yawa-ti-de:The guy does not understand how to setup a menu on top and you are talking about downloading files and reverse engineering. That would be too much a task for him. @poster, I may not have the answer to your question but I have an advice for you. Take time to learn all the basics and try your hands on personal projects before touching a project that someone is either paying for or depends on for serious business. You have all the time in the world to learn what you want to learn, don't be in a hurry and in the process come out with projects that may mess up your credibility because you never can know people that may judge your capability based on what you do for a client (whether friend or not). Good luck. |
ocelot2006:Why spoil an otherwise excellent post with the content in bold? One thing I have come to understand when it comes to negativity by Nigerians especially when Nigerians are thinking outside the box and trying to invent or produce things that some may believe only foreigners are capable of inventing or producing is that majority of Nigerians that do this do so out of envy and jealousy period. Most of them would gladly give an arm or a leg to be in the shoes of those they attempt to ridicule or condemn. When someone says negative things about something I take time to decipher whether the comment is based on honest criticism or pure and unadulterated envy and jealousy. Kudos to the Nigerians for a brave effort. This is 100% better than carrying certificates and looking for jobs for years, crime, 419, kidnapping and other vices. We must learn to appreciate hard work, integrity and develop the can-do spirit. |
Hustler_:It is surprising to see software or even web development companies using free email accounts even in official correspondences and you begin to wonder if there is any good reason to do so. |
Sunny_bobo:I for talk. Enugu state no follow because the type of security wey dey for Enugu state no get part 2. Was there 2 weekends ago and I was shocked to realize that we moved from one night club to the other between 11.00pm and close to 3.00am without problems but of course with security check points at strategic locations. Maybe other states need to borrow a leaf (or even some leaves) from Sullivan Chime. |
kuramo:Every county has the right to make laws that suits it and its citizens. If you feel a country's law is barbaric then don't go there, laws are made by those who have jurisdiction to make them and they are usually tilted to favor the ones making them. Is every single Nigerian living in Libya on death row? Unfortunately, by the time some Nigerians realize that not all countries play with the laws it would have been to late to make amends. We must learn to respect the law and constituted authority. presido1:Unless you have a copy of the constitution of Libya and can confirm that illegal entry does not attract death penalty I cannot debate this. My point is that any country reserves the right to make any laws the way it likes. That Nigeria does not have any serious immigration laws does not mean that other countries will do the same. Some countries are trying to protect their citizens especially as regards to crime. What do illegal immigrants do in foreign lands? How do they feed? Do they work? How do you think crime is promoted? Extreme level of joblessness and/or hopelessness. |
Don't know about the correctness or otherwise of the claim but my question is this Why would Nigerians engage in illegal activities only to complain when laws made in wherever they find themselves begin to deal with them? From drugs, crimes to murder and entering a country illegally as if one is a thief. What is wrong with some of us? |
Nonsense! When these banks refuse to provide loans to serious minded small businesses that may need less than N1M to turn a dream into a viable business but would chase some individuals and companies around and practically begging them to access loans what were they thinking? I have maintained for long now that our banking industry is sick and confused. Little wonder they turn employees to beggars and prostitutes all in the name of looking for deposits without thinking of how they can assist young companies grow into stable mega companies. These guys are so short sighted. |
KnowAll:Your emphasis on OBJ is way too much for your suggestion to sell to people who are objective. You are making this sound as if you have something personal against OBJ and not trying to solve the problem of corruption in Nigeria. Which one you dey? |
Black_Revo:What is wrong in what the IG is proposing? Why do you think thugs are able to seize ballot boxes or scar away voters? You think the thugs come with brooms and rubber slippers? Is it not the same arming of thugs that turned some parts of the ND into semi war zones? As a matter of fact I would push for more. Nigerians should reserve the right to bear small fire arms if the government cannot stop the criminals from having them. How many innocent people need to die at the hands of criminals before we realize that you cannot fight armed men with tear gas and batons? |
nex:Well, if they no tell you anything just buy a bottle of coke and enjoy the view around there and head back home. U don try, u no go kill yourself for people wey dey believe anything wey dem hear once na "my pastor" talk am. |
KnowAll:I stopped reading when I came across the content in bold. Even the same House of reps members have admitted the figure was wrong, nothing close to even $5Billion was spent on the power projects. The fact remains that the only leader in Nigeria that has contributed the most to solving our power problem is OBJ in spite of any mistakes or wrong doings you can attribute to him. If Yar'adua had continued or completed the independent power projects by now we would have seen a reasonable increase in the power supply rather our law makers engaged in useless witch hunting based on ignorance on the workings of EPC projects and succeeded in wasting valuable time while already imported turbines were embracing rust and decay at different ports. We should be able to separate the propaganda and conspiracy theories from facts if we must tackle our problems in this country. |
nex:Gbam! Wetin be the address make we see visual kia kia. Meanwhile, for the first time in a long while I am seeing Tudor write like he is not on drugs. Hmm, it seems he has finally found a good topic (but this is still in the Politics section sha). @Tudor, I hope you apply the same level of objectivity you show here on other issues in Politics and Foreign Affairs. Sentiments really don't help in debates. |
Glad that Nigerians are beginning to see through the many gimmicks of some of our companies and organizations. |
SapeleGuy:I think it is important to point out that the reference to majority or minority has everything to do with the population of the people or tribe in question. This is the same thing as saying that in an election the majority had their way. It is simply a game of numbers. However, usage of the words minority and majority should not be used to look down or insult anyone or group of people. |
There is nothing under the sun that cannot be debated or challenged. All that we need to remember to have useful and reasonable discussions are 1. Mutual respect 2. Honesty 3. Respect for facts and truth Unfortunately, topics are becoming too heated up for some of us to contribute our own little comments or even ask questions. At the end of the day the divide and rule that was introduced into the former eastern region before the war is still very much functional and it is sad that neighbors, friends, relations are turning against each other while those responsible for the mistrust are milking the Niger Delta dry and smiling to the bank. Wake up my people. |
desgiezd:Exactly, even sending a junior minister would have made sense rather than not welcoming her at all at the airport. I hope no one here expects the president or vice president to welcome her. |
Beaf:The link referenced is clear on literacy level so dis ya density abi na viscosity dey confuse me. The funny thing is that the South East are usually taunted as a region where their guys don't go to school yet year in year out their guys enrol more into higher institution than all the other regions. It seems that very soon if merit is respected you will end up seeing the Igbos dominate the work force from government to private while others are busy playing the hate game and terming every single Igbo man a trader. |
goldincome:Seems the web hosting file is infected with a virus. Just check to confirm, tried accessing it using Chrome. |
yemo90:On the contrary you are the stupid one here. You claim to be a web developer yet you have an official company website with 3 links (home page, about us page and contact us page) that you cannot even arrange like a human being even though you are using a free CMS (Joomla). Shows you lack even the basic skills to use an already made solution so asking you to program anything would amount to sheer wickedness on the person asking you to do that. It is people like you that don't know their left from their right and would be stupid enough to expose their ignorance anytime they have the opportunity to do so. Seems you don't even know the difference between tools and solutions, mumu. |
Beaf:Why is Imo State missing in that list? Let's have the % for Imo state if you still have the complete list. |
yemo90:It is either the poster is not a programmer or that he doesn't know what he is talking about. According to him being able to use the same ready made solution for say 1000 clients makes him a genius, not so? How can someone be talking about clients not being able to afford custom made software? It seems obvious that in this case the work he does only attract ready made template minded customers and of course you cannot charge people much when using a ready made solution initiated, designed and developed by someone else. Do you know what programmers charge for programming? Do you know why they charge that much? Ready made solutions on their own don't make websites successful but the unique programming that goes into the solution and in almost all the cases only the original solution (read as the owner) makes all the money while the others continue to duplicate and copy the success stories. Well, considering the fact that the poster's main website is sitting on joomla then one need not wonder why he is making all the crazy statements he's been making since he cannot even put up something for his own website without turning to joomla. Where then are the skills that he intends to use to design or develop websites for other customers? |
remoranger:No wahala. I wasn't too sure myself that was why I responded the way I did earlier. There are thousands of processes begging to be transformed into software. Web programming is not dead and in fact will remain very relevant in a long long time because it is the programmer that can do things like machine to machine or human to machine etc. Take care. |
onye_ngbu:My question to him was an honest one. I am very thorough and would rather ask a question than assume I understood something. I needed to be sure of his questions before answering them. You may help me rephrase the questions and I will answer them. I don't have any issues with him so it is nothing personal. Even some of my clients tell me I ask a lot of questions and I usually tell them it is better to ask than to assume because some assumptions may just be wrong. @remoranger, I am not really sure how to proceed. Please, ask your questions again and I will respond to them. Sorry for any misunderstanding or inconveniences. |
remoranger:Can you please break down your questions to simple questions so I can attempt to answer them? |
yawa-ti-de:If the guy working on the website was only going to spend his time and energy developing the website then why did he stop instead of completing the project and looking for a state to sell the website to? If web developers just wait for paying clients all the time things may be slower than they should be because they are a lot of people looking for web projects and nothing guarantees that you will get a project to do based on merit. How about web developers spending time and energy developing solutions to common everyday or business problems? I once made over N400,000.00 by just changing a few text, images and minor change in layout in less than 4 or 5 days just because someone came across a website I setup as a pet project and realized that most of the features he needed were implemented on the website. I don't know how to state this again but I find it hard to understand why we cannot put our skills to good use. After all those behind youtube, yahoo, myspace, twitter etc don't wait for clients to pay for web projects. |
nex:Dis na the advice of the millennium |
Sure, thanks for your time. |
remoranger:Thanks. But did you click on that link? |
Hello, Does Abia state have a website? I have tried to search for one but nothing is coming up. |
Calling your attention to your lies may be blabbing to you but not to me. Do not imagine that everyone has zero credibility like you, silly thing. If you cannot respond to posts in an intelligent manner it is your problem but stupidly claiming that a poster's contribution may be from one or two people that have disagreed with your myopic reasoning is really disgusting and goes to show that indeed you have no shame or sense of reality. |
