@Afam4eva, no one was going to say the word is Bini. You've been acting paranoid of late over Anioma matters; you didn't use to act like that.
Maybe if you're on the other side, you would understand. I think it has come a time when everybody has to answer their father's name. The SE should focus on SE and leave other to be whatever they want to be. It's not worth it.

Abagworo:
Not all Anioma people lie to themselves.
Of course not but a handful of them do. let me use the example of one Ikerre boy i served with. His name is Uche and when the usual Ikwerre-Igbo argument came up, can you believe that this guy lied too people there that his own name is different from that of Igbos. That his own is Ushe and not uche like Igbos. I would have believed him had i not seen his ID card and other personal effects. Imagine this guy was ready to go to the length pf lying about his name just to dissociate himself from Igbo. It's the same reason that an Anioma person will tell you that they're made up of Bini, Yoruba, Igala and Igbo people. Notice how they a;ways push Igbo to the last position in order for you not to take notice of their similarity with Igbo. Maybe they think they're talking to idiots. I would have made more sense to say that We are Igbos with some mixture of Bini, Igala and Yoruba. Infact, they usually put Igbo and Yoruba in the same breadth and someone who doesn't know better will think that there are loads of Yorubas in Anioma without even realizing that the so-called Yoruba people even speak Igbo.

Fame333:
Hello everyone,

my widow elder sister in
her early 40s , want to go to Dubai and work.

I advised her to go into business but
she's hell bent in relocating.
considering her age, how easy is for her
to secure a job over there?

she's a massage therapist by profession.

any advice for her is welcome. thanks all
She's going to a place where Africans and blacks are not regarded. It may be hard for her to get a job as a massage therapist except she's ready to offer more than just massage...

hrykanu231:
I think Jumia have already given a speech in that regard.
I have watched the video, please why was the guy in the middle arrested?
The guy in the middle is a tatoo artiste who went to draw tatoo o the alleged murder. he was the one who found blood and was about to report before he was threatened by the guy that his family will be killed if he dares to report to the police. That's his own side of the story and i beleive because i watched when both of them were interviewed.

Is Abuja not dependent on Lagos?

Was Abuja not derived from Lagos?

Do the executhieves and legislathieves not have properties in Lagos?

She might be wrong. However, she's trying to tell you that all north are Lagos dependencies. Abuja is only a showglass

Besides, to an "average" core Northerner, Nigeria the the north and Lagos.
I've never seen anyone so proud of advertising their idiocy like this guy.

That's why i'm wondering why you say he's not a politician because anybody appointed into a position even if he's not elected is still somewhat a politician.

Your supposed kits and kins from the other side of the Niger. They'll only like you and accept you if you can join them in the denying game I've studied these people like bible and know how they reason.

Nwannem, those people are brainwashed; you can only present them with facts and leave the conversation. They'll eventually get their wake up call. All of the Delta Igbos I've met, both within and without my family, have been proud Igbos so all of the noisemakers don't faze me undecided.
Many of them are not brainwashed like we'll like to think. They know exactly what they're doing. Present them with all the facts in the world, they've made up their minds not to be associated with anything Igbo.

Ngozi123:
That would be a huge problem for someone like me as I consider some Anioma people from Delta state to be my brethren. My family has intermarried with them for years and that's how I know that they are proud Igbos. My grandmother was from Aboh, again, I can't reveal exactly who she is, and she was a very proud Igbo woman.
Of course, there are proud Igbos from that axis but they're not dling anything to affirm to their Igboness. They keep quiet while people like Emeka Esogbue who are bent on disuniting Igbos are having a field day. If you come across some of these Anioma people who disclaim Igbo in real life, you'll hate them, i'm telling you. And i'm not talking about Ika or Ukwuani people. I'm talking about people from the Asaba area.

If that was the op's intention, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was, then it's dead on arrival as I have one of the names that's described as having "Edo sources" (doubtful in my case) and I'm not from Delta state. If anything, it proves the link that some Anioma people in Delta state have with other Igbos across the Niger.
If you're from the Onitsha axis, they'll tell you that you're Anioma with links to bini

Personally, if i had my way, we should just cut off everyone from Delta and Rivers state. This insults are just too much. We have left more pressing issues to give some insignificant small groups the effrontery to act more important than they are. I've started becoming very wary of any so called Igboid person from Delta or Rivers state.

Benita27:
For me, my 'No' remains 'No' but in the course of that, I still engage them in conversations. There's actually difference between that and making a guy too comfortable.
Then you have to be someone will a strong character because conversing with someone you don't intend to acquiesce to their request can make you develop a soft spot for them.
RomanceRe: Ladies, How Do You Decline Giving Guys Your Contact? by Afam4eva(m): 11:12pm On Apr 05, 2017
Benita27:
Simply say "Sorry, I don't give my number to strangers". If he insist, converse with him but still decline. There's no harm in saying "No" and standing on that, everyone mustn't be your friend, taking numbers from guys you don't like shows you're not stable.
If you're a Nigerian then you should know that you should never make a guy feel comfortable with you if you're not ready to give them what they're asking for else they'll bug you till you drop dead.

@OP
The best way is to decline giving a guy your contact is by respectfully saying know and if they stubbornly insist, you don't need to insult them, just tell the "I'm sorry" and walk away. There's no two way about it.

Football is one hell of a funny. The way some footballers become almost worthless is strange. Imagine someone like Yakubu that you'd expect that those relegation and second division teams will atleast look his way is having his contract terminated by coventry. The worst is even Osazie Odewinge that didn't see anywhere to go but Indonesia. Na wa.

CultureRe: Naming System Of The Anioma People Of Delta State by Afam4eva(m): 9:30pm On Apr 05, 2017
For the interest of peace, i think Anioma issues especially as it pertains to culture should be treated in isolation. If it's about Ika let it be Ika. if it's about Ukwuani, let it be Ukwuani, if it's about Aniocha/Oshimili, let it be Aniocha. Muddling all these groups together in the name of culture makes beautiful articles such as these to come across as ignorant.

The only thing i was able to take out from this article is just another attempt by some people to dissociate Anioma from the larger Igbos as much as possible.
