of storage devices have come down but again you can't gamble with reliability when it comes to the web as credibility can be built or shattered easily on the web.
WebmastersRe: Need A Cheap Nigerian Web Hosting Firm by Afam(m): 1:07pm On Aug 18, 2009
switchmax8:
hello, can someone give the details of some nigerian cheap web hosting firm that are reliable because the one i am using now is getting on my nerves.
When it comes to web hosting cheap and reliable usually don't mix for the following reasons.

1. Web hosting has to do with resources from hardware to software
2. The only way a web hosting company can offer cheap services is to have more and more websites per server which translate to decreased reliability as more and more websites would have to access the same limited resources
3. Another web hosting company may use the same server and host fewer websites which leads to increased reliability but for the business to make sense whatever the web hosting company will charge will not make the business suffer

For example, a single machine can serve just a single website just as it can serve 50 websites or even 5,000 websites. Just remember it's like having 1, 50, or 5,000 people trying to use and coexist in a single room.

Good luck in your search but there is no short cut when it comes to reliability as regards web hosting.
WebmastersRe: Dreamweaver (php/mysql) Help by Afam(m): 8:19am On Aug 18, 2009
As I have always stated on this forum, people should stop learning on actual/real projects because not only can you make or mar yourself you stand a good chance of rubbishing a project that would in turn discourage a lot of people from developing applications for their businesses.

A lot of people today do not want to hear anything about websites because they know or have heard about projects that were paid for but never delivered.

As long as projects continue to go bad the industry will not grow and web developers will be the ones that will bear the brunt of the whole thing.

That training dehumanizes them, that's why they act like animals. Look how they treat civillians as if they are sub-human. See how they handled the insurrection in the Niger Delta and in the North 2 weeks ago, they just went about shooting indiscriminately, THAT IS CALLED INCOMPETENCE.
Are you aware that US marines not only kill innocent people and label them collateral damage and are you are that some US soldiers rape women and then kill them after doing so?

If you are not aware of any of these please, type Iraq in your search box and take time to go through some of the materials you will come across.

The army is not the police. Soldiers are trained to kill not to arrest or beg people to fall into line.

For one second I thought I was actually watching Jack Bauer in one of the seasons of 24. Maybe this will be the theme for Season 9 or 10.

As usual the story ends well, just as the nation was about to go to a civil war one of the rebel groups took over to stabilize the country and Jack Bauer is seen being taken to the hospital in a military helicopter.

What are our movie producers actually doing when scripts like these should be fetching them millions instead of the usual 3 days movie projects they churn out every 4 days?

I Am Militant too, Mr. President
By Victor Segun Olomola
victorolomola@yahoo.com

Can somebody help me to convey my plight to Nigeria’s president to grant me Amnesty that could afford me special monetary allowances, free meals and courtesy call to the Presidential Villa in Abuja to shake hands with power-that-be?

Please I need amnesty. I read about youth gangs coming out from their hideouts with highly sophisticated guns to enjoy the largesse of the amnesty.

Unfortunately I have no guns to surrender but have my skinny body frame to prove that I and my family are in dire need of government urgent relief.

I wish the amnesty would extend to provision of generating plants for my households who have been in total darkness courtesy of Power Holding Company of Nigeria that never generate any so-called megawatt for enough electricity for minimum comforts.

I have searched and searched for any available jobs but all I receive in return is boldly written NO VACANCY at premises of even recruiting agencies. Please, I need this unconditional amnesty that I learn would keep confessed criminal militants some respite through training and loans to enable them set up a business.

I am a militant who has been in the struggle since I was born even when militancy was yet unborn in the Niger Delta. Poverty stared many families in the face that sending the children to public schools that churn out certified illiterates, is a luxury.

I know that the differences between criminality of Niger Delta militants and that of armed robbers is purely of nomenclature because they operate at the same level and for the same purpose of extortion through the use of weapons to intimidate, maim, kill and destroy all for worldly gains. In addition to these similar attributes, I am aware Niger Delta militants are more daring in the destruction of economic lifelines of the nation by the vandalisation of oil pipelines and kidnapping of innocent victims for ransoms while engaging in oil bunkering to deprive the nation of oil revenue.

Should I be forced to surrender any arms to benefit from the amnesty, I may only resort to the danegun inherited from my father for rat hunting which has been source of meat for the family or in the alternatives present old kitchen knife we use to butcher bush meat for sale as a mean of livelihood.

I was not opportune to benefit from the inducements of some politicians and public officers who encourage the jobless youths to take arms for the purpose of rigging election through the intimidation and destruction of perceived political opponents.

Had I known that those sophisticated weapons procured by the politicians and given to the youths would in future appreciate like landed properties in monetary values through exchange with government, I would live all my life in the Niger Delta

I am still lamenting… regretting the fact that some self-confessed criminal militants would be beneficiaries of enticing packages of special training, allowances, salaries, loans and presidential handshake, while other citizens after their educational qualifications and even working experiences are still roaming the street looking for packages for survivals.

Please, can we all be militants so that government can deploy the revenue in the federation account to help us from joblessness and improve other social services for the citizenry?

Kindly convey my message to the President: that I am also a militant, who must declare so to enable me survive the hard time.

I am indeed jealous… very jealous to see known leaders of militants who were pardoned by the previous administration living in luxurious mansions, and riding exotic cars with body guards in our streets just for daring to be proud and confessed criminals.

So what do I find irritating when I see it, the statement that reads "Designed By,  or Site Designed By,  or Developed By, ) at the site's footer. Like you have on the lower right side.

I believe, if you are getting paid for your work, you dont have to put that statement there. Even if you ask the client, can I put a designed by,  and the client says ok you can put it no problem. I strongly feel it should not be placed there. Ok for exposure I just feel it is not professional.

Anyone is free to so say what he/she wants about this, that is my personal opinion.
While I respect the fact that what you wrote above is your personal opinion is there any thing that you have that can back it up in any professional sense?

Products and services have brand names and powered by or design by is the language of the web as regards brand name for the developer.

Clients who don't want any of those credits usually pay for the removal especially when they don't want anyone to know who developed their projects sometimes for security reasons like financial and security related projects.

So, if you have a good reason to see credits as irritating actions let us know so as to avoid confusing others who may assume that your personal opinion is the professional or standard take on the issue.

Do we then ask for removal of emblems on our cars just because we don't like them?

Now that everybody has stopped applauding each other, lets ask a few questions:

How come the first automobile manufacturing  we are seeing from Nigeria is an armoured vehicle?

Is it not harder to manufacture an armoured car than to manufacture a normal car?

How come these guys did not start a Nigerian car line?

Is it not harder to market an affordable armoured vehicle than a new range of affordable Nigerian cars everyone has been clamouring for?

How come we never heard of this prior to now? No documentaries about a new truck manufacturing plant in Ekiti, no news coverage, all of a sudden, Nigeria's indigenous armoured truck premieres at Eagle Square making the headlines?

In reality how is producing an armoured car going to benefit the country or it's citizens?

How about producing some electricity! LMAO  grin grin grin

I believe personally that this project will receive allot of government funding but fail miserably. I personally believe this is a front to steal money and nothing will come of it.

This is a fraud and you are all falling for it  angry angry angry angry
Thanks for your questions. I have some for you.

1. Why is the US not attacking Britain?

2. Why are you on nairaland?

3. Why are you asking many questions?

4. Why did you even wake up today?

5. Why have I not read anything about you on CNN or Guardian newspapers?

So, there are so many questions but the relevancy of the questions raised remains the core issue.

By the way, this is not the first made in Nigeria car.
